NMIMS Mumbai has invited applications for phase 2 admission in PhD programmes. Full-time students will be offered fellowships. Along with that, eligible candidates can avail scholarships upto Rs 2,00,000 per annum. The programme is available in nine streams. The NMIMS Mumbai application process is ongoing and the last date to apply is June 23, 2024.

SVKM’s NMIMS Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management (PDSE&FBM) launches its new academic course, BBA in Finance. This course aims to teach students finance in the context of major changes due to new technologies, regulations, market dynamics, and economic trends. This new course follows the New Education Policy 2020 guidelines. BBA in Finance is a four-year programme with 175 credits. The curriculum includes 61 courses, a summer internship, and a research project or dissertation. Students will learn about topics like financial management, investment analysis, corporate finance, financial modelling, and financial markets. For admission to BBA in Finance, students must have passed class 12 with 50% or more marks in Maths/Statistics. Selection is based on merit and interview performance. NPAT scores will also be considered.

NMIMS Mumbai News: Students from the School of Technology Management and Engineering (STME) at NMIMS Mumbai demonstrated their inventiveness and technological progress and won prizes at the Smart India Hackathon 23. Second-year computer engineering students, Mahek Mushrif and Hittanshu Upadyay, were placed third in the M-Indicator Hackathon 2024, which took place in January 2024. Both working professionals and students could participate in the hackathon. Mahek and Hittanshu took part in the competition's Android Hackathon phase. Participants were to create a functional prototype of an Android application for the transportation industry in the course of the 24-hour competition. Earlier in December 2023, team "Narcotech" advanced to the Grand Finale of the Smart India Hackathon 2023.

NMIMS SBM Mumbai registration for MBA in Business Analytics has commenced on its official website. The MBA BA program at NMIMS SBM Mumbai is a two-year, full-time programme that is renowned for its comprehensive curriculum and industry-oriented approach. NMIMS SBM’s MBA BA programme ranked 10th by Analytics India Magazine among India's top 20 best data science courses. In the NMIMS SBM Mumbai final placements 2023, the highest on-campus salary stood at Rs 26.13 LPA by Jio Platforms, whereas the NMIMS SBM average salary was Rs 17.85 LPA. More than 500 companies participated, including an international offer from the Netherlands-based One2Ten.

SVKM's NMIMS Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management, SBM's Initiative, hosted its Convocation 2023 on July 10, 2023, celebrating the graduation of students from MBA E&FB, MBA Entrepreneurship, and BBA E&FB programmes. The event was attended by 82 students from MBA E&FB, 8 from MBA Entrepreneurship, and 40 from BBA E&FB programs. The ceremony was led by Council Members and students, accompanied by a ‘Police Band’. Ltd., was the esteemed Chief Guest at the event, inspiring a new generation of entrepreneurs ready to contribute to India's growth at NMIMS Mumbai.

SKVM’s NMIMS Mumbai, a deeded-to-be-university in Mumbai, closed the online registration process for its UG entrance exams NPAT, NCET, and NLAT on May 21, 2023. However, the exam scheduling window will remain open till May 23, 2023. Every year, the university conducts these exams for admission to its various UG programmes across various cities in India. This year, the exams are being conducted across 23 Indian states and multiple Indian cities. 

NPAT, NCET, and NLAT exams are essential for the NMIMS Mumbai UG admission process 2023. NMIMS PAT is the entrance exam for admission to various UG commerce/ economics / liberal arts/ branding/ international studies/ management courses available under the various schools at NMIMS Mumbai, while NCET is acceptable for UG engineering and pharmacy courses at the university. On the other hand, NLAT is the law entrance exam for NMIMS Mumbai. All these entrance test scores are accepted across all the NMIMS Mumbai campuses.

Students of NMIMS STME Indore have recently showcased their excellence by winning at the IIT Kanpur Techkriti Fest 2023. Multiple teams from NMIMS STME Indore participated in the final round and achieved success with their innovative ideas and exceptional skills in various competitions.

Team Technophiles bagged the 6th position with their innovative take on Sea Exploration, significantly reducing the cost of traditional exploration machines by 87% through the use of buoyancy control via the chemical reaction of Sodium Azide and Potassium Nitrate. On the other hand, Team TechGuys ended up 4th in the IACR Competition with their robot designed for Line Following. In addition, Team Robotech got to present before the judges their innovative fighting robot with a 12-inch cutter made from a high-strength steel alloy and powered by an ESP8266 module for wireless communication.

NMIMS STME Indore, a constituent unit of SVKM’s NMIMS Mumbai, offers a wide range of advanced programmes in robotics, automation, artificial intelligence, and other emerging fields. The institute also encourages students to participate in national and international competitions, making them hone their skills and gain hands-on experience.

The School of Business Management at NMIMS Mumbai has released the placement report 2023 for MBA Core and MBA HR on its official website. Earlier, the school announced the successful completion of its final placement process for MBA Core and MBA HR for the current year. As per the report, the SBM has achieved new heights in terms of placements this year with over 175 recruiters participating in the NMIMS Mumbai placement process 2023. 

A total of 148 new and loyal recruiters participated in the placements to recruit the MBA Core students while the total number of recruiters for MBA Core was 51. MBA Core students witnessed the highest package of Rs 67.80 lakh per annum. On the other hand, the highest package for MBA stood at Rs 25.95 lakh per annum. The average package offered was Rs Rs 26.63 lakh per annum and Rs 19.56 lakh per annum for MBA Core and MBA HR, respectively. Moreover, one-third of the MBA Core and MBA HR batches were placed through PPOs.

The SBM has also published the summer placement report for this year along with the final placement report. The highest stipend offered to the MBA Core students was Rs 4 lakh, whereas MBA HR students were offered the highest stipend of Rs 3 lakh. Some of the major recruiters who visited the campus during this placement season were Aditya Birla Capital, American Express, Adani, Barclays, Bosch, Parimal, Goldman Sachs, and many others.

Students from the NMIMS School of Design have left their mark on the world of design by winning several prestigious awards and competitions. NMIMS Mumbai’s B.Des Humanising Technology students from batches 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 bagged multiple awards in various design categories. These categories include game design, waste disposal intervention, teaching regional languages using non-linguistic cues, and many others.

Ms. Nikita Bhatnagar and Ms. Akshata Chitnis won the D’Source-DIC, BHU SDGs Design Challenge (DDSDC) conducted by IDC School of Design, IIT Bombay. On the other hand, Ms. Niharika Trikha presented a project titled Vikram-Betal Pachisi and also bagged the Drona Design Award 2022- Distinguished Design Award in Game Design (UX). Last year, Mr. Priyansh Singara became the 2nd runner-up at Hero CoLabs App Challenge 2.0 organised by Hero MotoCorp Limited.

Neha Joglekar, a third-year student at NMIMS Mumbai, received the Best Intern Award from her NGO Idea Foundation. Ms. Aslesha Ram Gunjal participated in the Fiesta Art International Online Art Competition and Exhibition 2022 organised by the Bindaas Artist Group. Further, Ms. Kashish Parmar and Ms. Sakshi Shirsekar, two fourth-year students, participated in CII Young Designers Awards 2022 and became the winners in the Product Design category for their project titled Chew and Chom.

All these students were guided and mentored by Dr. Arundhati Guha Thakurta, Prof. Siddhesh Shirsekar, and Prof. Manisha Phadke, distinguished faculty members at NMIMS School of Design.

SVKM’s Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Deemed-to-be University, popularly known as NMIMS Mumbai, signed an MoU with the University of Adelaide on March 24, 2023.  This MoU between two globally knowledgeable institutions was signed to develop and nurture a framework for collaboration to benefit their research and teaching efforts. It is further aimed to internationalise both institutions. The occasion was marked by one-on-one meetings over tea and discussions over academic collaborations in the short, medium, and long terms.

As per the MoU, it will facilitate processes such as the exchange of students and academic staff along with the exchange of publications, academic materials and other information between NMIMS Mumbai and the University of Adelaide. Furthermore, it will enable both institutions to offer collaborative degree programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. In addition, activities such as participation in PhD and Masters by Research programmes by faculty/ staff members of either university, joint quality assurance and benchmarking, and other projects for mutual benefit will now be materialised under this MoU.

SVKM's NMIMS School of Business Management has been re-accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) for the second time in a row. With this, the SBM at NMIMS Mumbai has become the only institution in Western India to receive this accreditation for two consecutive times. The prestigious ‘Women Achiever Award’ for 2023 has been given to Prof. Seema Mahajan, Director of SVKM's Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management, by Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Airport, one of the largest women's volunteer organisations in Inner Wheel Dist. 314. With a focus on literacy, medical care, women's empowerment, children with special needs, and senior citizen support, the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay Airport works to provide community and social services in rural and urban India.

Upon receiving the Women Achiever Award for 2023, Prof. Seema Mahajan, Director, Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management, NMIMS Mumbai expressed her gratitude and displayed commitment towards her work in the education sector.

NMIMS Mumbai hosted a senior leadership delegation from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) on February 13 - 14, 2023. The aim of the event was to bring together academic experts to discuss and promote curriculum development, collaborative applied research, placements and internships for students.

The universities shared their vision on research and also presented researches conducted by them. They presented their shared goals, objectives, and priorities regarding research while exploring new research frontiers. The delegation of Virginia Tech consisted of Dr. Cyril Clark, Executive Vice President and Provost, Dr. Daniel Sui, Senior Vice President for Research and Innovation, Dr. Guru Ghosh, Vice President of Outreach and International Affairs and other senior academics and scholars.

The notable members representing NMIMS Mumbai was Shri. Amit Sheth, Hon. Secretary, Managing Committee of SVKM. NMIMS Mumbai courses list consists of collaborative (Virginia Tech) courses such as NMIMS MPSTME 3+1+1 coordinated programme. 

SVKM’s NMIMS, Sarla Anil Modi School of Economics, introduces a new dual degree programme in collaboration with Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). This programme offers a Master of Science (Economics) of two years, with one year at NMIMS and the next year at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, USA.

This dual degree programme provides students with a comprehensive understanding of various fields of economics. The curriculum focuses on experiential and skill-based learning designed. Students will also have the opportunity to pursue a PhD at Virginia Tech or other institutions in the US and elsewhere. 

After completing the dual degree programme, students will receive an M.Sc in Economics degree from NMIMS and an MA in Economics from Virginia Tech. The students will be selected based on an admission test and personal interview conducted by NMIMS Mumbai & VT. At NMIMS, students are required to complete all first-year courses in both semesters with a minimum grade point average (CGPA) of 3.0 out of a possible 4.0.

PDSE Symposium 2023 was organised at SVKM's NMIMS Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management (PDSE) on February 9, 2023 with an emphasis on the role of entrepreneurs in India and the challenges they encounter. The symposium was in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's goal for an "inclusive, ambitious, action-oriented, and decisive" agenda as India takes on the presidency of the G20 Nations in September 2022.

The symposium featured keynote speeches by senior academicians from premium B Schools, CII YI senior members, Industry experts and practising entrepreneurs. The PDSE Symposium provided a valuable platform for networking between business leaders, top academics from prestigious universities, and entrepreneurs at NMIMS Mumbai.

The Pravin Dalal School of Entrepreneurship & Family Business Management (PDSE) at SVKM's NMIMS Mumbai recently hosted the PDSE Symposium 2023 on January 28, 2023, which was centred around the role of entrepreneurs in India and the difficulties they face. The symposium was in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call for an inclusive, ambitious, action-oriented, and decisive agenda as India prepared to assume the G20 Nations presidency in September 2022. In order to help India achieve its goal of leading the G20, NMIMS PDSE, an institution that has long championed the growth of Indian business and education, plans to use its human resource of 900+ entrepreneurs.

The NMIMS Mumbai PDSE Symposium 2023 included keynote addresses from senior academicians from top B Schools, CII YI senior members, industry experts, and working entrepreneurs, including Dr Rahul Mirchandani, a B20 Steering Committee Member and an alumnus of the institute, who spoke about the function of Young India (YI) in the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance and the significance of developing a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The eighth conference of the Indian Academy of Management (INDAM), which was hosted by the NMIMS School of Business Management from January 6 to 8, 2023, was a rousing success, is thrilled to announce Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai. At the INDAM 2023 conference at SBM-NMIMS Mumbai, 300 researchers in business management and related fields, including academic leaders and industry experts, gathered together on campus.

Vice-Chancellor of SVKM's NMIMS Deemed-to-be University Mumbai, Prof. Ramesh Bhat, opened the conference with a welcome speech. A patent for OCUSERT, a brand-new ocular formulation for the treatment of glaucoma, has been granted to Dr Bala Prabhakar, Dean of the Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies Mumbai, Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy & Technology Management (SPPSPTM), along with other inventors according to a press release from the institute.

Dr Bala Prabhakar, Dean of NMIMS Mumbai, Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy & Technology Management states that "OCUSERT has the potential to revolutionize the treatment of glaucoma. The sustained release capabilities of this formulation will significantly improve patient compliance and offer a more effective treatment option for a disease that affects millions of people worldwide".

SVKM’s NMIMS Mumbai recently organised a three-day Executive Leadership Programme for school leaders from January 12 - 14, 2023. This unique programme aimed to re-engineer future leadership, emphasise impactful communication, create value through futuristic learning technologies, build STEM competencies, and support differently-abled children.

The three-day programme was graced by education experts such as Dr. Ramesh Bhat, Vice Chancellor, SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University, and Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, Pro-Vice Chancellor, SVKM’s NMIMS Deemed-to-be University. They discussed the importance of the KASH (Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, Habits) framework and emphasised on the creation of self-driven learners.

Ms. Shachi Narula conducted hands-on sessions to explore interactive, experiential, and virtual learning tools. The principal of CNM School, Ms. Kavita Sanghvi, discussed the STEM framework and the science competencies as per PISA. Moreover, the future leaders were helped to effectuate impactful communication by Mr. Kartik Vyas, Corporate Trainer.

The NMIMS Navi Mumbai campus recently organised the third edition of the popular music festival - Requiem 3.0 - on January 12 - January 14, 2023. The event was sponsored by TradeBook. It was a three-day event with an aim to celebrate music and its power that brings people together. The mega event featured a variety of music competitions, including Bollywood Solo, Classical Solo, Western Solo, Underground Rap, and Power of Instruments. The event received the participation of more than 500 students from 29 colleges across the country.

The inauguration ceremony of the event included a grand banner drop and a Pooja. The event also featured a star-studded night with well-known musicians in the industry, a guest artist concert, and a DJ night across the three days. On Star Night, Jannat and Crook fame Bollywood playback singer Nikhil D’Souza performed along with upcoming artists Vaani Bhasin and Anish Chhabra. This particular event was hosted by GD Sayal, an accomplished performer and a seasoned host.

Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies celebrated its 20th University Day on January 17, 2023, marking a significant milestone. Mr Kamlesh Rao, MD and CEO of Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance (ABSLI) and a proud member of the 1995 batch, served as the event's chief guest at the Mukesh Patel Auditorium on January 13, 2023.

In order to meet the nation's rising demand for management education, NMIMS Mumbaistarted out as a business school in 1981. The NMIMS School of Law has begun the online registration process for the NMIMS Law Aptitude Test (LAT) for the academic year 2023–2024. Before May 21, 2023, eligible and interested students can register at the official website, law.nmims.edu. The NMIMS MumbaiLaw Aptitude Test 2023 scheduling window for candidates is from January 4 to May 31, 2023. The scheduling window for the exam will be open to candidates until May 23, 2023. 

Candidates making their first attempt must pay a registration fee of Rs 2000. The eligibility requirement for candidates is a minimum cumulative score of 50% on Class 12 or equivalent exams. The NMIMS Mumbai merit list will be created based on the candidate's performance on the NMIMS-LAT exam. The Kirit P. Mehta School of Law (KPMSOL), Mumbai, and the Schools of Law (SOL), Navi Mumbai, Hyderabad, Indore, Bengaluru, Dhule, and Chandigarh all hold the NMIMS-LAT admission test for NMIMS admissions.

NMIMS School of Hospitality Management (SoHM) is offering a BBA program in Hospitality Operations & Management, to meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals in this field, due to India's thriving hospitality industry and the numerous job opportunities contributing to the country's GDP. The NMIMS School of Hospitality Management (SoHM) was recognised by ‘The Knowledge Review’ as one of the top institutions for hospitality management education in 2022.

The admissions for the NMIMS School of Hospitality Management's three-year BBA programme in Hospitality Operations & Management have begun. Based on merit, aptitude, and language proficiency, students will be admitted after taking an entrance exam and going through a personal interview. Candidates with a diploma in engineering must have a minimum of a 50% overall score to be considered. Students can register at https://shm.nmims.edu. Candidates who are selected must pass both an online test and an in-person interview. A 50-point, one-hour exam will serve as the admissions test for the NMIMS BBA in Hospitality Operations and Management programme. Based on their performance in the entrance exam and the personal interview, students will be chosen.

NMIMS Mumbai has opened registration for NMIMS LAT 2023. NMIMS Law Aptitude Test 2023 is mandatory for taking admissions to BA.LLB and BBA. LLB programmes at Kirti P. Mehta School of Law at NMIMS Mumbai campus and other NMIMS School of Law at other campuses as well. the institution is duly recognised by the Bar Council of India (BCI). 

Students who have passed class 12 or equivalent exam with 50% aggregate marks are eligible to apply. They may visit the‘nmimslat.in’ for registration that have commenced from December 21, 2022 and will be open till May 21, 2023. NMIMS entrance exam dates may be scheduled till May 23, 2023 from a window of January 4, 2023 till May 31, 2023. Students will be selected on the basis of NMIMS LAT 2023 results and performance in previous class. Thereafter, a merit list will be prepared which will be published on the website. 

SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Sciences Mumbai, Deemed-to-be University is an internationally renowned institution that offers undergraduate degrees in B. Tech (4 years), integrated B. Tech + MBA Tech (5 years), and B. Pharm + MBA (Pharma. Tech.), across its campuses at Mumbai, Shirpur, & Hyderabad. The selection into these programmes will be based on NMIMS-CET 2023  held by the constituent schools of the NMIMS University. NMIMS CET 2023 registration window is Dec 21, 2023 till May 21, 2023. 

NMIMS Mumbai Admission to B. Tech & MBA Tech (B Tech + MBA Tech) requires English as compulsory subject with science or vocational science, minimum 45% marks in physics, mathematics, chemistry / vocational subject for all campuses.  Candidates passing Diploma Engineering with minimum 45% are eligible to apply as well. Whereas, admission to B. Pharm + MBA (Pharma Tech) requires 45% marks in PCB or PCM in Class 12 or equivalent examination. National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) candidates are not eligible for B. Pharm + MBA (Pharma Tech) programme.

The National Institutional Ranking Framework NIRF 2022 has honored Shobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy Technology Management of SVKMs NMIMS with 11th Rank in a countrywide survey of the nations best pharmacy colleges. MPSTME ranked 5th as ‘Top Emerging Colleges’ among those set up after 2000 by India Today MDRA Survey 2022.

The Department of Psychology at SVKM’s NMIMS Sunandan Divatia School of Science (SDSOS) organised a one-day multi-therapeutic event to improve mental health at the NMIMS Mumbai campus on the occasion of World Mental Health Day on October 10.

The chief guests on this occasion were Dr. Meena Chintamaneni, Pro-Vice Chancellor, NMIMS, Dr. Purvi Bhatt, HOD, Biological Sciences, and RJ Yamini Sharma, from 93.5 Red FM, Bajate Raho! along with the core faculties of SDSOS at NMIMS Mumbai.

The main attraction of the programme was a number of diverse stalls providing delectable dishes to deft DIYs to help alleviate stress. These stalls were designed based on research, keeping in mind how each item can contribute to an individual’s well-being. Students improved their mood with motivational and positive content written on a board. A stall for face painting was also put up for the students. A Nukkad Naatak was also presented to spread awareness about ‘Peer Pressure’. 

On December 23,  2022, on the occasion of National Farmer’s Day, the NMIMS School of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SAST) organised a Scientist-Farmer Interface at Balde village, Shirpur, Taluka, Dhule district, Maharashtra. Jitendra Kuwar (Former ZP Member & former Sarpanch), Nimba Dada Patil (Deputy Sarpanch), Cooperative Society Chairman, and Vitthal Patil (Police Patil) graced the event with their presence. Faculty members of NMIMS SAST,  Dr. Krishna Chaitanya, Dr. K.V. Patil, Dr. Mohammad Faisal, Dr Nitin Misal; RAWE students of SAST; and several Farmers participated in the event.

At the event, Dr. K. V. Patil, (RAWE Co-ordinator) explained the significance of National Farmers' Day and the role of the farming community in addressing the food and nutritional security of the country and contributing to the nation’s economy. Further, Dr. Mohammed Faisal (Plant Pathologist) demonstrated different Mushroom species, seed (spawn), and packing for cultivation.

Dr. Nitin Misal (Soil Scientist) explained the importance of soil health and damage to soil health due to irrational fertiliser applications and irrigation water management practices. Later on, an interactive session was held by Dr. K.V. Patil and RAWE students, where the farmers expressed their general issues and needs.

Mumbai, December 27, 2022: The School of Performing Arts at NMIMS Mumbai announces the commencement of admissions for the academic year 2023 for its BA in Music (Indian Music- Vocal/Sitar) and BA in Music (Western Contemporary Music - Vocals | Piano | Guitar | Drums) programmes. However, NMIMS Mumbai MBA admissions for session 2023 for various courses have started. the last date to apply for NMIMS Mumbai MBA through NMAT was 15 December 2022. 

NMIMS Mumbai admissions 2023 have opened for various streams such as engineering, law, medical, commerce, economics, liberal arts, branding and advertising, entrepreneurship, international studies, and family business. Students can take admission to NMIMS Mumbai courses through NMIMS-CET, NMIMS-NPAT, NMIMS-NMAT, NMIMS-LAT. Registration for these entrance exams have started from 1 December 2023. 

NMIMS Mumbai is a deemed to be a university that offers 100+ courses through its 17 specialised schools. NMIMS CET is conducted for B.Tech, MBA-Tech, B.Pharma+MBA. For taking admission to NMIMS Mumbai BBA, B.Sc, B.com, BBMM etc., students are required to take NMIMS- NPAT 2023. NMIMS Mumbai eligibility criteria for UG courses varies from courses to course. Generally, the candidate must have passed class 12 with 45%-60% aggregate marks from recognised board.

Admissions to NMIMS Mumbai PG courses will be open soon. The institution accepts GATE, SAT and ACT scores for NMIMS Mumbai M.Tech. The university conducts admission test for post graduate programmes and also accepts valid JRF, UGC NET, UGC CSIR, SLET, and GATE scores.  

NMIMS Mumbai School of Business Management has commenced the registration process for MBA admission 2023. Candidates wishing to apply for NMIMS Mumbai MBA admission 2023 can apply before October 31, 2022. The B-school will provide admission in MBA courses based on NMAT scores.
