Parul University successfully hosted International Week 2025, its biggest global collaboration so far, bringing together delegates from more than 30 top universities and institutes across countries such as Germany, the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, France, New Zealand, South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, and Uzbekistan.
The event welcomed professors, researchers, and academic leaders from many fields including Engineering, Management, Applied Sciences, Liberal Arts, Design, and Public Health. Key highlights of the week included guest lectures and workshops under the Visiting Professor Program, cultural learning through the Indian Summer School Program, and participation of international students in the Inbound Semester Exchange Program. This year’s edition saw the highest participation ever, with universities such as Charles Sturt University (Australia), University Canada West (Canada), Airlangga University (Indonesia), Birmingham City University (UK), Wake Forest University (USA), Wroclaw University of Science & Technology (Poland), Universiti Sains Malaysia, and ITMO University (Russia) taking part. There was also a strong presence from Uzbekistan, with 18 delegates representing leading institutions of the country.

Vadodara-based Parul University was honoured to host the national program “Viksit Bharat Yuva Samvad” with Shri Arif Mohammed Khan, Hon'ble Governor of Bihar, as the Chief Guest. The impactful dialogue was organised in association with Dr. Hemang Joshi, Member of Parliament. Shri Arif Mohammed Khan is a renowned political leader whose ideologies are progressive in terms of social reform, education and inclusive governance. He has worked in Indian politics and administration for many years. He has served as a Union Minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Governor of Kerala, and is presently serving as the Governor of Bihar. His deep understanding of governance and his experience in advocacy for youth empowerment made his presence at the university very meaningful. The meeting turned out to be a platform where the experience of the government and the energy of the youth came together to discuss the ways to make India a better and developed nation. This interactive activity gave the students and young leaders an opportunity to share their visions, share in their creative ideas, and participate in the vision-making process of Viksit Bharat.
He said, “Most of them say, and we can also feel, that after many centuries, the centre of global power appears to be shifting, and it is no more a race between the USA and China, but India is also emerging as a global player, which will result in transforming the world from being unipolar to multipolar. This is a fact which is being recognised not so much by us but by people who have a feel of things to come, world leaders. They are saying that India is now unstoppable.” He also quoted Jack Ma, a Chinese businessman who once remarked, "One country which West cannot defeat is India." Shri Arif Khan’s words made a strong impact on the students, leaving them inspired with a renewed sense of pride and optimism for India’s future. Renowned actor, Shri Yashpal Sharma, graced the event as the Chief Guest in a grand inauguration ceremony to formally unveil and commence the festival. During his opening address he engaged in an intimate talk session with students, sharing the values instilled by theatre, saying, “Theatre teaches you self-esteem, to respect others, to build imagination power, instill leadership qualities and everything that makes you a good person.” He further expressed his views on how every child from a young age must be exposed to theatre and its art to foster a sense of cultural belonging. Following this, acclaimed actor Mr. Ashish Vidyarthi, set the stage for the cultural extravaganza by delivering an inspiring PU Talks session and delighted students with a stand-up interaction, encouraging them to pursue life with resilience. He remarked, “In life, you will never be known by your weight, height, and colour, but by the work you do. So don’t be bothered by what others say.” Further, delivering a stand-up session that was equal parts motivating and entertaining, he left the students with a golden advice saying, “You don’t need to seek permission from others to be happy.”

Folk dancers twirled in vibrant turbans, singers rendered songs with a frenzy that evoked a sense of patriotism, and the drama group brought freedom's stories to life with uninhibited passion. Vadodara-based Parul University celebrates the remarkable achievement of its graduate students who have been recruited in the Indian Armed Forces as Trainee Officers through the hard work and dedication of the Armed Forces Motivational Cell team in the University and upon the completion of the training they will then get to serve their nation as Officers in the Indian Navy and Indian Army respectively. Animesh Narayan, Sujal Tiwari and Yuvraj Singh from the faculty of Engineering and Technology have been selected to join the Indian Navy as Executive Officer, Technical Officer and Logistics Officer, respectively and are currently undergoing training at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at Ezhimala. Jenish Kumar Dagar from the faculty of Engineering and Technology has been selected to join the Indian Army as a Technical Officer and is undergoing training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai.

Parul University, Vadodara, marked a major stride in global academic collaboration as 11 faculty members and researchers from its Micro-Nano Research & Development Center (MN-RDC) embarked on a week-long academic visit to the United Kingdom. During the visit, the team attended the “Frontiers of Intelligence Computing: Theory & Applications 2025” conference at London Metropolitan University. Led by Prof. Anand Joshi, the delegation presented research in micro-nano technologies, intelligent systems, and interdisciplinary computing. Their work received widespread appreciation, and team members Unnati Joshi, Sushila Vadu, Vishal Mehta, and Jaivik Pathak from Parul Institute of Technology were awarded Best Paper Presentation for their statistical analysis of PEEK-GO-AgNPs nanocomposites.

Parul University is all set to host Tech Expo 2025, one of Gujarat’s biggest tech festivals. This annual two-day event will showcase over 370 innovative projects by final-year students from engineering, applied sciences, computer applications, and agriculture. The expo will offer hands-on exposure to students and help them develop real-world technical skills. Parul University once again proved its cultural excellence by winning the title of Overall Champions at Satrang – The 38th AIU West Zone Unifest 2025, organised by the Association of Indian Universities. Competing against top universities, PU students showcased their talent in various categories and emerged victorious. The university bagged top positions in Dance, Theatre, Fine Arts, and Literary Arts, while also becoming 2nd Runners Up in Music. Parul University successfully held the 3rd edition of the Vadodara Literature Festival, in partnership with I.I.M.U.N., bringing together 50+ renowned authors, artists, and speakers. The 3-day event welcomed over 15,000 literature lovers and featured engaging sessions, book launches, poetry slams, and cultural performances. The festival was inaugurated by Shrimati Radhikaraje Gaekwad, with special appearances by actor Ila Arun and author Jeffrey Archer (virtually). Ila Arun also launched her book Pardey Ke Peechay and encouraged the youth to explore books and experiences fearlessly. Known as Gujarat’s largest techno-cultural fest, the event attracted over 70,000 visitors, including students, alumni, and guests. With BMW and Taco Bell as sponsors, and 20,000+ participants from 91 institutions across 7 states, the event offered something for everyone. Under the theme Tech Marvel 2.0, students showcased their creativity through 50+ competitions and workshops. Highlights included robotics challenges, coding marathons, and an AR/VR experience zone. A buzzing flea market with 20+ stalls and fun arcade games added to the excitement.

Esteemed guests included Hon’ble Supreme Court Justices Rajesh Bindal and Ujjal Bhuyan, Hon’ble Justice Girish Kathpalia, and legal scholar Dr. Sudhir Krishnaswamy. Justice Bindal highlighted how ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution) mechanisms like mediation are vital in reducing case loads and making justice more efficient, especially with the help of technology like live-streaming, e-filing, and access to judgments in multiple languages. Parul University’s Parul Institute of Design is orgnaising the Vadodara Film & Design Festival from April 18 to 22, 2023. The last date to register for this event is April 15, 2023. The Vadodara Film and Design Festival (VFDF) was created with the intention of fostering design talent as well as supporting independent and local films. In order to interact and engage on a local to a worldwide level, VFDF aims to bring together expert designers and student designers from the domains of film, animation, visual communication and applied arts under one roof.
The VFDF's mission is to provide young and aspiring designers and filmmakers with venues where they can show off their work and screen their short films for discriminating audiences while, more crucially, receiving constructive criticism from eminent authorities in a variety of industries. More than 200 motion arts contributions from nations including Brazil, Iran, the United Kingdom, the United States, France, Japan, Indonesia, and Bangladesh are included in this year's Parul University Vadodara VFDF 2023 event. Nine significant awards, including Best Film, Best Documentary, Best Animation, and other awards, will be given to the best among these exceptional works of art and innovation.
Students of Parul University took part in the West Zone All India Inter-University (AIU) Championship hosted at Jain University. Parul University recently bagged a sanction grant of Rs 1.8 crore as part of the Gujarati government education departments student startup and innovation policy ( SSIP 2.0). The Parul University Institute of Engineering and Technology recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gujarat Knowledge Society. The SSIP scheme will provide funding of Rs 40 lakh per year for five years to the university's innovators and researchers.
The SSIP's purpose is to construct an end-to-end support system in educational institutions that will offer ample support for ideas for better execution, as well as to create a student-centric innovation and pre-incubation ecosystem for students and innovators. Other projects undertaken by the institution include the 124 project, which obtained funding worth more than 80 lakh rupees under the policy's 1.0 numerous efforts for student entrepreneurship and innovation.
Parul University in Vadodara recently welcomed Former Cabinet Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur for a powerful interaction on the topic ‘One Nation, One Election’. Parul University successfully hosted the National Healthcare Skills Conclave & Emergency Medicine Gujarat 2025, focusing on the theme “One Nation, One Response: Pre-hospital care and life-saving skills.” Organized by the Faculty of Medicine, the event saw participation from over 2000 students, 25+ national experts, and included hands-on workshops, competitions, and knowledge-sharing sessions. The event was inaugurated by Shri Rushikesh Patel, Hon’ble Health Minister of Gujarat, who praised the university for strengthening healthcare through education and innovation.
During his address, Shri Patel stressed the importance of pre-hospital care and emergency response training, especially at the grassroots level. Parul University’s Faculty of Ayurved in Vadodara successfully hosted the international conference “Ayurveda for Everyone, Every Day” – Ayurvimarsha. Parul University recently hosted a grand International Convocation Ceremony for its foreign national graduates, with Honorable Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. The event celebrated the achievements of 720 international students who completed their academic journey at the university this year. Over 600 graduates attended the ceremony, joined by more than 2,700 international students, 100+ proud parents, 20 foreign dignitaries, and an audience of 6,000+, making it one of the university’s most memorable events.
Dr Jaishankar, in his keynote address, spoke about the importance of education, cultural exchange, and India’s growing role in global cooperation. Parul University Institute of Medical Sciences and Research National Healthcare Skills Conclave 2023 successfully concluded at its leading Skills & Simulation Centre “Pragya”. The two-day conference brought together experts worldwide to share their knowledge. It was made up of online and offline engagements, including expert sessions, panel discussions, technical sessions, and poster presentations.
A total of 200 abstracts were received, with 65 papers presented by delegates from various universities in the areas of entrepreneurship challenges in digitalisation, the impact of corporate governance on financial performance, digitalisation in the MSME sector, AI and chatbots in the banking industry. Experts from multiple higher educational institutions and more than 20 of Parul University’s PhD scholars presented online track papers, including international scholars from countries like Ethiopia.

A unique initiative was taken by the social responsive cell of Parul University - BAL MILAN for children of Waghodiya taluka. It is an effort to provide a platform for the children of rural schools to showcase their talents in sports and cultural activities hosted at the sports grounds and halls of the university. The objective of this BAL MILAN programme is to take a step towards promoting the poor and vulnerable children for good quality education and make them independent citizens of our country.
The event was a grand bash as around 200 children from different schools around Waghodia participated in this exclusive event. Our honourable chairperson of SRC, Dr. Geetika Patel Ma'am, was the chief guest for the program. Various sports and cultural activities, such as the 100 & 200 meters running race, solo and group dance, and singing performances, took place where the tiny tots got a platform to showcase their talent.
In the end, the children who won the competitions were appreciated with medals, trophies and certificates Resp. Provost sir, pro-VC sir, and Registrar, sir, graced the occasion. They also encouraged children through her motivational speech.
Parul University conducted a two days freshers fest 2022 at their gigantic campus. Over 11,000 new students from various regions of the country attended the event. The aim of the carnival event was to celebrate the students' transition from school to university.
There were plenty of activities such as games, music/ EDM, jamming sessions, dance etc. The students also enjoyed fantastic performances from artists Anuv Jain and Zephyrtone. Parul University Vice-President Dr Parul Patel shared his thoughts on the event. ‘We welcome our new batch 2022-23 to Parul University and wish them good luck for starting their journey towards becoming future leaders’, he said.
On the first day of the event, the electronic music of Zephyrtone entertained the students. Whereas on the second day, the youth icon Anuv Jain mesmerised the students with his brilliant voice and concluded the two days fest in the best possible way.
Parul University is among the top universities in the country, it recently hosted an exclusive session with Ashneer Grover, the renowned entrepreneur, former Managing Director and Co-founder of Bharat Pe, and a judge reality television show, Shark Tank, for Parul University Talks (PU Talks). Before the completion of the 2021-22 academic and placement season, the Parul University has already successfully placed over 1,460 final-year students in over 1024 national and international recruiters. The university this year has also brought the highest package of Rs 30 LPA, offered to the students. The University, in the first four months of its placement season, saw 20 Super Dream Companies and 100 Dream Companies visiting the campus to provide students with leading opportunities. Some of these recruiters include E6 Data, Josh Technologies Pvt Ltd, MG Motors, Reliance Industries, Adani Group, Worley, Sterlite Technologies, etc.

Parul University recently hosted the grand third season of Vadodara Fashion Week, organized by the Parul Institute of Design (PID). Actor Arjun Kapoor praised the students' creativity and said he was proud to be part of the event. University President Dr. Devanshu Patel called it a proud moment to witness students combine technical skills with bold ideas. Parul University has organized its second edition of Vadodara Start-Up Festival virually, and the event was attended by 20,540 members. The event witnessed the partcipation of 30 esteemed speakers spread over 25 sessions. Bhensaniya Parita and Sandipkumar Patel, two of University alumni from the Department of Aeronautical engineering secured admission in IIT-Kharagpur. Her Excellency Begoña Gómez, wife of the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, along with Spanish government delegates, visited Parul University’s Startup Incubation Centre in Vadodara. The visit was part of her India tour hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
