The final placements of the 2018-20 bath at IIM-K have been concluded and the institute has performed excellent and shown improvements in almost all of the placement statistics. 418 students and 131 recruiters attended the IIMK 2020 placements. Out of the attendees, 413 students received offers from some of the top recruiters at IIMK 2020 placements while 5 of the students decided to opt-out of the placement process.
The 2020 placement data at IIMK show significant improvements over the last year's numbers in a number of sectors. While the average package offered at IIMK 2020 placements saw a 12% increase, going to Rs. 23.08 lakh pa from Rs. 20.60 lakhs pa. The median salary package received by the students also increased by 12.5% to Rs. 23.80 lakhs pa.
Even the number of companies visiting IIMK placements saw an increase of around 22% with 131 companies covering a wide range of segments participating in the process. From green energy sectors to e-commerce sectors and startups, the portfolio of companies visiting IIMK for placements was as diverse as it was impressive. Apart from giants such as Amazon, Uber, Pidilite, Flipkart, EY, Reliance Industries, Samsung making offers, many startups also hired IIMK graduates and the institute saw an increase in offers from e-commerce industries.
The recently completed placement season of IIM Kozhikode has ended up with a 100% placement record. Just like every placement season, many companies were invited to the campus. Some of the companies visited the campus for the first time.

The final placements for IIM Kozhikode PGP batch 2017-19 have been concluded. The current placement season witnessed a 16% surge in mean and median salary offered. The mean salary offered to IIM Kozhikode has been increased from Rs. 17.8 lakh per annum to Rs. 20.6 lakh per annum this year. On the other hand, the median salary witnessed an increase from Rs. 16 lakh to Rs. 18.5 lakh this year. Around 30% of students were selected from the consulting domain. The highest CTC offered was INR 34 Lakh per annum and the average CTC for consulting was INR 20.84 lakh per annum. There was an increase of 20% in average CTC from the previous year.
After that, 21% of the students were selected from the finance domain. The highest CTC for the finance domain was INR 38 lakh per annum and the average was INR 18.41 lakh per annum. Finance domain saw an increase of 15% in average CTC as compared to previous years.
Around 10% of the students were selected from general management domain. The highest CTC for the finance domain was INR 27.50 lakh per annum and the average was INR 20.51 lakh per annum. General management experience an increase of 10% in average CTC from the previous year.
Besides this, IT and Analytics domain offered the Highest CTC of INR 35.94 lakh per annum and Operations domain offered INR 40.50 lakh per annum as highest CTC.

IIM Kozhikode recorded 100% placement for its 2015-17 batch. The institute saw reputed firms like Ernst & Young, Fidelity, American Express, etc participate in order to hire talented students from the placement drive. Some of the top recruiters at the institute were Accenture Strategy, BCG, Amazon, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Ernst & Young, Hindustan Unilever, JPMC, ITC and McKinsey.
Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode successfully completed placement drive for its 19th PGP batch students. The institute recorded 100% placements and saw a 15% rise in the number of placements compared to 2016. In 2017 the institute saw a rise of 25% in the average stipend. 9 students bagged the highest stipend of Rs. 3 lakh for the two-month internship programme. IIM Kozhikode (IIM-K) finished their final placement in the record time of seven days.Average Salary rose by 12% to stand at 17.1 lakhs per annum and the highest domestic package offered was of 37 lakhs per annum.
Leading sector in final placement was consulting with companies like Ernst & Young, McKinsey, Accenture Management Consulting, PwC and Deloitte.
Total offers made was 370 and out of 370 the consulting alone made a total of 99 offers. The Chairperson Placements at IIM-K, A F Mathews stated that the institute was able to hold out diverse opportunities to all the students by bringing in many esteemed companies.
Mathew also said,” The students have far exceeded the expectations of the recruiters which resulted in a large number of new recruiters visiting campus. This has led to IIM Kozhikode setting a benchmark in the industry for years to come.”
Some of the big companies like Brand Accelerator, Capita, Frost and Sullivan, Credit Suisse, Caratlane, Bank of America, Shell, Mondelez, Schneider, 3M, McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group and Ernst & Young visited IIM-K campus for the first time. All the new companies made around 100 offers to students.
There is also increase in on- campus and Pre-placement offers by 21%. major companies that took part in placement process are Axis Bank, Deutsche Bank, Citibank, JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, American Express, Yes Bank, Nomura, Fidelity and Edelweiss.
Offers in sales and marketing roles were made by HUL, Heinz, Snapdeal, Idea, Kellogg’s, Maruti, Schneider, Vodafone, Godrej, Arvind Lifestyle, ITC, Marico, 3M, Phillips, Nestle, Infineon and Ananda Bazaar Patrika (ABP). Offers in leadership programmes/strategy domain were made by Airtel, Mahindra, Reliance, Tata Communication, TAS, Madura and RPG.
Offers in the operations roles were made by Tata Steel, Raymond, HCCB, Amazon, Ola Cabs, Shell, Capita, TVS and EXL while companies like Google, Kirusa, Microsoft, Syntel, HCL GEM, Capgemini, ZS Associates, Asian Paints, Mondelez and Mindtree made offers in the IT/ITES and analytics profile.
Cognizant, TCS, Wipro, IBM and Infosys are the regular recruiters who recruit in IT, analytics and operations role.
Kulbhushan Balooni, Director (in-charge) of IIM Kozhikode while commenting on the placements said "IIM Kozhikode has continued to live up to its name in the industry over the years. This had led to many first time recruiters willing to make offers on campus. The regular recruiters have continued to lay their faith in the capabilities of the students".
