There are plenty of BBA colleges in India but due to the plethora of options available, students generally face problems while selecting a college for BBA admission.

NSHM students namely Aman Jha (Team Lead), Anwesha Kundu, Sudhanshu Pandey, Mohit Kumar Bajoria & Aryan Kumar Sinha undertook a project on 27th January 2020 to address problems faced by the small-scale manufacturing units. 18 such units in the vicinity were identified such as Kripa Udyog, Prabhu Industries, Quality Glass Enterprises, Calcutta Steel Fabricator, Shree Durga Bakery, Jewels Plastic Pvt. Ltd., etc.

The production units ranged from metallic productions to large scale bakeries, to forms of plastics, to box covers, to glass vials, to cloth embroidery to small scale machinery parts.

Problems identified included:

Operating sector
Number of employees
Production types
Raw materials (types and sources)
Problems faced in procuring raw materials, their logistics and distribution patterns, and types,
On-going operations

Besides these, NSHM students also focussed on other basic issues they face in their daily activities, and their network plan, and also about their storage of finished goods (warehouse and locations).

Findings of the Project:

General lack of skilled manpower in almost all units
Incapacity of the organization to pay the salary and other services
Absenteeism, indiscipline with high labour turnover, strike, resulting in lower efficiency, an uptick in pollution and additional operating costs, and, eventually, a negative influence on the viability of these small-scale units.
Troubles they face in the logistics chain thereby resulting in activities that would become inexpensive and unviable.
Lack of Inertia to get on the online space, in order to promote or sell their businesses online.

As a student of LPU the admission procedure here in LPU is Steps of taking admission Step 1 – Signup Register onto LPUADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and password will be set by you while registering on the portal. You will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this.Login to the LPUADMIT with already created username/ password Step 2 - Application for Admission Recent Photograph Date of Birth proof (Matric certificate, Aadhaar card) Qualifying exam Certificate/ Marksheet. Also, if the applicant is claiming scholarship on the basis of Step 3- Apply LPUNEST (for Scholarship) LPUNEST is an online test for scholarship. Student can avail huge scholarship based on performance in this test. Deposit the test fee: Cost of Application form and Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is ₹1000 (for Boys) and ₹500 (for Girls).
