M. Kumarasamy College of Engineering or MKCE is located in Thalavapalayam which is on the way to Karur and Salem. The founder of the college was M. Kumarasamy who is the correspondent and also management trustee a trust called the M. Kumarasamy Health and Education Trust, started in the year of 2001. The college gained affiliation to the Anna University in Chennai and has also gained approval by the All India Council for Technical Education in New Delhi. The college was established in the year 2000 under the M. Kumarasamy Health and Educational Trust. Since November 2011 the college has become an Autonomous Institution that is affiliated with the Anna University of Technology. The sister college of K.Ramakrishnn College of Engineering is the K.RamakrishanColllege of Technology in Tiruchchrapalli. Vision"To impart standard technical education to produce competitive and smart engineers. Overview Placement

There is a full-time placement office and communication and training offices located in the campus. It helps to bring about interaction with industrial establishments, identification of suitable areas to help the students to undertake project work, to organize -career guidance programmes, to involve student co-coordinators to be placement canvassers as they entrust them with the duty of visiting the employer industries, making outstation placement- eg: trips by TPO to many employer industries or firms or companies or organizations to fix on-campus interviews, to conduct regular aptitude tests for pre-final and final year students to be able to improve thinking power, alertness and also analytical power, to involve external trainers for soft skill development, to conduct specific pre-placement training programmes for on and off campus interviews, to maintain a close contact with employer industries by giving them the profile of the college and resumes of students, to maintain relationships with renowned placement consultants or recruiting agencies, to conduct periodical meetings with alumni and to transmit information on placement interviews through group mail ids. The cell has intensive personality development programmes and workshops to enhance learning skills. There is also communication training, presentation skills, group discussion, mock interviews, finding suitable areas for in-plant training, interactive session with experts from industries, etc.
