Malik Sandal Polytechnic was the first institution to name itself after the renowned architect of the 16th Century. It is one of the oldest Institution in the historic city of Bijapur. It was established in the year 1983 with a vision to provide appropriate technical education for the students of the vicinity. It is known for imparting quality education .It has highly qualified and committed staff with adequate Infrastructure. During its tenure it has produced a good number of Diploma holders who are working in various fields in India and abroad as well. Malik Sandal Polytechnic Bijapur is recognized by The Directorate of Technical Education, Govt of Karnataka and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi. The Institute is located on a sprawling 5 acres of land in the heart of the city within 1.5km from the central bus stand and 0.5km from Ibrahimpur railway station. The institute has spacious lecture halls, well equipped laboratories, workshops and a vast playground. SECAB - Socio Economic Cultural Association Bijapur established in 1969 by Shams-uddin Punekar to provide education to the children of Bijapur, was soon accepted as a standard educational Institution by the people of the city. In 2005 SECAB under its umbrella has 22 educational Institutions, more than 5000 students and 500 teaching faculty. It has two campuses, Naubag campus measuring 11 Acres in the center of the city and Nauraspur campus measuring 16.5 Acres on Bagalkot Road south of the city. Malik Sandal Polytechnic provides placement assistance to all its students. The dedicated placement cell regularly conducts grooming sessions of the students in areas like soft skills, interview facing skills, behavioral skills hereby making them industry-fit. In the recent years the college has witnessed some well known recruitment companies walking-in and being invited for campus placements.
