The ACT test is held multiple times a year all over the world and in various major cities in India including Ahmedabad, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Indore, Bhubaneswar, Chennai, and Jaipur and so on. Candidates need to choose the ACT test centre during ACT Registration. Students have to give the ACT exam on the test centre’s scheduled test dates by choosing the state or territory. The test centres are given under the city name. 

The ACT Test Dates and ACT Test Centres can be selected by the applicant according to their preference. One should remember that candidates cannot modify or change the ACT test centres in India.

The ACT test centres are spread across major cities in India. The latest and updated list is given below. The same list is subject to change under certain conditions.

The ACT centre administrators have the right to take decisions under unavoidable circumstances. For instance, the test can be cancelled at certain test centres or can be relocated. In such circumstances, the decision will be communicated to students on the previous day. They must therefore keep checking the status of the test centre regularly.

What to Bring to an ACT Test Centre?

ACT Incorporated conducts the ACT exam and lays down certain rules and conducts for the ACT test centre. There are certain things that they are allowed to bring into the test centres while others are prohibited. The list of things that students are allowed to bring to the ACT test centre are:

  • A printout of the admit card will allow them to enter the test centre.

  • A valid photo identity card without which candidates will not be allowed to take the test.

  • Candidates can carry a traditional watch that does not have smart features such as calculators, alarm clocks, calculus and advanced functionalities. However, during the test, the watch should be removed and kept at the workstation.

  • A permitted calculator can be used for the mathematics test.

  • Candidates are prohibited from using cell phones or electronic devices during the test.

Identification Requirements for ACT

Here are the valid identification documents that candidates require to present to enter the ACT test centre. Here is a list of the documents required for the ACT exam:

  • A current official photo ID that is original and issued by the government or school.

  • The identity card must be presented in a hard plastic format as paper or electric format is not accepted.

  • The candidate’s first and last name must match the one mentioned in the registration form for the ACT exam. The photo on the ID should be clear and visible enough to enable the checkers to recognise that it is the test-taker.

  • If a valid identification card is not available, then the candidates must present the student identification form with a photo.

Will there be any facilities for students with disabilities at the test centre?

Candidates with disabilities will have to inform the ACT support team and request any additional support at the test centres. Exceptions will be granted and considered only if it is pre-approved by the ACT authorities.

Does a successful ACT Registration guarantee the test to be conducted on the scheduled date and test?

The registration of the test along with the test centre and date can change as a result of COVID-19 and as per the guidelines specified by the CDC.

Can I change my ACT test schedule if I do not feel well on the test day and cannot take the test?

Yes. you can change the test schedule free of cost by visiting your MyACT account.

My ACT test was automatically cancelled and new test date and centre was allotted. Can I reschedule my test?

Yes. You can reschedule the test by visiting your MyACT account. The test schedule can be changed free of cost.

Is there a possibility of cancellation of the ACT test in the upcoming days?

Due to the current pandemic situation, there will be limited test centres and there is a possibility of cancellation of the tests in the upcoming days.

What are the items that need to be carried to the ACT test centre?

Candidates must carry with them an authentic photo identity card and the ACT hall ticket to the ACT test centre.

Do Students require screening tests before entering the ACT test centre premises?

Yes. Students will have to answer a few questions related to health and well being before entering the ACT test centre premises. The question will be related to any COVID 19 symptoms, testing done for COVID 19, travel history etc.

Will masks be provided at the ACT test centre?

Candidates must carry their own mask to the test centre. In case of failure to carry a mask to the test centre, they will be prohibited from entering the testing facility.

Is social distancing protocols being followed at ACT Test Centre to avoid the spread of COVID-19?

Yes, All ACT test centres will maintain social distancing as per the CDC recommended guidelines.

Candidates must check the official website of the ACT for updates on the tests. They can check for updates on admission and test centre cancellation on their respective MyACT accounts.
