Overall: IEM college in Kolkata is from the one of the colleges which offers good quality of education with positive leaning environment. College area is also huge. Canteen is there for students and faculties.
Placement: Placement offers are considerably good. Students can get placement with less efforts. Internships are mandatory to get the placement but internships are also provided by the college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of IEM is nicely designed. Design itself gives positives vibes that do motivate students to learn, fun & enjoy . Campus has huge playground, with nice studyrooms.
Faculty: Faculties are so good, they always to help students in whatever way the can do. Faculties are well qualified and experience. Some faculties also bring international experience that help students to learn in effective way.
Hostel: I found my hostel is too good than my imagination. Hostels is so hygienic and cleaned . the food served here has very good taste. Wi-Fi connective is also good. Laundry service is also provided by the Hostel.
Overall: According to me there is some things that i don't like and also many things that i like most. As i can say teaching experience from faculties is good, library i like the most.One thing that disappointed me is their no playground in college campus.
Faculty: Qualification of the faculty is Doctorate, see every faculty has their own teaching method, from those whome i taught they are good. But yes one or two faculty really need to change.
Hostel: College has hostels for both boys and girls separately in different places near the college.You have the facility of food in college in tiffin time. There is canteen only for hostel students.
Overall: There are so many opportunities are available in college..we can do work in any field with deeply knowledge..but we can involve by heart and soul..in.. college
Infrastructure: My college infrastructure is not so good,no campus available in my college..no any playground..but in academic one of the best private engineering colleges in Kolkata
Faculty: Faculty members are very supportive in my college..and always want to maintain discipline..as we know each and every step of success we need to one most thing is discipline..in which iem follow discipline system
Hostel: Hostel fee structure is very high according to Bengal food structure..but in hostel all food items are available..and each and every occasion special food items are provided
Overall: University of engineering and management is the branch of IEM,but now Institute of engineering and management is under university of engineering and management.There are two branches of UEM.One is uem- kolkata,and other is uem- joypur.
Placement: There are several company.TCS, CAPGEMINI, COGNIZANT.All this company come to take students for their company.This year TCS and Accenture come,but 50 students take TCS.
Infrastructure: There are three buildings in uem-iem campus.Institute of engineering and management is fully ac and class room are very big, educational instruments are available in the class room.
Faculty: All facilities are carefully and good, innocent.HOD of all the department train the students.There are almost 250 faculties in University of engineering and management.
Overall: I really was able to see the world in a new way of light and from the very starting the faculty members were very supportive and Understanding I would recommend you too to get admission here.
Infrastructure: The building and the equipments are at high quality and are always free to be of use by the students Washrooms are clean and maintained regularly and canteen too is hygienic and tidy.
Faculty: Kind and understanding always ready to help and solve our problems teach us with utmost care and also help us in projects and assignments. You will not need any external tuitions.
Hostel: The rooms are clean and not to mention pretty big and vibrant clean and dusted regularly. Good bedding and food for breakfast and dinner, Warden is a kind and understanding man too.

Overall: Our college is extremely strict and disciplined. The college gates are closed after 9:30 am and we are not allowed to go out during the college hours. We have extremely qualified teacher and professor. Our classes are held very effectively and invigilation is always active. Examinations are held thrice a year. We have many fest which are cultural and also technical. Overall we are told to participate in various sports and intercollege event. We have a pleasant experience throughout the day.
Placement: Many multinational companies come for the placements. The in campus placements are very good and nearly 90 percent students get placements. Also we are taught separately for the pavement exams. Companies such as tcs and cognizant and several good companies come here several times and many rounds are performed.
Infrastructure: There are many buildings and several laboratories for different activities. Overall there are 3 buildings and of average of 5 to 7 floors. There are lifts every building. Also the classrooms are well maintained also the bathrooms are hygienic.
Faculty: The faculty is of high quality and very respected qualifications. All the studies are completed in the classes itself and only a bit of revision is required before the exam. Regular tests and assignments are given to test our advancement. Overall it's a very good experience with the teachers as they are very frank and also friendly.
Hostel: The hostel are like flats and very very clean. The bathrooms and infrastructure are well maintained. The food is clean and tasty. Ac is available at a higher cost. Washing machine is available. Lunch and dinner and breakfast are given.
Overall: IEM kolkata is a good college for engineering. The labs are upto mark and are quite resourceful. The quality of education is good. The subjects chosen are according to market needs and requirements.
Placement: The average package has stood on a standstill for quite few years and needs a push . It needs to compete with developing colleges on this sector and uplift it's image .
Infrastructure: Iem Kolkata does not have much of infrastructure. It's just a 8 floored building with few basic necessities just for the namesake. The infrastructure available are not maintained and not utilised upto their potential
Faculty: This is completely on your luck whether you get a good faculty or not. There are few good faculties and few troublesome. Few will motivate and few will demotivate.
Hostel: The hostel is a bit on the costly side compared to the market rate and the facilities are quite substandard and need to improve. The facilities available are not impressive.

Overall: IEM Kolkata is one of the best college in West Bengal. It has good record of placement. Infrastructure is quite good. Wi-fi is available throughout the campus. College have good faculty which are very much supportive in nature. You can also get scholarship and financial assistance from college if needed. I have got Rs 13000 as I have certain medical emergency.
Placement: The Placement Scenario is quite good. Almost 90% student get placed. Companies Like Oracle, eQTechnologic, Accenture, Deloitte, IBM, PwC visits our campus. The campus placements mainly starts from the seventh semester.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite good. The college has three buildings. Wi-fi is available throughout the campus. Library is open 24*7 throughout the year. Classrooms are well lighted and maintained. All the classrooms have projector in it.
Faculty: Faculties here are quite good and supportive in nature. Some of them are PhD while some are pursuing. They mainly uses ppt presentation to teach a topic and explain from the ppt.
Hostel: The college have hostel which is at walking distance from the college. Hostel provides mess option. One have to take permission from their HOD in order to take leave.
Overall: A very trusted and reliable college not only for it's good education and providing jobs but also for showing humanity towards every student. I'm a CSE-AI student of first year in IEM and I'm from a middle class family. So it is very hard for me to continue in the college for 4 years but at that time I came to know about 'IEM Alumni Scholarship'. I went to IEM authorities , they understood my points and gave me the scholarship to support me both financially and mentally. Thanks to IEM for supporting me in my studies . I'll be forever grateful to IEM authority for this support.
Overall: IEM is one of the best private engineering college in west bengal. The faculties present in this college are highly qualified and very helpful to the students. The infrastructure is very good and there are lots of events happen every year in our college. One demerit of this college is that it is very strict. This college is ragging free. There is a huge library present in IEM in which lots of different kinds of books are present to students. The companies which comes in our college for placement are TCS, CAPGEMINI, INFOSYS,DELOITTE,PWC. The average package offered is 3.5 lakhs/per annum. Hostel of this college is not good because the food quality is not good and a student must have to maintain discipline all the time.
