Courses at Lady Hardinge Medical College

Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi offers both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Medical courses to medical aspirants from all over the country. The UG MBBS course in LHMC is divided into four parts namely first professional MBBS, second professional MBBS, third professional MBBS part I and third professional MBBS part II. 

The first professional MBBS is a twelve-month course in which subjects like Anatomy, Community medicine and Physiology Biochemistry. The second professional MBBS course is taught over a time period of seventeen months in various subjects like Pathology, Pharmacology, Medicine, Surgery, Microbiology and many more. The third professional MBBS (part I) course is a twelve-month course in subjects like Surgery, Medicine, ENT, Pediatrics, Psychiatry etc. Part II third professional MBBS course deals with subjects like Radiology, Dermatology, Obstet. & Gynae which are taught within a time span of twelve months again. 

The students after the completion of the final exam at the end of four and half years will have to go through a 12 month internship period and only then the students will be awarded their MBBS degree. The internship period includes 2-month fieldwork in rural health centres of the country. The students during the internship period will be entitled to a stipend as per the Govt. of India guidelines. 

There are several Postgraduate and super speciality courses in LHMC like MD/MS courses, M.Ch (Paediatric Surgery), MDS (Oral Maxillofacial Surgery) and DM Neonatology.

The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) results have been announced on the official website. For admission to the UG and PG courses at Lady Hardinge Medical College New Delhi, NEET scores are considered. The NEET exam is conducted and managed by the NTA which is also responsible for releasing the results. Hence, the results have been announced on neet.nta.nic.in. If you are seeking admission to LHMC New Delhi then you have to qualify for both the NEET qualifying cut-off as well as LHMC admission cut-off.

Dear Akansha, 

Yes, Lady Hardinge Medical College does offer B.Sc Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology course at the college. Admission to the B.Sc MRIT course is offered on the basis of NEET scores and rank. If you have qualified the NEET exam then you have to appear for the counselling process and select LHMC Delhi during the choice filling and locking process. Other than LHMC Delhi, AIIMS Delhi, BSATES, RML PGI and Jamia Hamdard also offer B.Sc MRIT courses in Delhi.

For admission in B.Sc (H) Nursing at LHMC New Delhi, NEET UG scores are taken into consideration. So, for admission in the course, you need to obtain a good score in NEET UG as the college cut off is usually high. The total fee for B.Sc (H) Nursing course is Rs 16,805.

Dear Student, The National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) results are considered for admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Lady Hardinge Medical College New Delhi. The NEET exam is conducted and managed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) which is also responsible for releasing the results. Once the results are out, the NEET qualifying cut off lists are also made available. The release of the results and qualifying cutoff will be followed by the publication of the LHMC cut off list, which will include the opening and closing ranks.
