The placement process is one of the most important factors that every educational institution must-have. It is the process that decides the future of the students. The Indian Institute of Technology Indore placements are considered to be among the best placements in all other IITs. Top multinational companies and corporate houses are invited for the placements of the students. The activity is conducted for the final year students of all the disciplines of the institution.
Every year a good number of companies come for the placements to recruit some of the top and bright students for their available openings. The number of companies visiting the institution in 2018 constituted to be 51 with the successful placement of 88 students out of the 89 participating students. The average salary of Rs 16 LPA was picked up by the students. The success was with the help and support of the IIT Indore placement cell. It is the role and responsibility of the placement cell to organize and manage the placement activities. The placement cell also looks after the preparation of the students for the selection stages and helps them to confidently face all the levels of selection.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indore has had an encouraging year in terms of placements. The institute say a steady placement season as the economy is now showing recovery after demonetization. IIT Indore witnessed a growth of 15% in the average salary of the students through campus placement jobs.
In charge of media at IIT Indore, Nirmala Menon, said that the institute has recorded a total of 99% placements so far. She added that a few companies are still offering jobs at the IIT Indore. The highest international package stood at 6 million yen and was offered by Works Applications, whereas, the highest domestic package Rs. 36.5 lakh per annum at the IIT Indore was offered by DE-Shaw.
21 of the students opted out of placements in order to appear for the competitive exams like GATE and CAT, whereas, 5 students didn’t appear for placements in order to pursue higher education. One of the student also opted out to start his own venture.
Some of the top recruiters at IIT Indore included Goldman Sachs, Arcesium, DE-Shaw, Tata Motors, ISRO, Intel, Amazon, SalesForce and Directi, Menon informed. The campus placements at IIT Indore had begun in December 2017.
Other popular companies that participated in IIT Indore placement process included Razorpay, MathWorks, Finisar, Oracle, Reliance Jio, Cognizant, Innovaccer, Bharat Seats, KPIT Technologies, Futures First, Capgemini, TESCO and CodeNation.
The institute has not concluded the placements yet and is positive that all the students will be placed by the end of March 2018.
