In the fast changing technology dependant environment, it is essential to continuously hone one’s skills and knowledge. Taking this in consideration, PAT-HUT (the Placement Cell of JMCE) strives to fill the gap by providing skills and knowledge in practical areas that are relevant for the future professionals. Hence we provide comprehensive programs to provide solid foundation for enriching one’s personality and professionalism that is essential to succeed consistently by meeting the industry expectations.

We do offer quality technical program training courses too apart from academics to meet the need of the hour. The programs are designed in such a way that they form a part of the regular curriculum right from the first year of engineering.
The PAT-HUTof JMCE was set up with the single goal of bringing together the student fraternity with leading Corporates. The JMCE Management and the PAT-HUT organizers ply believes in building a p brand identity for the students of JMCE to meet the Industry Expectations. The various activities and events organized by the PAT-HUT are listed below.

SHARP FORUM is an organization which has been created “To foster the inner-talent of Emerging HR Managers”. This organization conducts its associates meeting on third Thursday of every month. The Faculties of Human Resources Department of more than 60 companies form membership of this forum. The HR from these companies participates and discusses the current developments and trends in the Management Industry.

To make our students aware of the current industry happenings and to keep pace with the recent developments, the faculties and students from Engineering Cadre and Management Studies of JMCE attended the SHARP FORUM meetings .

To encourage the Sharp Forum, JMCE sponsored the forum’s meeting .

To promote the awareness among the MBA students about the new amendments in the HR field, one day Industry Oriented Training program was conducted at JMCE premises.

HR CAUCUS is a professional forum comprising of Corporate HRs, Academicians and Students to be brought under one tag to Assess, Brainstorm, Conceptualize, Discuss or Debate to Elucidate the Facets under the Gamut of Human Resource Development (HRD) and Industrial Relation (IR).

To encourage the functioning of such professional forums and to enhance the industry exposure knowledge of the students, JMCE enrolled itself as the Educational Partner of HR CAUCUS by becoming a Platinum Educational Partner.

The faculties and students of JMCE participated in the HR CAUCUS meet held at Le-Meridian in Chennai in which HR persons from more than 300 companies, students and faculties of more than 100 colleges participated.

JMCE College presentation was displayed in the meet.

To enhance the knowledge level of our final year students and to prepare them to meet the industrial standards, a one day Interactive Seminar Session on “How to face an interview” was conducted by Mr. A. Rajanbabu, DGM, HR-Admin, SONA KOYO STEERING PVT LTD, Sriperumbudur , at JMCE premises.
To relieve the final year students from the anguish of interviews, JMCE organized four days workshop in which the final year students were made to attend mock interviews and stress interviews to get the feel of interview sessions and to learn from the experience. This workshop was conducted by PANACHE INDIA .
To train the final year students in Employability Skills such as communication, teamwork, problem solving, initiative and enterprise, planning and organizing, self-management, learning and technology , ten days “Placement Skills Development Training Program” was conducted by ARRULJOTHEE-ACADEMY OF TRAINING, PLACEMENT & CONSULTANCY.To make the final year students practice and be aware of the Industry Recruitment Patterns, a special training program was conducted for 20 days by ARRULJOTHEE-ACADEMY OF TRAINING, PLACEMENT & CONSULTANCY in which the students are taught and made to practice various core company’s aptitude test papers and Group Discussion Topics.
JMCE has signed an MOU with ARRULJOTHEE-ACADEMY OF TRAINING, PLACEMENT & CONSULTANCY considering the training needs of the students for overall development right from the first year of Engineering. The students will be trained in all aspects to make them industry ready when they graduate.
The students are trained in Basic English Grammar, Spoken English, Communication Skills, Soft Skills, Personality Development, Social Skills, General Aptitude, Company Pattern Aptitude and Employability Skills. Adequate practice sessions and periodic assessments are held to test and retrain the students.
JMCE provides Industry endorsed programs covering specialization in Java, C++, Dotnet and other courses to equip the students in technical training. Expertise in these areas of Training lends a visible value addition combined with power of corporate training to the students. Programs mapped to University curriculum in specific IT Technologies are taught under Value Added Programs by ADVISYNC. The Technical Value Added Program for the Mechanical Department is conducted by UNITED CAD CAM.
