NIT Delhi - Admission 2024, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

NIT Delhi has invited applications for admission in B.Tech and M.Tech courses. The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 exam on February 12, 2024. JEE Main 2024 is conducted in 2 sessions. The registration dates for JEE Main 2024 Session 2 have started and will continue till March 2, 2024. For NIT Delhi M.Tech admission 2024, the GATE exam will be conducted on February 3, 4, 10, and, 11, 2024. 

NIT Delhi NIRF Ranking 2023 has been released officially. As per the NIRF ranking list 2023, NIT Delhi has received a rank of 51 in the overall category. The institute has made a big step this year as in 2022, the institute was not under the top 100 NIT NIRF ranking list. The NIT Delhi Engineering NIRF ranking is also 51 where the institute got 51.41 scores. The bifurcation of scores includes 68.47 marks in TLR, 29.84 marks in RPC, 63.59 scores in GO and 19.60 marks in perception. 

NIT Delhi placement is among the top NITs. The placement report for 2023 is yet to be released. However, as per the previous statistics, a student from the B.Tech CSE branch was offered the highest package of Rs 55 lakh per annum. During the previous year's placement drive, the average package offered was Rs 10.54 lakh per annum and the placement percentage was approximately 89%. Along with the full-time jobs, students were offered internship opportunities in some top MNCs around the globe. 

NIT Delhi B.Tech courses have an intake of 60 students per course. 50% of the admissions are done on the basis of entrance exams and 50% of seats are reserved for aspirants from Delhi and Chandigarh. The total number of NIT Delhi courses is 14, spread across different streams. The popular courses offered are BTech, MTech, and, PhD. 

Established in the year 2010, the National Institute of Technology Delhi stands strong among the 31 NITs. The institute has been set by the Parliamentary Act and has been appreciated for being the University of national importance. The institute is spread over 13 acres of land. 

The NIT Delhi course admissions are offered at the UG, PG and PhD levels. Admissions to the courses are granted on the basis of the score secured in the national-level exams. NIT Delhi NIRF ranking 2023 is now available. The institute has secured the 51st position as per the overall ranking and the NIT Delhi Engineering NIRF ranking list. The institute was not named under the NIRF ranking list in the previous year. It has been said to be an institute of national importance. NIT Delhi admission to BTech course is done through JEE Main 2024. JEE Main Session 1 exam is over and the results will be out on February 12, 2024. The registration for JEE Main Session 2 has started and will continue till March 2, 2024. The exam will be held between April 4, 2024 - April 15, 2024. NIT Delhi admission is made in B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programs. The candidates mostly opt for NIT Delhi B.Tech course, a 3 year course which offers 3 specialisations. NIT B.Tech cutoff for Computer Science and Engineering ranges between 634 to 7129 (released by JoSSA). NIT Delhi B.Tech fees is Rs 1,64,250 per year. Candidates who wish to apply for NIT Delhi PhD admission 2023 or other courses need to have a valid JEE Main score and may follow the steps given below for the application :

• Visit the official website of NIT Delhi
• Register for the NIT Delhi application form 
• The system generated application number needs to be noted
• Create a password 
• Log in with the application number and the password created
• Fill out the NIT Delhi application form 
• Upload the scanned copies of the documents required
• Pay the application fee of Rs 650 (For reserved categories: Rs 395) through debit card, credit card, net banking, UPI or Paytm. 
• Submit the application 
• Take a print out of the application for the further process of NIT Delhi admission. 

The NIT Delhi B.Tech cutoff for round 6 has been released by JoSAA on July 28, 2023. The cutoff is released in the form of Opening Ranks and Closing Ranks for various categories. Students who are aspiring for BTech admission to the institute must meet the NIT Delhi cutoff, JEE Mains. The cutoff is released along with the Seat Allotment results in multiple rounds. • Computer Centre : NIT Delhi Computer was established in the year 2014, with the aim to provide assistance to  the students for computational requirements. The computer centre at the institute manages the  Wi-Fi facilities provided to the students for their effective research work. The centre provides technical assistance when needed. The centre takes care of Integrated Institute Management System on SaaS, computer facilities for the institute administration, providing eduroam facility to the various users.
• Library : NIT Delhi Central Library has an enormous collection of books on science and technology which includes Mathematics, Economics, Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, etc. Study materials are available in both written and digital formats. 
• Sports Facility : The institute has provision for both indoor sports and outdoor sports facilities. The outdoor sports facilities  include kabaddi court, volleyball court, badminton court, cement pitch with net for  cricket and Basketball court. The indoor sport facilities include table tennis, carrom, chess and indoor gym in boys hostel. NIT Delhi promotes sports for the physical and mental well-being of the inmates.
• Canteen : The canteen has the latest kitchen appliances with the facility of water coolers. The NIT Delhi canteen  also has provisions for curtains and  their furniture are of stainless steel. The  institute takes care of hygiene with the use of insect killers.
• Guest House : The guest house facility can be availed by filling up a form for booking which needs to be signed by the Chairman of the Guest House Committee.
