List of MBA Colleges Accepting 50-60 Percentile in CAT 2024

MBA Colleges Accepting 50-60 Percentile in CAT 2024 include reputed colleges like the School of Management Sciences (SMS), New Delhi Institute of Management, and Asian Business School among others. There are many reputed MBA colleges in India that you can consider if your CAT result 2024 is between the 50-60 percentile. These colleges accepting 50 percentile in CAT don’t give much weightage to CAT scores but focus more on a student’s academic performance, work experience, and other important aspects while granting admission into MBA/ PGDM courses. Thus, even if your CAT score is not ideal, you can refer to these B-schools instead of investing another year in CAT preparation and waiting for MBA admission next year.

78 Percentile in JEE Main Rank 2025

78 Percentile in JEE Main 2025 means what rank?: We have predicted the expected JEE Main 2025 rank for 78 percentile from past trend for JEE Main Rank vs Percentile, and the table provided below is based on this prediction. The rank is an estimation and serves as a reference value to estimate what rank they might have for 78 percentile. When it comes to our analysis, we determine that 78 percentile is at 3,30,000 rank or above. Graduates with ranks in the range of 3,30,000 can’t get admission in any IIIT but there are some really good private B.Tech colleges in India where candidates can get admitted in their desired branch of engineering. At this rank, it's not possible for general category candidates to get admissions into any NITs but OBC/ SC/ ST categories have good chances of getting into a reputable NIT with less competitive branches like Civil or Electrical Engineering, etc through home state quota. Some of the NITs that admit candidates with 78-79 percentile are NIT Sikkim, NIT Manipur, NIT Mizoram, etc.

Dear student,

You are asking if the focal length of a lens is 20 cm, what is its power in diopters?

Calculating Lens Power:

  • Power of a lens is defined as the reciprocal of its focal length when expressed in meters
  • The unit of power of a lens is diopter (D)

Formula:

  • Power (P) = 1 / focal length (in meters)

Given:

  • Focal length (f) = 20 cm = 0.2 meters

Calculation:

  • Power (P) = 1 / 0.2 = 5 diopters

Therefore, the power of the lens is +5 diopters

Why is it positive?

  • A positive power indicates a convex lens (converging lens)
  • Convex lenses are thicker at the center and thinner at the edges
  • They converge light rays to a point called the focus

convex lens

Additional Notes:

  • Concave Lens: If the lens were concave (diverging lens), the power would be negative
  • Units: Always ensure that the focal length is converted to meters before calculating the power in diopters

Therefore, if a lens has a focal length of 20 cm, its power is +5 diopters. This means it is a convex lens capable of converging light rays.
