    List of Top NIT Colleges in India 2023- The NITs or popularly known as the National Institutes of Technology are a group of government-held institutes in India that offer UG, PG, and doctoral programs in engineering and other fields. Candidates often choose the best NIT institute after the IITs on their priority list. Admission into NITs is done on the basis of merit and entrance exams. Candidates will have to appear in national-level entrance examinations such as JEE Main to take admission to the top NIT in India. Candidates who qualify in JEE Main appear for centralized counselling and can choose their preferred specializations based on their choices.
