NIT Rourkela BTech entrance exam is JEE Main and the result for JEE Main 2024 session 2 for paper one has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on April 24, 2024. Along with the result, NTA scores have also been released. Students can use the JEE Main 2024 scorecard to register for JoSAA counselling 2024 which will start from June 10, 2024. To download the JEE Main 2024 session two paper one results students will need their application number, date of birth and security pin. It is expected that JoSAA will release the NIT Rourkela cutoff 2024 in the second week of June 2024. According to NTA, the number of common candidates registered in both sessions of JEE Main 2024 was 9,24,636 and the number of common candidates appeared in both sessions of JEE Main 2024 was 8,22,899.

Student Activity Centre (SAC):
The Student Activity Centre (SAC) is the central hub for student activities, student organizations, programming, events, sports, recreation, and fun at the NIT, Rourkela campus. The Student Activity Centre is organized into four primary societies and several clubs. Besides, every society has satellite clubs that have their management under the overall supervision of SAC. The facility is devoted to recreation and socialization to serve students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests.
Technical Society:
Technical Society is one of the most enthusiastic societies in the Student Activity Centre, NIT Rourkela, with 18 Satellite Clubs under its roof. The objective of this society is to promote and encourage technical innovation and entrepreneurial qualities among students by organizing various modeling workshops, Technical Seminars, Training Courses, and many more. These are the subject areas where the satellite clubs of technological society are currently involved: Astrophysics, Automobile, Aerospace, Robotics, Fluid Dynamics, Software, Infrastructure, Mathematics, Business Management, and Entrepreneurship. The technological society also hosts a National Level Techno-Management festival annually that attracts participation from various organizations and institutions of our country.
Games and Sports Society:
The Institute has many excellent fitness facilities and playgrounds with an attractive stadium for Athletics, Basketball, Badminton, Cricket, Cross Country, Handball, Hockey, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Football, Netball, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Volleyball, and a fully-equipped fitness center. National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, has indoor games facilities inside the hostel premises. Games and Sports Society organizes coaching sessions for the distinguished sports and games to help students excel in their respective sports disciplines. It also extends excellent opportunities to participate at All India Inter-NIT/University/All India Inter-University/National levels.
Film and Music Society:
Recreation plays a vital role in refreshing tired minds and stimulating enthusiasm. The Film and Music Society takes care of that aspect. Its work includes inviting professionals/actors of various music and dance genres to provide training for NIT, and Rourkela Students, Regular Film screenings at the Bhubaneswar Behera Auditorium for students and staff, and organizing annual music night, annual photography competition, and acting celebrities. at night during a cultural festival, they also run a weekly film festival once a year and facilitate student practice sessions. Underneath their visions are various music bands and dance clubs that offer unique opportunities for future developers to try something new and entertain others. It creates a multicultural space by developing music, dance, and drama.
Literary and Cultural Society:
The Literary and Cultural society overlooks the literary, drama, and cultural activities. It also arranges debates, quizzes, prizes, and other competitions, both Inter-NIT and Intra NIT. It also organizes the “NITRUTSAV” each year in February. The Film and Music Society also conducts music competitions and organizes Celebrity Night annually, wherein many great musicians give enthralling performances. Several films from India and abroad are played at a weeklong film festival.
SPIC MACAY:
SPIC MACAY organizes thousands of programs annually to enlighten the youth candidates and enlighten them about the elegance and delicacy of Indian culture. SPIC MACAY makes a highly conscious effort to influence their lives by making NIT Rourkela imbibe the simplicity, grace, and beauty of our culture and heritage, leading a meaningful and enhanced life.
Overall: Experience of mine in this college was good.I've got some good friends some well.Qualified teachers who motivated us and helped us in each and every step
Placement: If I talk about placement facility given by this institute.I can say that it is very average.Not all the student got placed , only thirty to forty percent of the student got placed every year , which is very bad
Infrastructure: If I talk about infrastructure of our institute I can say that buildings were creatively made.It was restricted for outsiders to enter into the institute and yes playing area and libraries and cultural activities area over there
Faculty: Best part of this institute is that faculties who are working here are really well qualified.Well knowledgeable and headstudents and motivate students eating each and every step of their college life
Hostel: Best part of hostel is that Clealiness This is maintained by staff.Staff is really good food.Served here was of nice quality.It was restricted to outsiders to enter into the hostel area
Overall: If we see the college overally it is good in every aspect. Nirf ranking, infrastructure, faculty, coding culture all good. College campus is too big. College have special branch for student counseling called Institute counseling services, it has around 70 clubs including technical, cultural, sports, literature.
Placement: A engineering get famous by their placement stats. Our college last year in 2022 recorded 1500 placement offers from different company across India and foreign. Average package is 10 lakhs for all branch. Highest package takes cse departments.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise it is better than many premiere engineering college.separate building for all department except civil engineering department. All departments have their own lab. If we talk about sports infrastructure it has 2 big stadium one for cricket sachin tendulkar stdium, one for football dilip turkey stadium. And many more small grounds for others sports like handball, kho kho, kabadi, volleyball. It has two sports Complex one names P T USHA sports Complex and one under construction. One Olympic level swimming pool. One separate modern building to encourage entrepreneurship.
Faculty: This college consist of around 200 faculty belongs to different departments. Some faculties are good some are not that good. By academically all are good.
Hostel: It has 3 girls hostel,and 8 boys hostel. The biggest hostel is vikram hall of residences. It includes 1024 rooms. Every hostel has their own sports infrastructure, own garden, own mess. Every hostel has their Hall management body elected by boarders. Main important point regarding hostel is security all hostels are super secured especially girls hostel.
Overall: Offering a diverse range of courseswith a focus on research and innovation.Infrastructure is impressive providing modern facilities to students.Faculty expertise and industry collaboration enhance the learning experience.There is huge number of students which leads to crowdy classrooms and limited personalised attention.
Placement: Industry eaders for on-campus recruitment.Placement assistance and training contributes to students readiness. There is an intense competition whic may cause stress.Some departments may face challenges for placing all the students
Infrastructure: Featuring state-of-the-art laboratories, well equiped classrooms and modern hostels. The campus is vast, offering a serene and conductive environment.Library provides ample amount of resources for research and study. There are occassional maintenance issue in classrooms and hostel rooms, wifi connectivity can be inconsistence which affects the course work
Faculty: It is renowned for expertise and research, creates a student friendly environment with valuable mentorship and industry collaboration Communication issues with a few faculty due to language barriers.High student to teachers ratio can affect the attentiveness to each of them.

Overall: Nit Rourkela has very good infrastructure and placement statistics it lacks only in attendance policy is very strict.it demands 85% attendance which turns back many students taking this college
Placement: Placement here is best.top 5 branches have 97-98% placement with good packages. It is top nit so placement is also top here.cse has average placement of 20 lpa here.
Infrastructure: Campus consist of 1200 acre land with well organised buildings.campus is green and very attractive .it has a 100 cr building called golden jubilee.it is best nit when it comes to infrastructure
Faculty: All faculty are very good.all have studied from very reputed colleges and know how to teach students.faculty here are very helpful in nature and have very good knowledge of subjects
Hostel: Nit Rourkela has 12 hostel.8 for boys 2 for girls and 2 for married scholars. hostel facility is good.mess has best menu for students coming from north.
Overall: So first thing is this is one of the top college of india it can be compared with the middle iits you can consider this is a tier 1 college but their is some politocs in clubs
Placement: Placement is rapidly increasing year by year although their is descent in core branch but circutal branch people are firing in terms of placement average of cse in 24 lakhs and college average is 12 lakhs
Infrastructure: So this is the biggest nit of india and 2nd most largest engineering college of india so if you have a big place you can do anything here so they maintaied the campus in verywell
Faculty: So here u have to study by your own erespective of who is the teacher its happened in every college but not all are bad many are also good but lab assistant are little bit rode
Hostel: Although it has biggest hostel but its room are comparable small size its look like single room but they fitted 2 person in one room you can get single room only in final year and the food is descent
