GITAM GAT exam for M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering includes questions from 10+2 level Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Quantitative Aptitude & Analytical Reasoning, and English. The exam is conducted online in remote proctored mode for a duration of 2 hours. Multiple choice questions are asked, each carrying 2 marks. You can check the detailed GITAM GAT 2025 exam pattern and GITAM GAT 2025 syllabus to keep your preparations on track. 

However, once you get admitted to the course, you will find the M.Tech Computer Science course syllabus much different from the entrance one. The course syllabus will include various topics such as Machine Learning, Advanced Data Structures, Soft Computing etc. The course will be of 2 years, further divided into 4 semesters each.

There are a total of 10 courses offered by the GITAM (Deemed To Be University) Bangalore to interested candidates at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The courses are offered at the university in various streams such as arts, science, engineering, commerce, computer applications and more. There are various entrance exams accepted by the university for admission such as GITAM GAT, KCET, MAT, XAT, CAT, NMAT, CMAT, KMAT, Karnataka PGECET, GATE and more. The GITAM KCET cutoff 2023 has not been released yet. The final round KCET cutoff 2022 for general category was 174044 for admission to B.Tech courses. As per your rank, it is very likely that you might get a seat in B.Tech at the university.

The admission to BE/B.Tech course at GITAM (Deemed To Be University) Bangalore is offered on the basis of KCET entrance exam to interested candidates. The KCET 2022 last round cutoff for B.Tech CSE course is 174044 for the General All India quota, 70000 for the OBC All India quota, 165287 for the SC All India quota, 107986 for the ST quota, 70728 for the General home state category and more. So if 146000 is your KCET rank, there are good chances that you'll get a BE/B.Tech seat at the GITAM (Deemed to be University) Bangalore.

Dear Student,

The admission to M.Tech at GITAM (Deemed to be University) on the basis of merit in the GAT-PGT entrance test. However, if you have a valid score in GATE, you will be exempted from the entrance test and the admission will be done on the basis of GATE score. It is not mandatory to have a GATE score for admission.
