Hindu College Admission: The University of Delhi released the UG Spot Round 2 result and the 3rd round of the DU PG Seat Allotment result. Students could check the status online.

Hindu College courses are offered at both UG and PG levels, in the fields of arts, science and commerce. It also offers certificate programmes. There are around 15 departments that offer the programmes. The Hindu College fees range from Rs 36,000 to Rs 61,000. The fees will vary based on the degree level opted for and also the duration of the course. 

The Hindu College course admissions are determined on the basis of both merit and entrance exam scores. It accepts CUET UG and CUET PG scores for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions, respectively. Candidates who score higher than the Hindu College cut off are given admission. 

The Hindu College placement is carried out by its placement cell ‘Disha’. Hindu College Cut Off 2023

The Hindu College cut off 2023 is released via the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) 2023. This seat allocation or distribution list for admission to the UG courses is made public by the CSAS counselling 2023. The results of the CUET UG 2023 are taken into account. After passing the entrance exam, applicants must meet or be eligible for the Hindu College CUET cut off 2023 list.

The Hindu College cut off is the score needed to be admitted to the undergraduate degrees provided here. Hindu College offers full-time programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. The admissions to Hindu College have changed the criteria from the 2023 session. For the UG courses, students must clear the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) apart from clearing Class 12 exams and for the PG courses CUET PG is a must.

The eligibility criteria for the UG and PG courses vary. Clearing Class 12 examinations with a minimum of 40% is a must to apply for Hindu College admission. While for the undergraduate courses, admissions were based on the Class 12 marks till now, the eligibility criteria have been modified in the year 2023. Hindu College Placement

The students of Hindu College have an edge when it comes to placements. This is owed to the reputation that the college holds. While there are many societies within the college for various activities, “Disha” is the Hindu College placement cell. Disha conducts enriching pre-placement activities for students to make them industry-ready. Personality development seminars, mock interview sessions, grooming skills, and communication enhancement are polished. 

The Hindu College placement is a success each year with an average placement rate of 95%. The majority of the recruitment happens in companies like Google, Deloitte, KPMG, HDFC Bank, Jaypee, Maruti, and Ernst and Young, among others. As per the Hindu College placement report, the highest package offered for the 2022 session was Rs 19.3 lakh per annum and the average package offered was Rs 8.4 lakh per annum.   • Saroj Bala Malik Scholarship

Two scholarships of Rs 15,000 each will be provided to Science final year students as per this scheme. 

  • Amit Prasad Memorial Scholarship

One scholarship each of Rs 12,000 will be provided to 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd-year students of BA (H) Economics.

  • Sangeeta Negi Scholarship

The toppers of the 1st year and 2nd year of B.Sc (Chemistry) will be awarded a scholarship of Rs 2,000 each.

Hindu College Library Facilities

The Hindu College Library is one of the oldest libraries in Delhi University. It was founded in 1899. The library is fully air-conditioned and digitised. There is an allotted reading room for students and teachers. All the best books and resources are stocked in the library so that students can make full use of them. Students can also avail of the library membership that offers them various added benefits. 

Auditorium

A huge auditorium of 3362 square feet is present in the university. It has a seating capacity of more than 900 individuals. In addition, there are also 2 green rooms and a balcony.

Food court

Hindu College food court consists of a canteen and open-air court. A variety of cuisines are available at reasonable prices. The canteen caters to the eating habits of diverse groups. A modern kitchen is present where hygienic food is freshly prepared. There is a capacity of 100 students for the indoor canteen and 200 students for the outdoor canteen. 

Banking 

A branch of the State Bank of India is present on campus.

Girls’ Common Room

A hall with sofas, seating arrangements, and a washroom has been specially designed for female students. It provides vending machines for all female hygiene essentials. 

Health Facilities

Hindu College is situated near famous hospitals like Hindu Rao Hospital, St. Stephens Hospital, and Tirath Ram Hospital. The institute has round-the-clock medical aid for the students and staff. All basic types of equipment are present on campus for medical needs.

Hostels

The Hindu College hostels are desired by most students upon admission. They are situated in a peaceful and greenery-filled environment. There are more than 119 rooms with all necessary facilities like Wi-Fi, clean washrooms, beddings, canteen and mess, etc. There are Common Rooms in the hostels which have recreational facilities. Hindu College Academic & Industry Collaborations

The college offers one-year certificate, and self-financing courses in the following foreign languages: German, Spanish, and French. Foreign language skills equip the students for seeking employment in different parts of the world. The courses are conducted in collaboration with Goethe Institute/Max Mueller Bhawan, Institute Cervantes, and Alliance Francaise de Delhi. Teachers for foreign languages are appointed by their respective institutes with whom Hindu College has entered into a joint collaboration. The curriculums are designed by the collaborating institutes/Departments, unlike the syllabus for regular courses which is designed by the university.

  • Collaboration with ‘Save the Quest’ NGO for spreading awareness and conducting self-reliant activities for the visually impaired
  • Enactus launched Project Shreshth in collaboration with the Khadi Department of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises, GOI, to inculcate entrepreneurship skills among women living in Badli Industrial Area.
  • Earthlings: The Wildlife Society organizes trips to zoological and biodiversity parks such as Kamla Nehru Ridge, National Zoological Park and Asola Bhatti wildlife sanctuary. The society has active collaboration with bigger organizations such as WWF engaged in fundraising and awareness campaigns.
    • The Institution has collaborated with the National University of Singapore, Singapore for faculty and student exchange. The student exchange has been going on successfully. So far, 7 students have visited the College to study for one semester each in courses such as Political Science, History, Zoology, and Sociology.
    • A World Bank-sponsored project of Kabul University - Delhi University Exchange Programme was initiated in 2010 wherein faculty exchange took place. Our faculty visited Kabul University for the on-site design of the curriculum and hosted their faculty for training.
    • A faculty member of the Statistics Department of the College was one of the Resource Persons for the DU – KU Mathematics Programme, which was a part of the Kabul University and Delhi University Partnership course towards Strengthening Education Programme (SHEP) in Kabul University, funded by the World Bank. Another faculty member was a Professor of Statistics in the Department of Applied Statistics, Debub University, Awassa, Ethiopia on UNDP Teaching Assignment from 20 October 2004 till 16 August 2005.
    • The faculty members of the Chemistry Department of the College are members of the core group of Leadership - A Teri Tetra-Pak Initiative. The course is for undergraduate and postgraduate students and focuses on business and sustainability. Two students have been selected as fellows for the course.
    • Hindu College has received special grants from various agencies including the prestigious Star College Scheme sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, to equip the science departments with the latest machines, chemicals, computer peripherals and laboratory equipment, to upgrade the research facilities.

Overall: My time at this college was simply amazing ! The campus is such a peaceful yet vibrant place, and I have met some really cool people. College provides a good balance of academics and extracurricular activities which enables the students to get involved in the college life that becomes a vibrant and nice place for students.

Placement: The college emphasizes the factors related with placements a lot. The team for placements assiduously puts its efforts to offer the students the chance for interning and on position in the big companies Ample students have their jobs secured through the constant support and the industry links provided by the college.

Infrastructure: The campus of the college is majorly adequate. Classrooms are integrated with student-oriented classrooms and advanced learning gadgets. Labs have then required resources for practical sessions and the library is incredible resource for research and studying.

Overall: This college, my learning and climbing platform, has been a wonderful place to be. I have encountered a warm and inclusive atmosphere here, interacting with other students and faculty members has been quite pleasant.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is very imposing, it has the latest state of the art facilities for the benefit of students. There are modern technologies in all classrooms, laboratories are well kept with essential equipment and the library has a wealth of resources used for study and research.
