The National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur offers a variety of Ayurveda courses such as Certificate Courses, Diploma courses at the UG, PG and PhD levels. The UG Course of BAMS has a duration of 5.5 years. The students undergo a 1-year internship in various subjects as specified by CCIM after BAMS course. During the BAMS internship, students get a stipend of approximately Rs.12,684 per month. The total intake for BAMS course is 92 per year out of which 1 seat is reserved for Central Govt. nomination, 2 for foreign nationals sponsored by ICCR, 10 for South-East Asian countries, 10 seats for girls and reservation for SC, ST, OBC and PH as per the government of India norms.
The PG course has a 3 years duration and the diploma course in AYUSH Nursing and Pharmacy (DANP) has a duration of 2.5 years which includes a 6-month internship. The institute also offers Panchakarma certificate course as well as Panchakarma technician course having a duration of 45 days and 1 year respectively; with the total intake of 10 students for the certificate course and 30 for the technician course.
