LPU campus is regarded as one of the best campuses among private universities in India. Similarly, LPU’s infrastructure is one of the biggest and best in the world. The campus of LPU is surrounded by trees and gardens that make teaching and learning environment more comfortable. The pollution-free and healthy environment at LPU campus is other major highlights of the campus..

The LPU central library is one of the major attractions of LPU. The library has lakhs of books in various subjects, and it helps students to clarify their subject related doubts. The library also has several magazines, journals, newspapers etc so that students spend their recreation time by updating themselves with the latest happenings.

LPU has labs for all the required courses that impart practical knowledge to students. The Chemistry Laboratory and MAC Lab are the major highlights across all labs prevalent on LPU campus. Aviation Lab is the supreme lab on LPU campus that offers outstanding practical experience to the students of Airlines course.

LPU has a separate division or building for research activities. Scholars, faculty, and scientists involved in constant research activities in different areas of specialisation. The major aim of the research centre is to make valuable contributions to the country.

As far as sports facilities are concerned, the campus is bestowed by all major sports facilities. There is a separate football field, cricket ground, boxing ring, and taekwondo for interested students. Apart from these, there are separate areas for all major sports, athletics etc. The B.P.Ed/ M.P.Ed and other physical education students of LPU host several sports events/ competitions on the campus.

As LPU has students from various states and countries, cultural events play a vital role. LPU has one of the largest indoor auditoriums in the country – Shanti Devi Mittal Auditorium for various official, academic, and cultural activities. The Open Air Theatre at LPU is one of the favourite spots for students to hang out during non-academic hours. Baldev Raj Mittal auditorium is the third spot at LPU for hosting formal and informal events.

Recreation facilities at LPU are top notch. The campus has a Roller Skating Rink that is often busy during exam breaks. The Snooker Longue, In-House Bowing Complex and  Fitness Edge offer required entertainment to students so that they are relieved from exam/ academic stress.

Apart from the above, University Mall and Cafe Coffee Day are the other top recreation spots on the campus. Students can buy the required things from university mall. For banking, students need not go out of the campus, as LPU has 5 banks and 55 ATMs on its campus.

LPU has more than 300 food kiosks that cook unique varieties of food for minimal costs. African Food Cafe is one of the major highlights while there is a specific sweets store that offers all kinds of Punjabi sweets.

LPU has fully secured student residence facility. The separate hotel facility is provided to boys and girls. The hostels are offered to students on a sharing basis (two or three mostly) and single basis (as per the needs of students subject to availability). The fees for different categories of hostel facility will be different. The hostel has all the facilities such as convenience store, hospital, and in-house laundry. Students can use bicycles for an easy commute on the campus.

LPU Campus Highlights 

The University offers the largest residential capacity in world within the campus, separately for boys and girls. The university understands the expectations of students who come here from a wide variety of cultural and geographical zones and perhaps leave their homes for the first time in their lives. There are rooms ranging from Standard Rooms to Apartments and students can opt for accommodation as per their convenience and choice. Early Decision Benefit on residential charges of Rs 10000 would be given to the students, if applicant avail the residential facility on or before 30th April. The Non- AC rooms will have Air Cooler installed in each room.The hostels at LPU are basically of two types:

1. Standard Rooms: Standard Rooms at LPU hostels are arrangements like lodges where students can live in a shared 4/ 3/ 2/ 1-seater room with the option of having the room Air Cooled or Air-Conditioned Ventilation. The following amenities are provided to students of these rooms.

2. Apartments: The apartment accommodation at LPU are 1/ 2/ 3/ 4 rooms with attached washrooms. There are facilities constructed for providing luxurious accommodation. The apartment has a common kitchen area, dining and lobby area. Some other features of Apartments at LPU are given below.

Mess Fee Charges For Academic Session 2026-27

Students who avail the mess facility early will receive an Early Decision Benefit of up to INR 5,000 on mess charges.

• Mess Plan will be provided till the end of the regular academic session including regular exams or 10 months from the start of the session, whichever is earlier. Students can avail the mess plan two days prior to the start of the academic session and will be required to leave it within two days after regular exams. For availing Mess Plan after the end of academic session for any purpose like summer school/ reappear examination/ make up examination/ PEP/ EEP classes etc., additional proportionate Charges for mess and its administration will have to be paid by the student, subject to the availability and permission for mess plan.
• A customized plan (e.g. for the full calendar year) may be provided on request.
• Students have an option to avail Mess Plan from the University or may manage on their own. Mess Plan may be offered in 2 different categories i.e. Standard Mess and Ala Carte.
• Standard plan includes option of North Indian/ South Indian/ Rajasthani/ Haryanvi/ Gujarati/ Eastern/ North-Eastern Cuisines. North Indian and South Indian cuisines can be opted in the same hostel mess or at centralized locations. Regional cuisine is available at specific locations only.
• Ala Carte - Choice of Dishes plan includes the option to take any available dish from any cuisine. For example in lunch, student may pick a few dishes from the available North Indian menu and a few from the available South Indian menu and a few from some other cuisine. In dinner, students may opt differently as per his/her choice. This Mess Type will be served at selected locations that may be outside the allotted hostel.

The following enhanced services have been added for students opting for Mess Plan:

• Packed breakfast for those who have early morning classes.
• Lunch near the academic block for convenience.
• Soft food for students who are not feeling well.
• Birthday and Festival Celebration to make special day memorable.
• Festivities during various fasts.
• Surprise menus.

IMPORTANT NOTE

•  Mess Plan may be allotted for one Academic Session (i.e. approx. 10 months excluding vacations)
• Students have the flexibility to either avail the Mess Plan offered by the University or manage their meals independently. Mess Plan is desiged to cater to various preferences, offering two distinct categories: Standard Food and Ala Carte which includes a choice of North Indian, South Indian, and Regional Cuisine. North Indian and South Indian cuisines can be opted for within the same hostel mess or at centralized locations. Please note that Regional Cuisine is available at specific locations only.
• The availability of any particular Mess Facility, as mentioned above, is contingent upon the minimum number of students opting for the same.
   

LPU Non-Veg Mess Fees

The Non-Veg Mess charges, including administrative costs for different meal categories, are given in the table below:

• The Non-Veg Mess is operated by an external vendor, and payments are made directly to them.
• Students can choose from one, two, or three meal options based on their preference and budget.

Charges for IN-House Laundry for Academic session 2026-27

• Quality Laundry Services are available in the University Campus. The Laundry Services are provided through the best washing and drying machines using standard chemicals.
• The Laundry facility is optional. The Charges for Laundry and its administration is Rs. 5400 for the academic session
• Generally, the steam press system is used.
• Delivery/ collection is generally done in a bag with the proper identification number of the user at a specified place in Residential Compound.
• Each student can get *Upto 70 clothes per month of his/her own clothes (not of his friends/ associates) washed/ironed from the Laundry. If in a specific month student utilizes the service of a laundry facility for less number of clothes, then the balance will not be carried forward

Gym and sports facility charges vary for Day Scholars and Hostellers, with reduced fees available for Hostellers under EDB.

• The EDB for gym facility has been extended until 30th April 2026

Important Note:-

• Complimentary Sports Facility to be awarded to outstanding sports persons with recommendation of HD, DSW upon selection in the LPU's official sports team.
• The benefit of reduced charges should be given to all the students who had booked the facility with EDB (either the booking request is given with hostel or after booking of hostel) including those who already booked their hostel seats before
• Time slot of the opted facility will be communicated depending upon the student count and availability of services. (Gym Facility can be allocated after depositing Rs.4000)

LPU swimming pool membership is available for students, faculty, staff, alumni, and outsiders with charges varying by category and duration. The pool operates six days a week with morning slots from 6:00 AM to 8:50 AM and evening slots from 4:00 PM to 8:50 PM.

2) Coaching - Rs.700/- per month
3) Swimming pool will be open for six days a week.
4) The swimming pools are maintained by the external vendors and any kind of subsequent charges would be collected by the respective vendors only.

Uniform fee for most programmes is INR 4,000 inclusive of standard uniform items; certain programmes have higher fees due to extra uniform items.

Instructing students to express a story with dance. Students learn classical, western and regional dance forms from experts and maestros.

The music society makes university come alive every evening through there musical events and concerts. Society has many clubs where students can learn FOLK LORE, INDIAN INSTRUMENTAL & VOCAL, WESTERN INSTRUMENTAL & VOCAL.

This society caters to students who are interested in writing poetry and prose. The society conducts various workshops as well as competitions in order to groom budding authors.

University students join this society to learn conceptual, sculpture and paint arts. Their work finds its way on university walls and adds to the aesthetic beauty.
