Located in Durham, Ontario, Durham College was originally founded in 1967.  It then offered courses in the fields of business, applied arts and technology. The earlier partnerships of the institutions included York and Trent universities. The present affiliation of Durham is with Ontario Tech University. Durham College ranked at the first position for international satisfaction by KPI survey results. It is considered among the top 100 universities of Canada. The college has been accredited by the Law Society of Upper Canada (LSUC). The institution has academic affiliations with CBIE, ACCC and AUCC and technology based training and course partnerships with Ontario Tech University.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Durham College has two main campuses, situated in Oshawa and the other in Whitby, Ontario, and a learning site in Pickering. Uxbridge campus was an Ontario Employment Services center initially, but the Uxbridge site now has classrooms to offer programs. The college offers courses in health sciences and adult training and a wide range of full-time, online, certificate and diploma courses in fields such as Media, Art, General Arts, Justice, Health, Skilled Trade and Engineering. Apart from the Oshawa branch, there is a campus in Whitby, as well as a learning site in Pickering. In addition, the college organizes cooking, sewing, and beauty and fashion camps.

Accomplishments & Alumni

Durham ensures its visibility and active participation in many facets of life. The campus organises Campus Walk Program to pursue health and wellness through physical and mental health sync. There is availability of Esports arena in the institute, organisation of Peer tutoring, peer wellness coaching, variety sports organisation and on-campus clinics for fast response to the emergency woes. These are the best accomplishments as they ease the whole college experience of the students. Notable names such as Sherwood Bassin, Brandon Nolan, Jeffery S. Boyce, Sheldon McIntosh, Bev Woods and Paul Vessey are the alumni of the institution.

Student Diversity & Visiting Companies

Durham College has more than 13,600 full-time post-secondary and apprenticeship students, including more than 2,000 international students from over 60 countries. The college has a Peer Wellness program as an anti-bullying campaign and diversity builder and a Activist campaign for Gender-based violence awareness among students. The college also supports the First Indigeneous community network. Companies coming for recruitment and internships are Margdarshak Consultants, EDUTRICKZ LLC, Boeing, WowMakers Digital Experience Studio and many more. The institution also has a Coffee Conversations program for the current students to connect with their field related alumnus.
