The University of Rajasthan released the University Maharaja College (MAC) UG Fourth Merit List 2026 on, 21 July 2026, at uniofraj.org/merit-lists. Candidates who applied for BSc and BCA programmes at Maharaja College can now log in, select the college and applied programme from the portal dropdown, and view the merit list PDF. The document verification will be done between 22 July and 24 July 2026 at the college campus. 

Maharaja College (MAC), also known as University Maharaja's College, is one of the six constituent colleges of the University of Rajasthan. Established in 1844 by Sawai Ram Singh II as "Maharaja School", the college is one of the oldest higher education institutions in North India. The UGC granted it the status of "College with Potential Excellence" in 2011. Admission to all UG programmes happens through merit based on Class 12 aggregate marks. CUET scores are not required.

How is the Maharaja College Merit List 2026 Prepared?

The University of Rajasthan prepares the Maharaja College UG Merit List 2026 strictly on Class 12 aggregate marks. There is no entrance test for any UG programme at Maharaja College. The aggregate calculation uses subjects relevant to the chosen programme.

Subject weighting by programme:

• BSc (Maths Group): PCM aggregate (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics)
• BSc (Bio Group): PCB aggregate (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
• BSc Honours (any specialisation): Higher cutoff than BSc General, with weight on the Honours subject
• BCA (Self-Financed): Class 12 aggregate, with Mathematics as a mandatory subject
• BA (Arts): Aggregate of best 4 of 5 main subjects in Class 12
• BCom: Aggregate of Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, and English (or equivalent subjects)

Tie-breaking rules:

If two candidates tie on the aggregate, the candidate with higher marks in the core subject ranks above (Mathematics for BCA, Physics for BSc Maths Group, Biology for BSc Bio Group, Accountancy for BCom). If still tied, the older candidate by date of birth places higher in the merit list.

Honours programmes carry a separate merit list with stricter cutoffs. A candidate scoring 60% may qualify for BSc General but miss out on BSc Honours, where cutoffs typically run higher.

What to Do After the Maharaja College Fourth Merit List Release?

The action plan after the merit list comes out depends on whether the candidate's name appears and what programme they have been allotted. Follow the right path below.

If your name appears in the list:

1. Carry all original documents to the campus between 22 July and 24 July 2026
2. Complete verification at the programme counter
3. Pay the admission fee the same day
4. Collect the admission slip and confirm the orientation date

If you got a lower-preference programme: Take admission, as this is the last round of admission; after that, only the spot round allotment list will be released, which makes it tough to get a seat.

If your name isn't in the list: Wait for the Spot round list to be published in the last week of July 2026 with revised cutoffs.

Maharaja College Programmes Covered in the 2026 Merit List

Maharaja College runs a science-and-technology-led UG portfolio. The flagship BSc Maths Group and BSc Bio Group draw the largest seat pools; BCA runs under the Self-Financed Scheme with separate fees.

The 70-year-old Gokhale Hostel sits on the college campus and accommodates around 220 students. Hostel admission runs separately from academic admission and is restricted to Part-I (first-year) students admitted through the merit list. SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates can claim Rajasthan State Government scholarships and fee exemptions on top.

Maharaja College Reservation and Quota 2026

Reservation at Maharaja College follows the University of Rajasthan and Rajasthan State Government norms. Reservation claims must be entered correctly at the time of online application.

2. Verification window for second-list candidates opens for a similar three-day period
3. Classes commence once all admission rounds close, around early August 2026
