SHUATS PhD Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for pursuing a Ph.D. (Doctor of Philosophy) degree at SHUATS (Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences) in India require candidates to possess a Master's degree in a relevant field from a recognized university. Additionally, applicants must have secured a minimum of 55% marks (or an equivalent CGPA) in their postgraduate studies. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories, a relaxation of 5% is provided. In addition to the academic qualifications, aspirants are required to clear the entrance examination conducted by SHUATS and undergo an interview process. The university also considers the candidate's research proposal and prior research experience while evaluating their application.
