IIT JAM 2026 Round 1 seat allotment has been released. Candidates can check their allotted seats on the official JOAPS portal at joaps.iitb.ac.in. The last date for payment of the seat acceptance fee is May 30, 2026. Candidates must complete the required admission choices, including Accept & Freeze, Accept with Upgrade, or Reject and Quit, within the specified deadline.
NATA 2026 Result has been released. Candidates who appeared for the examinations conducted till May 9, 2026, can now check and download their scorecards from the official website at nata.in using their application number and password.
CCMN 2026 Counselling registration and choice filling process has started for MSc/MSc (Tech) admissions. The last date to complete registration is June 5, 2026, while fee payment and choice locking will remain open until June 8, 2026. Candidates can register and fill their choices online at ccmn.admissions.nic.in. The Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on June 12, 2026.

Overall It was very tough decision for me to move to such a long-distance college. But it was a great experience here. This college taught me to face real-life problems and if you are an extrovert kind of person you will surely enjoy it here in Kerala there are different spots where you can explore and go on adventure trips with friends. That thing is an important thing you should do. but if you are a purely vegetarian kind of person then you may be struggling because here veg food even in restaurants not as good as north Indian food. With your score of 10720 in NIMCET, it seems difficult for you to get admission in any of the NITs. The top NITs like Trichy, Surathkal, Warangal, Allahabad usually close admissions for the General category within the top 50-300 ranks. Even for reserved categories, the ranks typically do not extend into five digits.
For other participating NITs like Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Patna, Raipur, Agartala generally remain within the top 1000-2000 for the General/OBC-NCL categories. For SC/ST categories, some may go up to 4000-8000, but 10720 is still a very difficult rank to get into any of the participating NITs.
Unfortunately, with an All India Rank of 10720, your chances of getting admission into any of the NIMCET participating NITs (National Institutes of Technology) is highly unlikely for the MCA programme. Based on previous years' cut-off trends, it will be difficulut for you to get a seat even if you belong to the reserved categories basis last year's trend. The competition is extremely high for these limited seats (around 800-1000 seats across all NITs).
You can try for other universities like AKTU, GGSIPU, HBTU, UoH and state government aided universities. You might need to appear for state exams like MAH MCA CET for Maharashtra, OJEE for Odisha, PGCET for Karnataka, etc. for admission to state universities.
With an an OBC rank of 803 in the NIMCET 2025 exam, you have a good chance of getting admission into several NITs such as NIT Raipur, NIT Krukshetra and NIT Jamshedpur.
JoSAA eligibility requires 2025 requires a passing grade in all the subjects in your Class 12 (or equivalent) examination. While the 75% (or 65%) criterion is important for the general/reserved category eligibility, it's also important that you pass all the subjects in your Class 12.
