On the basis of NMAT entrance exam scorecards, NMIMS provides a two-year M.B.A. program. Candidates must have a score of 208 or above on the NMAT entrance exam in order to be admitted to M.B.A. programs. NMIMS provides a certification program based on the results of the CAT and XAT admission exams. NMIMS accepts CAT results from various IIMS as well as XAT results from XLRI Jamshedpur. For admission to the PGCM program, candidates must have an 86 percentile on the CAT entrance exam or the XAT entrance exam.

Every year, the UG Entrance Examination is held by Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies for class 12 passed / appearing applicants to be eligible for their UG programmes across NMIMS campuses. The entrance exam is a computer-based online exam except for B. des, is conducted at test centres. There are five tests administered for various UG courses.

This Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai campus is cutting-edge, with cutting-edge technology. From the 2014-15 school year onwards, this new campus has been active. The latest learning technology tools are available on this 3,50,000 square foot campus, which strives to improve students' learning experiences. All of the classrooms are semicircular in shape, allowing for lots of interaction between instructors and students as well as class debates.

On 13 January 2003, the Central Government of India declared Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai as Deemed-to-be-University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956.
