LPU Campus

LPU campus is regarded as one of the best campuses among private universities in India. Similarly, LPU’s infrastructure is one of the biggest and best in the world. The campus of LPU is surrounded by trees and gardens that make teaching and learning environment more comfortable. The pollution-free and healthy environment at LPU campus is other major highlights of the campus..

The LPU central library is one of the major attractions of LPU. The library has lakhs of books in various subjects, and it helps students to clarify their subject related doubts. The library also has several magazines, journals, newspapers etc so that students spend their recreation time by updating themselves with the latest happenings.

LPU has labs for all the required courses that impart practical knowledge to students. The Chemistry Laboratory and MAC Lab are the major highlights across all labs prevalent on LPU campus. Aviation Lab is the supreme lab on LPU campus that offers outstanding practical experience to the students of Airlines course.

LPU has a separate division or building for research activities. Scholars, faculty, and scientists involved in constant research activities in different areas of specialisation. The major aim of the research centre is to make valuable contributions to the country.

As far as sports facilities are concerned, the campus is bestowed by all major sports facilities. There is a separate football field, cricket ground, boxing ring, and taekwondo for interested students. Apart from these, there are separate areas for all major sports, athletics etc. The B.P.Ed/ M.P.Ed and other physical education students of LPU host several sports events/ competitions on the campus.

As LPU has students from various states and countries, cultural events play a vital role. LPU has one of the largest indoor auditoriums in the country – Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium for various official, academic, and cultural activities. The Open Air Theatre at LPU is one of the favourite spots for students to hang out during non-academic hours. Baldev Raj Mittal auditorium is the third spot at LPU for hosting formal and informal events.

Recreation facilities at LPU are top notch. The campus has a Roller Skating Rink that is often busy during exam breaks. The Snooker Longue, In-House Bowing Complex and  Fitness Edge offer required entertainment to students so that they are relieved from exam/ academic stress.

Apart from the above, University Mall and Cafe Coffee Day are the other top recreation spots on the campus. Students can buy the required things from university mall. For banking, students need not go out of the campus, as LPU has 5 banks and 55 ATMs on its campus.

LPU has more than 300 food kiosks that cook unique varieties of food for minimal costs. African Food Cafe is one of the major highlights while there is a specific sweets store that offers all kinds of Punjabi sweets.

LPU has fully secured student residence facility. The separate hotel facility is provided to boys and girls. The hostels are offered to students on a sharing basis (two or three mostly) and single basis (as per the needs of students subject to availability). The fees for different categories of hostel facility will be different. The hostel has all the facilities such as convenience store, hospital, and in-house laundry. Students can use bicycles for an easy commute on the campus.

The University offers the largest residential capacity in world within the campus, separately for boys and girls. Details for Mess Plan for Academic session 2024-25

Early Decision Benefit on mess charges up to INR 5000 would be given to the students, if the applicant avail the mess facility on or before 30th April 2024.

  • Mess Plan will be provided till the end of the regular academic session including regular exams or 10 months from the start of the session, whichever is earlier. Students can avail the mess plan two days prior to the start of the academic session and will be required to leave it within two days after regular exams. For availing Mess Plan after the end of academic session for any purpose like summer school/ reappear examination/ make up examination/ PEP/ EEP classes etc., additional proportionate Charges for mess and its administration will have to be paid by the student, subject to the availability and permission for mess plan.
  • A customized plan (e.g. for the full calendar year) may be provided on request.
  • Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Mess Plan may be offered in 2 different categories i.e. Standard Mess and Ala Carte.
  • Standard plan includes option of North Indian/ South Indian/ Rajasthani/ Haryanvi/ Gujarati/ Eastern/ North-Eastern Cuisines. North Indian and South Indian cuisines can be opted in the same hostel mess or at centralized locations. Regional cuisine is available at specific locations only.
  • Ala Carte - Choice of Dishes plan includes the option to take any available dish from any cuisine. For example in lunch, student may pick a few dishes from the available North Indian menu and a few from the available South Indian menu and a few from some other cuisine. In dinner, students may opt differently as per his/her choice. This Mess Type will be served at selected locations that may be outside the allotted hostel.

Charges for IN-House Laundry for Academic session 2024-25

  • Quality Laundry Services are available in the University Campus. The Laundry Services are provided through the best washing and drying machines using standard chemicals.
  • The Laundry facility is optional. The Charges for Laundry and its administration is Rs. 5000 for the academic session
  • Generally, the steam press system is used.
  • Delivery/ collection is generally done in a bag with the proper identification number of the user at a specified place in Residential Compound.
  • Each student can get *Upto 70 clothes per month of his/her own clothes (not of his friends/ associates) washed/ironed from the Laundry. If in a specific month student utilizes the service of a laundry facility for less number of clothes, then the balance will not be carried forward.

IMPORTANT NOTE
1) Residential Facilities are generally allotted for one full Academic Session (i.e. approx. 10 months excluding vacations). 2) Residential facility for lesser duration i.e. One semester or Even a Term (with vacations) may be allotted only in the following cases:

3) Dormitory room may not be offered for International Applicants.
4) Hostel residents are permitted to keep Electrical Kettles, Electrical Irons, Steamer, Laptop, mobile charger, shaving set, trimmer, hair straightener and hairdryer. Extra electricity bill due to the usage of these electrical items will be borne by the respective residents.
5) For apartment rooms with a pantry, students may also use induction plates for cooking food in addition to gadgets mentioned in Point no. 4.
6) Usage of LPG , Kerosene or other oil/gases are strictly prohibited.
7) Regarding Indoor Stadium Membership, all the consumable and game relevant sports kit has to be brought by the student themself. e.g. swimming costume, squash racket, badminton racket, pistol etc.

Yes, you can change your course at LPU after admission. Students have approximately a month to make this change after admission, or they can opt to do so after a semester. However, changing your course after the first year is not advisable as it could result in a wasted year. The new course must meet the student's eligibility requirements. To request a course change, students must fill out a specific form and pay the required fee within the university's set schedule. LPU reserves the right to approve or deny the course change. If approved, the student must pay the new course's fees and charges. If the new course's fee is less, the balance will be adjusted in the next term's fee. Note that if the course change is made after the session has started, there will be no compensation for any loss of attendance or continuous assessment.

LPU offers various scholarships and financial aid programs that can help you secure a free seat. Scholarships are given based on academic qualifications, LPUNEST scores, national level test scores, and other specific criteria. Financial aid is provided to students with low income background and also to serving/retired defence, CAPF, para-military personnel, their dependents, and orphans. LPU also offers a special scholarship that waives the full program fee for the top 20 rank holders of every recognised school board. Fee concessions are provided for defence, CAPF personnel, and their dependents. Scholarships are also awarded for high scores in national level tests like GATE, UCEED, CEED, JRF, NATA, and NEET, and for achievements in sports, cultural, R&D, co-curricular activities, social service, and bravery awards.

Yes, Lovely Professional University (LPU) offers a four-year Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) programme. LPU B.Pharm is an undergraduate course approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). The fee structure for BPharm at LPU is Rs 1,20,000 per semester. Apart from this, you need to pay Rs 4,500 per semester as examination fees. If you choose a hostel, mess or other facilities, additional fees will be charged on an annual or semester basis.  

The admission process for B Pharm at LPU includes registration, qualifying for eligibility criteria and appearing for LPU NEST. The eligibility criteria for the B.Pharm course require candidates to secure a minimum of 60% marks in Class 12 with English, physics, chemistry and biology/mathematics.
