The Heritage Academy - Admission 2024, Fees, Courses, Placement, Ranking

Overall: I was a student in The Heritage Academy which is one of the many in the Heritage Group of Institutions . While studying in this college I found out that the teachings are good , the professors are well versed in their subjects and the class timings are also good .There is a strong requirement of 75 percent attendence which every student has to meet . So all around there teachings are great ! Now coming to the degree, we were told at the time of the admissions that we will be given BBA Honours degrees at the end of the course structure so we all took admission. Later they told us that we will have to pay 30k more and take MOOC courses from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology in order to get honours degrees . In 2021 in our final year after we students protested against the management and literally fought with them they said that we will have to pay 4k to 5k to do a 4 to 5 days course those who do will get Honours degrees , those who dont will get a normal degree. During the pandemic I did not know about any of this as such so like me many of my fellow batchmates were not able to get Honours degrees which were promised. Also we have never seen anywhere someone get Honours degree in 4 to 5 days of a course. Coming to the placement , the college promises at the time of admission that if you perform good you will get placed which was unlikely in my batch , 99 percent of the students were left unplaced and nobody got any job in my entire batch out of 100 only 2 people were placed that too through a Professors reference, other than that the college has no placement cell for placements it only relies on its professors reference and connections , I think this should be enough on understanding why you should jot join Heritage for BBA .

Placement: The placements are bad , the college has no placement cell. The college only relies on their professors connections. No company came for placement in 2021. Out of 100 only 2 students were placed in Cognizant that too as a software engineer. I find it amusing how BBA students are being hired as software engineers . Still atleast they got a job unlike 98 of us who had to look out for off campus placements . I myself got placed in Amazon through off campus. :) The college is too bad if you look at the college ROI, the return on investment is very low and negative!

Infrastructure: The Heritage Academy is one of the colleges of the Heritage Institutions which is located in Anandapur along with Heritage Law College , Heritage School , Heritage College ,The Heritage Institute of Technology and the Heritage Business School. The campus has the above 6 institutions running in one place so there are alot of students , The campus is beautiful and huge!! still the campus and the colleges interior infrastructure are more than enough for everyone to perform comfortably and without hassle. Although the location of the college is very far and there are no restaurants or cafes nearby.There are only 2 tapris outside the campus where you can go to have something . The college canteen is good but expensive .

Faculty: The faculty is excellent , the professors are top notch in their level of expertise in their respective subjects . There are some professors who actually deserve better places to work than this college , others are just happy that they became a professor in college . The professors are although good in education but if you have to rely on the professors for some counseling they will treat you like you are some school students and they will gossip amongst themselves whatever you share with them . It was high time someone spoke about them .

Hostel: The hostel has no AC , some of the hostels are located inside the campus only , although not many students prefer those hostels because if their size and like I have mentioned earlier that the college campus is located in such a remote place there are no restaurants or cafes nearby the students solely have to depend upon their college canteen which is again expensive.Most of my batch mates where living in hostels away from Anandapur towards Kalikapur where rates are also cheap and there are departmental stores and other necessities available . The college is located at a remote place so it is difficult to commute from there as well .

Overall: This college provides the best campus life to students. The campus has 3 canteens, 1 basketball court, 1 football court, 1 badminton court and a number of cricket courts and multiple barren grounds, a swimming pool as well. The college provides the best placement assistance to students in Kolkata.

Placement: High tech companies like Deloitte, Ey, Mindtree, Wipro, Sap lab, Infosys visited the campus in my batch with an average package of 3 LPA and the highest package of 4.5 LPA offered by EY. They also provide internship opportunities to students.

Infrastructure: All the classrooms are well equipped with projectors, the college has two computer laboratories with sitting capacity of 120 students. The library offers thousands of books to students.

Faculty: All the faculty members are highly qualified, some with Mtech degree and some with phd degree. The maintain a very friendly behaviour with students. They provide extra classes to students before semester exams to better prepare the students for the upcoming semester exams.

Hostel: The campus has multiple hostels for girls. The semesterly rent of the hostel is around 42 thousand. It provides 4 meals a day, rooms are shared by 3. College provides 2 non veg meals in a week and veg meals for the rest days of the week.

Overall: The BBA course at The Heritage Academy Kolkata offers a comprehensive and contemporary curriculum designed to prepare students for the dynamic world of business. Overall: Heritage School Kolkata, established in 2001, is a unique endeavour of the Kalyan Bharti Trust to recreate the ancient Gurukul tradition of India. Nestled in the lap of nature, the school provides an ideal atmosphere for learners to acquire and imbibe skills necessary for their physical, mental, social and intellectual development

Placement: The overall placement status at the Academy for BCA programmes in the current academic year has been highly satisfactory with the majority of eligible students suitably placed. Most of our BBA students opted to join MBA programmes in India and abroad, while a few others joined their family business. The undergraduate students of Media Science mostly opt for higher studies. Some of them have been placed in multinational corporates. Most of the Masters students have received placements outside Kolkata and some of them have gone for doctoral studies

Infrastructure: Completely furnished classroom and full AC labs with great infrastructure in and around the college.Its 10 acre campus is characterized by modern and aesthetic buildings in sylvan surroundings, and a state-of-the-art infrastructure for academics, co-curricular activities, and games & sports.

Hostel: It's was very good service and free is little higher but it's ok as there service And there is 4 time food service and as a girl there is more safety then others hostels, and there is one bad in a room there is 2 more girls to leave there. But yes it is good hotels rooms and PG are not good at all High free rate and they don't give good food services.
