Roosevelt University was established in the year 1945 by Edward J. Sparling. It is a private university located in Chicago and in Schaumburg, Illinois. The name of the university was kept after the death of its president Franklin D. Roosevelt. The university is affiliated with NCA and The Higher Learning Commission. Talking about its ranking, Roosevelt University is ranked #293-#381 in National Universities by the US News and World Report 2020 edition. 

Infrastructure, Campus, & Courses

Roosevelt University is spread across 34-acres in an urban setting. The university has two campuses one in Downtown Chicago campus, Illinois and another is Albert A. Robin campus in Schaumburg Illinois. Both the campuses have a number of programs such as masters and bachelor’s programs in Accounting, Accounting Forensics, African American Studies, Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Computer science, Cyber Security, and many more. 

Accomplishments & Alumni 

Students won awards such as trumpet audition with “Pershing’s Own”, Prestigious Arleen Auger Prize and prize money of 5,000 pounds, Jeju international Brass Competition to name a few. The median starting salary of alumni is $46,700 making it one of the preferred universities to pursue academics.

Popular alumni include entertainers, politicians, and academics. Anthony Braxton, Harold Washington, and Danita Vance to name a few.
