SD College (SDC), Ghaziabad Fees Structure & Courses List 2024-25

SD College Ghaziabad offers an array of courses that interest students. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, skill-development, self-financed, PhD, and co-curricular courses. These courses are offered in multiple specialisations like English, Hindi, Economics, Sociology, and Political Science, among others. SD College Courses

The college offers BA and MA for the undergraduate and postgraduate levels respectively.

• For the Research level, it offers Phd and Doctoral courses.
• The SD College B.Com and B.Ed are two of its self-financed programmes.
• The co-curricular courses include NCC (National Cadets Corps) and NSS (National Service Scheme).

BA

This comes under the regular undergraduate courses offered by the college. This course os for a duration of 3 years. It is offered in many specialisations like English, Economics, Hindi, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, and History. 

MA

This is the postgraduate level regular course offered by Shambhu Dayal College Ghaziabad. This is for a duration of 2 years and is also offered in specialisations like English, Economics, Hindi, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, and History. 

PhD and Doctoral

These are the research level courses offered by the institute. These come with special research facilities and a Post Doctoral Fellowship. The institute has proper labs as well for these courses and their research. 

Skill Development Courses

• Fundamentals of Computer and IT: This course is for students who are interested in computers and the information technology domain. It comes with practical learning along with all the fundamentals of computers.
• Basic Communicative English: This is a specially designed course for students who are weak in English. It helps students become confident in speaking as well as improves their personalities.
• Communication Skill and Personality Development: This course aims to improve the personality of students to make them industry-ready and confident.

• Yoga and Corrective: For students who are inclined toward yoga and exercise, this is a perfect course. It skills students to excel in yoga and other physical exercises.

B.Com

This is a 3-year undergraduate course. This is appropriate for commerce students. This is one of the self-financed courses of the institute.

B.Ed

This is another self-finance course of the college. This is for a duration of 3 years. Students who wish to go ahead in a career of teaching opt for this course.

NCC

NCC stands for National Cadets Corps. This is a 2-year course where students have to stay in the NCC Camps for the entire duration. The Officer Commanding can also train for a period of 4 years. According to the Central Government, students who obtain a C grade certificate can avail of benefits in the military service sector.  

NSS

NSS stands for National Service Scheme. This course functions in relation to various social development and social work schemes. There is a one-year social service camp organised by the college. Students must complete 120 hours of social service as per this camp. With the completion of this course, extra marks are awarded during admission to B.Ed and LLB courses.
