Oregon State is known for its incredible natural beauty and affordable living costs. OSU is one of the only two universities to receive Land, Space, Sea and sun grant designations. Undergraduate Scholarships For International Students at Oregon State University

Oregon State University offers various scholarships for UG courses for international students. The list of scholarships offered to international students is mentioned below: 

Provost's Scholarship for Excellence

Eligible freshman candidates applying for UG courses at the university are automatically considered for Provost's Scholarship for Excellence. The eligibility criteria for the scholarship are as follows:

  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in high- school
  • The scholarship is renewed if the candidate maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0 

Value: The scholarship value is $6,000/ year, up to 4 years

Honorary Scholarship for Leadership

Honorary Scholarship for Leadership is offered on merit-basis and proof of leadership quality. International students applying for direct entry must have a minimum GPA of 3.75 to be considered for admission. 

Applicants must submit an essay of 500-1000 words to outline the leadership quality. Students who have a leadership quality get a chance to prove their leadership quality in the first year of their studies at OSU. 

Value: $2,000 one-time scholarship

Continued Success Scholarship

Continued Success Scholarship is offered to students who maintain a minimum GPA in the last term for International Direct (ID), International Year One (IYO) or Undergraduate Transfer Program (UTP). There is no need to fill in a separate application form. Eligible candidates are directly considered for the scholarship. Following table shows minimum eligibility criteria and value of scholarship for Continued Success Scholarship:

Regional Scholarship

Application process for this scholarship is based on merit, closeness to completion of degree and financial needOnly those who meet the following criteria can apply for the scholarship:

  • Should be an undergraduate student with a GPA of 2.5 or above.

  • Should be applying for fall, winter or spring intake.

Deadline for the 2021-22 academic year was March 8, 2021.

Value: $2,500 per term

The eligibility criteria and value of scholarships are subject to change. Limited scholarships are offered at maximum value. 

Graduate Scholarships for International Students

The scholarship for international students enrolled in the graduate studies are as follows:

Regional Scholarship

Regional Scholarship is not merit- based but is offered based on the availability of the scholarship according to the region of the world.

The scholarship is offered once and the value of scholarship is variable.

Continued Success Scholarship    

A Continued Success Scholarship is offered based on the GPA maintained in the last term of Graduate Pathway (GPW) or Master's International Direct (MID) programme. Following table shows minimum GPA and value of scholarship offered:
