What is the legal status of the Institute of Rural Management Anand?

IRMA Anand is registered as a society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is also registered as a deemed public trust under section 2(13) of the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. IRMA is not substantially or wholly owned by the Government of India or the State. It is a self-financed Institute. Thus, IRMA is known as an autonomous body.
