Founded in 1967, The Sheridan College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning is a diploma, certificate and degree-granting polytechnic institute in Ontario, Canada. It is an award-winning institution that attracts students from across the world to pursue higher education in Canada.The Sheridan College is affiliated with The National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD), The Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), The Alberta public colleges and technical institutes, and The Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE). Sheridan College was honored under the top 5 research colleges in Canada in the list of Canadas Top 50 Research Colleges, as per the rankings released in 2018 by Research Infosource Inc.

Infrastructure, Campus & Courses

Sheridan College has 3 campuses namely Trafalgar Road Campus (Oakville), Davis Campus (Brampton) and Hazel McCallion Campus (Mississauga), which are located in Ontario. The Campus is partnered with the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) campus, to create 4 different cross-campus programs namely, Digital Enterprise Management, Theatre & Drama Studies, CCIT and Art & Art History Studies. It is also the home of Canada's largest art school, the Faculty of Animation, and Arts & Design.The Institution offers over 120 programs across 5 faculties, including 26-degree programs. They offer courses in various fields like Business, Applied Computing, Engineering Technology, Animation, Illustration, Community Studies, and Liberal Studies. The 5 Faculties and schools include the Faculty of Animation, Arts and Design, Pilon School of Business, the Faculty of Applied Health and Community Studies, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Applied Science and Technology, and Continuing and Professional Studies.

Accomplishments & Alumni

In 2018, Research Infosource Inc. awarded Sheridan College under the top 5 in the categories of research partnerships, income, student researchers, and intensity. Furthermore, it has also continued to maintain its #1 rank in the completed research projects with a total of 180 projects. Notable Alumni include Kent Angus, businessman and Paul Loicq Award winner, Danny Antonucci, creator of Ed, Edd n Eddy, Alan Barillaro, Pixar animator and director of Piper, Winner of the Best Animated Short Film at the 89th Academy Awards, Dean DeBlois, animator and director (Walt Disney Animation Studios, DreamWorks Pictures), and Jon Minnis, animator and director of Charade, Winner of the Best Animated Short Film at the 57th Academy Awards.

Sheridan is home to more than 23000+ full-time students and 17000+ continuing education students representing more than 110 countries. In 2018, over 6400+ students travelled from those 110 countries to Sheridan College for studies.
