IIT Indore Scholarships 2024 - Details, Eligibility, Amount

For its students enrolled in various UG and PG programmes full-time, IIT Indore provides a range of scholarships and financial aid. For IIT Indore scholarship opportunities, the student must meet the minimal eligibility and merit requirements. The following list includes information about some of the IIT Indore popular scholarship programmes.

Central Sector Scholarship Scheme for SC and ST Students 

Central Sector Scholarships are offered to B.Tech first-year SC and ST students at IIT Indore. Students whose parental income from all sources is less than 4.5lakhs per annum are eligible.

Merit-Cum-Means(MCM) Scholarship and Remission of Tuition Fee

Online applications in the prescribed form along with the latest Income Certificate from Tehsildar/ SDO / BDO/ MRO/ Anchal Officer/ Chairman /Executive Officer of Municipal Corporation or Income Tax Return / Certificate issued by Govt. organization in original / are invited for MCM from all B.Tech and M.Sc students . Applications for remission of tuition fee is from New B.Tech i.e. batch 2016 only. Foundation For Excellence

The Indian Institute of Technology Indore Foundation For Excellence or FFE scholarship are given to the students who excel in academics but belong to an economically weaker background. Students are to fill a form through the online medium following the link issued on the official website for the registration of availing this scholarship. It is important to note that students who have already availed scholarships offered through private or governmental sources will not be considered as eligible for FFE scholarship.

IIT Indore FEE scholarship eligiblity criteria

Academic :

• Only for BE / B.Tech/Integrated M. Tech students currently in firstyear
• The scholarship is available only for the first-year students of B.Tech, B.E and integrated M.Tech.
• Students with II PUC or Class 12 with 70% and above will be considered for this scholarship.

Financial :

• The combined family income of interested students must not exceed Rs 1.80 lakh per annum. 
• Combined family income should not exceed  Rs. 1.80 lakh per annum.

NOTE: Students who have already got a scholarship (government or private) are not eligible for FFE scholarship

Other Scholarship

• DAAD Scholarship 
• Commonwealth Scholarship  
• NHFDC Scholarship 
• IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Program

IIT Indore scholarships are given to selected students on the defined criteria prescribed by the institution. Candidates are selected on the basis of their academic merits and/or financial background of the candidates’ family. The interested candidates must deliverall the required information in the correct format in order to become eligible for the scholarships.

Majorly, a total of three IIT Indore scholarships can be availed through the institution. Candidates are however entitled to other related scholarships as well, depending upon the availability and eligibility defined. Details regarding these available scholarships have been given below. Students interested must go in detail to know about the scholarships and are also advised to visit the office in case if they need any other additional information regarding the same.  

Merit – cum – Means (MCM) Scholarship:

• The IIT Indore MCM scholarship is the most famous and recommended scholarship for the students of Bachelor of Technology and Master of Science courses. 
• These scholarships will be provided on the factors considering the academic merits comprising mainly CGPA acquired by the students per semester.
• The marks of the entrance exam and the academic background will also be considered in the case of B.Tech students.
• Approx 20% to 25% of total students per semester of each batch will be considered for the MCM scholarship.
• Family income is also a major factor for MCM scholarships. 
• In order to get this scholarship students’ family income must not exceed Rs 5 lakhs in case of General category and Rs 8 lakhs in case of OBC category.
• Students are advised to visit the college administration for more details on this scholarship.

Samsung Star Scholarship:

• The Scholarship offered by Samsung India Electronics Private Limited is awarded to all the students/s graduate from all the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya.
• The Samsung Star Scholarship will be given only to the ones who have scored excellently well in JEE Advanced.
• This type of scholarship is available only for the students of B.Tech and B.Tech + M.Tech (dual degree) students.

Apart from these IIT Indore scholarships, students can opt for various other scholarships provided by Government or private sources. Students of deprived sections of the society can opt for scholarships given by the different Ministries of Government of India. Ministries working for the development and upliftment of the socially backward classes of the society provide students of such categories with good scholarships. Other defining scholarships for the IIT Indore students consists of the following:
