Parul University successfully hosted International Week 2025, its biggest global collaboration so far, bringing together delegates from more than 30 top universities and institutes across countries such as Germany, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, France, New Zealand, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, and Uzbekistan.

The event welcomed professors, researchers, and academic leaders from many fields including Engineering, Management, Applied Sciences, Liberal Arts, Design, and Public Health. Key highlights of the week included guest lectures and workshops under the Visiting Professor Program, cultural learning through the Indian Summer School Program, and participation of international students in the Inbound Semester Exchange Program. This year’s edition saw the highest participation ever, with universities such as Charles Sturt University (Australia), University Canada West (Canada), Airlangga University (Indonesia), Birmingham City University (UK), Wake Forest University (USA), Wroclaw University of Science & Technology (Poland), Universiti Sains Malaysia, and ITMO University (Russia) taking part. There was also a strong presence from Uzbekistan, with 18 delegates representing leading institutions of the country.

Speaking about the event, Dr. Preeti Nair, Director of International Relations, said, “The international week is our way of ensuring that students and faculty have a place where world views become a regular part of learning.” Dr. Devanshu J Patel, President of Parul University, added, “This year’s participation shows the growing importance of Parul University as a centre of international education and cultural cooperation.”

Vadodara-based Parul University was honoured to host the national program “Viksit Bharat Yuva Samvad” with Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, as the Chief Guest. The impactful dialogue was organised in association with Dr. Hemang Joshi, Member of Parliament. Shri Arif Mohammed Khan is a renowned political leader whose ideologies are progressive in terms of social reform, education and inclusive governance. He has worked in Indian politics and administration for many years. He has served as a Union Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Governor of Kerala, and is presently serving as the Governor of Bihar. His deep understanding of governance and his experience in advocacy for youth empowerment made his presence at the university very meaningful. The meeting turned out to be a platform where the experience of the government and the energy of the youth came together to discuss the ways to make India a better and developed nation. This interactive activity gave the students and young leaders an opportunity to share their visions, share in their creative ideas, and participate in the vision-making process of Viksit Bharat.

He said, “Most of them say, and we can also feel, that after many centuries, the centre of global power appears to be shifting, and it is no more a race between the USA and China, but India is also emerging as a global player, which will result in transforming the world from being unipolar to multipolar. This is a fact which is being recognised not so much by us but by people who have a feel of things to come, world leaders. They are saying that India is now unstoppable.” He also quoted Jack Ma, a Chinese businessman who once remarked, "One country which West cannot defeat is India." Shri Arif Khan’s words made a strong impact on the students, leaving them inspired with a renewed sense of pride and optimism for India’s future. Reflecting on the occasion, Dr. Devanshu Patel, President of Parul University, said, “It was an honour for the university to host Shri Arif Mohammed Khan on campus. His rich experience in the field of governance and the energy of our young generation made it a meaningful conversation, which empowered the collective aim of establishing a stronger and more advanced India.” The event represented Parul University's belief in developing socially responsible youth and providing opportunities that connect policy-making and grassroots engagement. Vadodara Rashtriya Natya Mahotsav is a big theatre festival held by Parul University in Vadodara. The city has always been known as the “Kala Nagari” or the City of Art because of its strong connection to culture and heritage. This goes back to the days of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, who believed that art and theatre could help society grow. His vision led to the founding of the Faculty of Performing Arts at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. The people of Vadodara and the city’s institutions have kept this dream alive by supporting theatre, music, and cultural events.

This year, Parul University is continuing this tradition by organizing a four-day festival called Vadodara Rashtriya Natya Mahotsav. The festival brings together artists, actors, and theatre lovers from Vadodara, Gujarat, and other parts of India. The goal is to celebrate, protect, and grow the art of drama and stage performance. People will get to enjoy and learn from different plays and performances, making the event a national celebration of art and creativity.

Many well-known theatre personalities are part of this festival. Padma Shri Manoj Joshi, a famous actor, started the event. Audiences can watch eight plays over four days. Some of the featured dramas include “Chanakya” by Manoj Joshi, “Ek Mulakat” by Shekhar Suman and Geetika Tyagi, “Massage” by Rakesh Bedi, and “Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai” by Rajendra Gupta and Himani Shivpuri. The festival truly brings together a group of famous and talented actors.

Leaders from Parul University, like Dr. Manish Jangra and Dr. Parul Patel, shared that the festival’s purpose is to keep alive Vadodara’s legacy of storytelling and to inspire new generations to take interest in theatre. In a grand celebration of performing arts and India’s rich legacy of theatre, Vadodara-based Parul University marked the grand inauguration of the Vadodara Rashtriya Natya Mahotsav, a four-day national theatre festival celebrating the timeless essence of Indian drama and storytelling. Over the course of 4 days, the festival will give a stage to the best line-up of plays and sessions led by some of the most renowned theatre and film personalities of the country, along with interactive sessions for the aspiring students. 

Renowned actor, Shri Yashpal Sharma, graced the event as the Chief Guest in a grand inauguration ceremony to formally unveil and commence the festival. During his opening address he engaged in an intimate talk session with students, sharing the values instilled by theatre, saying, “Theatre teaches you self-esteem, to respect others, to build imagination power, instill leadership qualities and everything that makes you a good person.” He further expressed his views on how every child from a young age must be exposed to theatre and its art to foster a sense of cultural belonging. Following this, acclaimed actor Mr. Ashish Vidyarthi, set the stage for the cultural extravaganza by delivering an inspiring PU Talks session and delighted students with a stand-up interaction, encouraging them to pursue life with resilience. He remarked, “In life, you will never be known by your weight, height, and colour, but by the work you do. So don’t be bothered by what others say.” Further, delivering a stand-up session that was equal parts motivating and entertaining, he left the students with a golden advice saying, “You don’t need to seek permission from others to be happy.”

On this occasion, Dr. Parul Patel, the Vice President of Parul University, shared the vision of the institution in hosting such a mass festival, “It is with the help of Vadodara Rashtriya Natya Utsav that we hope to restore the theatre spirit in its pristine form and ensure that our students get to learn from the roots and experiences of the luminaries of the stage.”

The morning fog over Vadodara's Parul University was painted with the hues of the tricolour as the university campus buzzed with activity on India's 79th Independence Day. Front and center was Vice Admiral Shekhar Sinha, seasoned naval leader and visionary commander, who graced the university as the Chief Guest and whose words bore the authority of experience and the richness of inspiration.

His address, followed by an interactive session, ushered in the trend for a day of pride, purpose, and promise. During his speech he addressed the youth saying, “India has reached a stage where it can sustain and thrive, with the support of its government and the respect of other nations. India will rise in power and it is now up to your generation, in whichever field you work, to carry that forward. Let every action be for Bharat. This is the path to a Viksit Bharat.” From the ceremonial flag hoisting to the smart, assured march of PU's NCC cadets, each moment reflected discipline, oneness, and the very essence of India.

And then the campus burst into a full-blown celebration. The dhols thundered, colours swirled in the air, and each beat pounded like the heartbeat of the country. PU's colourful and cosmopolitan student family, from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, North-East to Gujarat, joined hands, shoulder to shoulder, to make the stage burn. Folk dancers twirled in vibrant turbans, singers rendered songs with a frenzy that evoked a sense of patriotism, and the drama group brought freedom's stories to life with uninhibited passion. Each performance was filled with pride, each step a salute to the tricolour. With patriotic celebrations like these, Parul University stays committed to the vision of freedom and innovation and continues it’s efforts to nurture the cadets of a brighter, disciplined nation. 

Vadodara-based Parul University celebrates the remarkable achievement of its graduate students who have been recruited in the Indian Armed Forces as Trainee Officers through the hard work and dedication of the Armed Forces Motivational Cell team in the University and upon the completion of the training they will then get to serve their nation as Officers in the Indian Navy and Indian Army respectively. Animesh Narayan, Sujal Tiwari and Yuvraj Singh from the faculty of Engineering and Technology have been selected to join the Indian Navy as Executive Officer, Technical Officer and Logistics Officer, respectively and are currently undergoing training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala. Jenish Kumar Dagar from the faculty of Engineering and Technology has been selected to join the Indian Army as a Technical Officer and is undergoing training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.

These outstanding individuals represent service and discipline leading onto the ideologies of leadership, patriotism and academic excellence.The Armed Forces Motivational Cell has been playing a pivotal role in the shaping and grooming the  aspirants into success in written Defence entrance exams as well as in the  Services Selection Boards resulting into them being short-listed in the Merit list and selected for a career in the Armed Forces. “At Parul University, we take immense pride in nurturing not just scholars, but future defenders of the nation. The selection of our students into the Indian Navy or the Indian Army is a true reflection of their unwavering discipline, courage, and our commitment to serve. Parul University, Vadodara, marked a major stride in global academic collaboration as 11 faculty members and researchers from its Micro-Nano Research & Development Center (MN-RDC) embarked on a week-long academic visit to the United Kingdom. During the visit, the team attended the “Frontiers of Intelligence Computing: Theory & Applications 2025” conference at London Metropolitan University. Led by Prof. Anand Joshi, the delegation presented research in micro-nano technologies, intelligent systems, and interdisciplinary computing. Their work received widespread appreciation, and team members Unnati Joshi, Sushila Vadu, Vishal Mehta, and Jaivik Pathak from Parul Institute of Technology were awarded Best Paper Presentation for their statistical analysis of PEEK-GO-AgNPs nanocomposites.

Before their departure, Vice President Dr. Geetika M. Patel highlighted the significance of international exposure in enhancing research quality. President Dr. Devanshu Patel remarked, “This visit reflects our commitment to creating global opportunities. By building international bridges, we aim to lead in innovation and academic excellence.” Apart from the conference, the delegation held discussions on joint research, faculty partnerships, student exchange, and dual-degree programmes with five leading UK institutions including University of East London, University of Surrey, Middlesex University, Coventry University, and London Metropolitan University. These dialogues deepened the university’s understanding of global education trends.

The visit also offered insights into modern infrastructure and research ecosystems across UK universities, helping the delegation draw inspiration for strengthening Parul University's academic environment. Such initiatives reaffirm the university’s growing role in interdisciplinary research, innovation, and international academic collaboration.

Parul University’s campus turned into a hub of excitement and creativity during its much-loved annual fest, Dhoom 2025. The festival brought together students from different courses and countries to celebrate culture, art, and self-expression. With colourful events like dance, music, fashion shows, theatre, poetry, comedy, and art exhibitions, Dhoom became a joyful platform where every student got a chance to shine. The event gave students a break from academics and let them showcase their creativity and talents in front of large and enthusiastic crowds.

One of the most exciting parts of the fest was the Grand Concert Night, where famous artists and DJs performed live. The energy on the grounds was high as thousands of students danced and celebrated under the open sky. Events like the fashion show focused on powerful themes like eco-friendly fashion and women’s rights, while dance and music performances displayed a mix of traditional and modern styles. Students also performed plays, poetry, and comedy acts that touched on important topics like mental health, identity, and student life, making the fest both entertaining and meaningful.

Behind the scenes, student teams managed the entire festival from planning and budgeting to organising and hosting events. This gave them a chance to build leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. Dhoom also celebrated diversity through international food stalls, multilingual performances, and cultural parades. For many students, Dhoom is not just a festival it’s a life-changing experience that helps them discover new talents, build confidence, and create lifelong memories. As the festival grows every year, it continues to reflect the vibrant spirit of Parul University and the creativity of its students.

Parul University is all set to host Tech Expo 2025, one of Gujarat’s biggest tech festivals. This annual two-day event will showcase over 370 innovative projects by final-year students from engineering, applied sciences, computer applications, and agriculture. The expo will offer hands-on exposure to students and help them develop real-world technical skills. More than 1500 participants from schools and colleges across Gujarat and beyond are expected to attend. Shri Narasimha Komar, IPS & Commissioner of Police, Vadodara City, will be the Chief Guest. A panel of 20+ experts will guide and mentor students during the event.

Among the key highlights are inventions like a waste heat recovery system for vehicles, a smart blind stick, a drone named Baaz with night vision and thermal cameras, and an IoT-based water quality monitoring system. Other notable entries include Millet-Enriched Chocolate Protein Bars and an AI-based Motorcycle Anti-Theft & Crash Response System. Students will also present a robotic bomb disposal arm called VENOM. The best ideas will be awarded for their creativity and impact. With such promising innovations, Tech Expo 2025 aims to be a hub for learning, networking, and promoting student-led technology for a better tomorrow.

Parul University once again proved its cultural excellence by winning the title of Overall Champions at Satrang – The 38th AIU West Zone Unifest 2025, organised by the Association of Indian Universities. Competing against top universities, PU students showcased their talent in various categories and emerged victorious. The university bagged top positions in Dance, Theatre, Fine Arts, and Literary Arts, while also becoming 2nd Runners Up in Music. Students won 1st place in events like One Act Play, Debate, Cartooning, On-Spot Photography, and Mehendi, and secured 2nd place in 11 categories including Cultural Procession, Classical Dance, Folk Orchestra, Mime, and more. They also earned 3rd place in Folk Dance, Elocution, Poster Making, and others, along with notable placements in Skit and Western Instrumental Solo. This all-round performance is a reflection of the university’s focus on nurturing creativity and talent among students across disciplines.

University President Dr. Devanshu Patel expressed pride in the students' achievements and said the consecutive victory marks a significant milestone in PU’s cultural journey. Parul University successfully held the 3rd edition of the Vadodara Literature Festival, in partnership with I.I.M.U.N., bringing together 50+ renowned authors, artists, and speakers. The 3-day event welcomed over 15,000 literature lovers and featured engaging sessions, book launches, poetry slams, and cultural performances. The festival was inaugurated by Shrimati Radhikaraje Gaekwad, with special appearances by actor Ila Arun and author Jeffrey Archer (virtually). Ila Arun also launched her book Pardey Ke Peechay and encouraged the youth to explore books and experiences fearlessly. The first day focused on regional languages, with Padma Shri Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi highlighting the importance of linguistic diversity and identity.

Day two celebrated young voices and social impact through literature. Actor and author Prajakta Koli launched her book Too Good To Be True and shared her journey. Guests visited a book fair, flea market, and the “Meet the Author” zone. Panels discussed topics like entrepreneurship, women empowerment, journalism, health, design, public policy, and armed forces. Eminent names like Rajdeep Sardesai, Preeti Shenoy, Novoneel Chakraborty, and Deepa Malik were among the key speakers.

Parul University hosted its grandest celebration yet with Projections 2025 x Freshers Fest, bringing together innovation, culture, and music on a massive scale. Known as Gujarat’s largest techno-cultural fest, the event attracted over 70,000 visitors, including students, alumni, and guests. With BMW and Taco Bell as sponsors, and 20,000+ participants from 91 institutions across 7 states, the event offered something for everyone. Under the theme Tech Marvel 2.0, students showcased their creativity through 50+ competitions and workshops. Highlights included robotics challenges, coding marathons, and an AR/VR experience zone. A buzzing flea market with 20+ stalls and fun arcade games added to the excitement.

Freshers Fest 2025 welcomed the newest students with interactive activities, team-building events, and a strong sense of community. The festival reached its peak with thrilling performances by folk artist Kirtidan Gadhavi, singer Sunidhi Chauhan, and rapper Badshah, turning the nights into unforgettable concerts. President Dr. Devanshu Patel shared that the festival reflected the university’s mission to blend technology with culture, helping students grow both academically and artistically. One major win came from Team PRIXX from Pune, who triumphed in the 60kg robotics battle, sharing how the festival pushed their creativity and team spirit. Through this mega event, Parul University once again proved its dedication to offering top-notch learning, entertainment, and a vibrant student life experience.

Parul University, Vadodara, celebrated its 8th Convocation Ceremony, awarding degrees to 12,689 students across diverse disciplines. The event drew over 18,000 attendees, including students, families, and distinguished guests. Notable speakers included Smriti Irani, Saina Nehwal, Arnab Goswami, and Srikanth Bolla, who shared inspiring stories of resilience, hard work, and innovation.

The ceremony honored 91 Gold Medalists and 35 Certificate of Merit recipients. Top performers included Neha Chaudhari (Reliance), Riddi Birari (Seros Energy), Piyush Soni (Mahitech LLC), and Jaydeep Findoria (Gujarat High Court). Many are pursuing further studies or launching startups.The President’s Gold Medal was awarded to student startup MedRef Healthbridge Solutions, founded by Emmanuel Ssekyanzi and Asiimwe Joshua Bigirwa, for their impactful work in healthcare across India and Africa, in collaboration with UNICEF and WHO.

Seven alumni, including professionals from Microsoft, Tesla, the Ministry of Defence, and US FDA, were recognized for their achievements. University leaders including Dr. Devanshu Patel and Dr. Komal Patel graced the occasion.Speeches by the chief guests motivated graduates to embrace challenges and contribute to the nation’s growth. The Parul Institute of Architecture and Research (PIAR), Faculty of Architecture and Planning, Parul University, celebrated World Architecture Day with an engaging event that included inspiring talks, creative exhibitions, and the prestigious AURA Awards Ceremony.The event began with a welcome by Prof. Dr. Bhagyajit Raval, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Jignesh Vyas. A traditional lamp-lighting ceremony marked the formal start. The day featured two main segments: Design Dialogues and an Academic Exhibition.

Design Dialogues included talks by renowned architects like Ar. Gurjit Singh Matharoo, Ar. Mona Doctor Pingel, and Ar. Gajanand Ram. They shared valuable insights on design and modern architecture, inspiring students and faculty alike. The Academic Exhibition showcased impressive student work, reflecting PIAR’s focus on creativity, innovation, and hands-on learning. The highlight was the AURA (Awards for Unique Rigour in Architecture) Awards Ceremony. Awards were given in multiple categories such as architectural thesis, photography, models, documentation, writing, and reels. A respected jury of experts judged the entries. Winners also presented their projects, offering a glimpse into their creative process. Architects from Vadodara and students from other colleges attended the event. Around Rs 2.5 lakhs in cash prizes were awarded, giving recognition to outstanding architectural work. The celebration was a great success, reflecting PIAR’s strong commitment to excellence and its role in shaping future architects.

Parul University proudly hosted the 3rd edition of the IIMUN Vadodara Conclave, a grand event that brought together global leaders, changemakers, and over 25,000 students from across the country. The conclave served as a powerful platform for dialogue on leadership, innovation, and global issues, igniting the minds of young future leaders. The event featured inspiring keynote addresses by celebrated guests such as Dr. S. Somanath (Chairman, ISRO), actor Anupam Kher, author and MP Dr. Shashi Tharoor, and former Prime Minister of Montenegro, Igor Luksic. Each speaker shared valuable insights drawn from their personal and professional journeys.

Dr. Somanath emphasized India’s strength in science and innovation and encouraged students to take leadership roles globally. Anupam Kher spoke about embracing failure, self-belief, and learning from life’s challenges. Dr. Tharoor encouraged the youth to stay true to themselves and contribute meaningfully to society. Igor Luksic discussed global leadership, diplomacy, and the importance of cultural understanding. Founder of IIMUN, Rishabh Shah, praised Parul University’s support in nurturing dialogue and leadership. The conclave also featured mesmerizing performances by flutist Krishna Solanki and the band Staccato, making the event both intellectually and artistically enriching.

Parul University’s Faculty of Law recently hosted its first-ever International Mediation Competition at the Vadodara campus, attracting student teams from 29 top universities across India, including 7 National Law Universities. The event created a unique platform for students to sharpen their mediation and dispute resolution skills under the guidance of top legal experts. Esteemed guests included Hon’ble Supreme Court Justices Rajesh Bindal and Ujjal Bhuyan, Hon’ble Justice Girish Kathpalia, and legal scholar Dr. Sudhir Krishnaswamy. Their presence added immense value to the event and inspired the budding legal professionals. Justice Bindal highlighted how ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) mechanisms like mediation are vital in reducing case loads and making justice more efficient, especially with the help of technology like live-streaming, e-filing, and access to judgments in multiple languages. Justice Bhuyan emphasized that a lawyer’s role is evolving beyond courtrooms and that mediation encourages dialogue, neutrality, and peaceful resolution. He called justice a “divine responsibility” and shared insights on judges' role in politics, stressing the importance of timing.

Justice Girish Kathpalia, reflecting on his 40-year judicial career, stated that while courts are essential, the world needs more mediators who can mend broken relationships. He praised the competition for preparing students to be future-ready in ADR. The event featured multiple rigorous rounds of simulated mediation sessions, giving participants hands-on experience. Dr. Sudhir Krishnaswamy applauded Parul University for setting a strong example in promoting mediation as a mindset and essential skill. This successful competition not only showcased legal talent but also encouraged important discussions on justice, empathy, and innovation in law. Through such initiatives, Parul University continues to empower students and promote legal excellence on a national level.

Parul University successfully hosted the National Healthcare Skills Conclave & Emergency Medicine Gujarat 2025, focusing on the theme “One Nation, One Response: Pre-hospital care and life-saving skills.” Organized by the Faculty of Medicine, the event saw participation from over 2000 students, 25+ national experts, and included hands-on workshops, competitions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. The event was inaugurated by Shri Rushikesh Patel, Hon’ble Health Minister of Gujarat, who praised the university for strengthening healthcare through education and innovation.

During his address, Shri Patel stressed the importance of pre-hospital care and emergency response training, especially at the grassroots level. He appreciated Parul University’s commitment to creating skilled healthcare professionals and acknowledged the impact of facilities like Pragya – the Advanced Skill and Simulation Centre. He also inaugurated the Pragya Ambulance Simulation Unit and the Parul Vision & Laser Centre, aimed at improving emergency care training and eye health services. The minister visited Parul Sevashram Hospital, an 800-bed medical facility serving the community.

Dr. Geetika Patel, Medical Director and Vice President of Parul University, highlighted how the event bridges the gap between medical knowledge and practical skills. She emphasised that Parul trains over 10,000 students annually through advanced simulations, preparing them for real-world healthcare challenges. Parul University’s Faculty of Ayurved in Vadodara successfully hosted the international conference “Ayurveda for Everyone, Every Day” – Ayurvimarsha. The event brought together global experts, scholars, and students to explore the modern relevance of Ayurveda in everyday life, especially for public health, students, and farmers.mThe conference was preceded by month-long activities, including webinars, paper presentations, sports events, and an online Ayur Quiz. A day before the main event, international experts led special webinars.

The conference was inaugurated by top dignitaries including Dr. Raghuram Bhatt (President, NCISM), Acharya Manish Ji (Founder, HIMS & Jeena Sikho), and Dr. Hasmukh Soni (Chairman, Gujarat Ayurved Medical Association). Dr. Hemant Toshikhane welcomed the guests, and Dr. Komal Patel delivered the presidential address. Best Paper Awards and a Preconference Proceedings book were also presented.Over two days, expert-led scientific sessions covered key topics such as Ayurvedic surgery, mental health, cancer care, global Ayurveda regulations, and the Clinical Establishment Act. Notable speakers included Dr. Harish Verma (Canada), Dr. Shrikant K (Himalaya Wellness), and Dr. Gaurang Joshi (Rajkot), among others.

Day two featured insights from respected professionals like Vd. Tapan Vaidya, Dr. Ramdas Avhad, and Dr. Rohit Sane. They addressed issues like Ayurvedic prescriptions, urology, pain management, and challenges in the Ayurvedic industry. A special Principal’s Conclave added academic value, and the event ended with a valedictory session and a vote of thanks by Dr. B.G. Kulkarni. The conference was a resounding success, promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration in the field of Ayurveda.

Parul University, Vadodara, recently hosted the International Staff Teaching & Training Week 2024, bringing together delegates from 12 countries to discuss global education and build international partnerships. The theme of the event was “Developing Competencies for Strengthening Internationalization.” It aimed to share ideas on student exchange, global collaboration, and multicultural learning.

The week-long event saw participation from educators and experts from countries like Germany, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Spain, Portugal, Australia, Indonesia, Switzerland, France, Lithuania, Italy, and Poland. They took part in workshops, presentations, cultural activities, and training sessions. These activities helped everyone understand different teaching methods, exchange ideas, and explore ways to improve education systems. Delegates like Dr. Hubertus Johannes Forschelen (Germany), Dr. Arasu Raman (Malaysia), and several others shared insights on international research, global student mobility, and cross-cultural understanding. Students from Italy, Spain, and Poland also joined the event as part of the Inbound Exchange Program, making the experience more diverse and enriching.

Participants got a closer look at India’s rich culture, traditions, and food through various events. The program helped build strong connections and opened doors for future partnerships between Parul University and global institutions. Dr. Preeti Nair, Director of the Center for International Relations and Research, said the event was a great success and helped strengthen Parul University’s commitment to global education. Overall, the International Week 2024 was a valuable experience that promoted collaboration and offered new ways to improve international learning and teaching.

The recently announced national rankings in ayurveda and homeopathy have raised the city’s standards of quality medical education, with two of the local ayurveda institutes and four homeopathy institutes under Parul University being ranked among the nation’s top. The National Commission for Indian System of Medicine and the Quality Council of India, recently declared the national rankings of ayurveda institutes across India, where Parul Institute of Ayurved was awarded a Grade A and ranked 8th in India and Parul Institute of Ayurved and Research was also awarded a Grade A with an 11th rank across the nation. In addition to this achievement, all four of Parul University’s Homeopathy Institutes, were also declared among the nation’s top institutes in the recent National Medical Assessment and Ratings by the National Commission for Homeopathy. Jawaharlal Nehru Homoeopathic Medical College, Ahmedabad Homoeopathic Medical College, Rajkot Homoeopathic Medical College and Parul Institute of Homoeopathy & Research were awarded with a Grade A+, placing them among the leading institutes for Homeopathy education in Gujarat and India. 

These top rankings and ratings secured by all 6 of Parul University’s ayush institutes, is a testament to its commitment towards providing the highest standards of quality in ayurvedic and homeopathy medicine and education. The NCISM and QCI standards, evaluate the institutes’ quality mechanism through parameters such as infrastructure and resources, research, teaching practices and innovation among other quality mechanisms, under which all the ayurveda institutes under Parul University secured high ratings. Over the years, the University has made significant efforts dedicated towards reinforcing its ayurvedic medical training, by providing the highest standards of excellence through effective clinical training with the support of its NABH accredited teaching hospitals. “As Parul University, we have been committed towards shaping and nurturing the finest practitioners in ayurved medicine. In the field of homeopathy, the University, through its four institutes, has created a leading ecosystem of quality medical training in the field. Over the years, Parul University has produced some of the leading homeopathy doctors and experts who have been transforming the medical industry. Additionally, this rating by the National Commission for Homeopathy, is evidence of its leading practices in homeopathic research and innovation, quality clinical training, leading facilities and resources, and providing the highest standard of community support through its four NABH accredited teaching hospitals across Vadodara, Ahmedabad and Rajkot. “These Grade A+ ratings, which have been received in all 4 of our homeopathy institutes, are a testament to our vision and agenda for producing the highest quality in the field. We have continued in our efforts to shape India’s healthcare system, by providing the best support for both our students and faculty members in homeopathy and I believe we will continue to soar even higher”, said the University’s Vice President, Dr. Parul Patel

Her Excellency Begoña Gómez, wife of the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, along with Spanish government delegates, visited Parul University’s Startup Incubation Centre in Vadodara. The visit was part of her India tour hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the visit, Her Excellency interacted with 12 student-led startups and explored the university’s incubation ecosystem. She praised the innovative efforts of the students and highlighted the importance of entrepreneurship in solving global challenges. Parul University was specially selected by the Ministry of External Affairs of Spain, recognising its strong focus on innovation. Ranked in the 11–50 band in the NIRF Innovation Rankings 2024 and awarded a 4-star rating by the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell for three consecutive years, the university stands out for its contribution to student entrepreneurship.

Her Excellency toured the incubation center under PIERC (Parul Innovation & Entrepreneurship Research Center), which has supported over 200 startups. She met founders from ventures like Galanto Innovations, Dr. Cardio, Yield Earth Pro, Dori Handicrafts, and others, covering sectors like health, tech, agriculture, and sustainability. In her keynote, she appreciated the university’s social innovation efforts and called the students’ work “inspiring.” The visit also featured cultural performances and warm interactions with university leaders, including Dr. Devanshu Patel, President of Parul University.

The visit marked a step forward in strengthening Indo-Spanish ties in education and entrepreneurship. The university aims to explore future collaborations with Spain and provide global exposure to its students.
