Assam CEE 2018 Eligibility Criteria

Assam CEE 2018 eligibility criteria are a set of terms and conditions that candidates must fulfill in order to appear for the exam. These conditions could be related to age limit,  domicile and qualifying exam passed. Every candidate planning to take the exam must go through each criterion carefully before filling the Assam CEED application form 2018. The application details provided by the candidates should be completely true, as every detail is cross-checked during Assam CEE 2018 counselling process.

Nationality:

  • Candidate should be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam.

Age:

  • Candidate should be between the age group of 17 to 21 years as on August 1, 2018.

  • For B.Sc passed candidates, the upper age limit is 22 years.

  • There is 3 years relaxation for candidates belonging to the reserved (SC/ST) category.

Academic Qualifications:

  • Candidates have to pass the last qualifying examination in ‘one sitting’ without any kind of grace marks in the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English.

  • For every candidate, it is mandatory to score at least 50% marks in aggregate while 45% for SC and 40% for ST including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects together.

Assam CEE 2018 Exam Pattern

Assam CEE 2018 Result

Assam CEE 2018 Result has been announced on 10th May, 2018. The result is available in online mode only on the official website. Candidates have to enter their roll numbers and date of birth in order to check Assam CEE result 2018, which comprises of the scores and ranks obtained by candidates apart from their qualifying status. A merit list is also available along with result, which shows the secured ranks of the candidates. Only successfully qualified candidates are called for Assam CEE counselling 2018 and seats are allotted on merit basis.

Assam CEE 2018 Counselling Process

The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam, organises the counselling of Assam CEE in July every year. Assam CEE 2018 Counselling Process will start from 9th July and end on 14th July 2018. All eligible candidates who have qualified the Assam CEE 2018, will be called for the counselling process. This common entrance examination (CEE) was conducted for the aspirants of engineering. The selected candidates will be allotted seats in the various reputed and recognised participating colleges.

Admission for the first phase of the counselling starting from 9th July, 2018, will allow candidates to select the college of their choice. Candidates will be allowed to make 3 choices of their preferred courses and colleges in Form B. The counselling process is conducted in offline mode. It is mandatory for candidates to be present at the time of counselling, as the absence of the candidates might lead to the cancellation of the candidature.

Assam CEE 2018 Counselling Procedure:

The candidates whose names are displayed in the merit list are given the opportunity to participate in the counselling process of Assam CEE. Let’s look at some of the important processes required for Assam CEE 2018 Counselling.

Registration Process:

  • The first step towards a successful counselling process for Assam CEE 2018 is to get yourself registered at the designated counselling center allotted by the concerned authority.

  • Download the counselling form from the official website and take the print of it.

  • Fill in the details like roll number, name of the candidate, name of the examination, date of birth, marks obtained in Assam CEE 2018, educational qualification, documents to be submitted, nationality, etc.

  • In the Form B, candidates must also fill in three courses as per their preference, in the order assigned by the counselling conducting authority of Assam CEE 2018.

  • Submit the form to the concerned authority.

Document Verification:

  • Along with the registration form, candidates must submit the asked documents.

  • After the registration process gets over, candidates will be called for the document verification individually.

  • Candidates must keep all the original documents, photocopy of which have been submitted along the Form B.

Fee Submission:

  • Candidates will be asked to pay the counselling fee at the time of the counselling.

  • A non-refundable sum of Rs 600 is to be paid by the candidates at the counselling center.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment:

  • Candidates will have to fill in the choice of course and institution as per their preferences mentioned in the Form B.

  • Seats will be allotted on the basis of the marks scored, seat availability and preferences filled by the candidates.

  • It is important for candidates to know that confirmation of the seat allotment will be given only after the completion of the seat allocation process.

Reporting and Admission:

  • For the final admission process, candidates must report to the allotted college at least 30 minutes before the given time.

  • Take all the required document along with recent passport size photographs.

  • Candidates must complete the admission procedure withing the specified date and time prescribed by the concerned authority.

Note:

  • Candidates who wish to change or transfer the institution, can do so by filling the ‘Institution Preference Form’ denoting their order of preferences.

  • Candidates must also know that seats in the changed or transfered institution will be allotted only if there are vacant seats either due to no allotment done against that seat or withdrawal of the candidates. Marks scored in Assam CEE will also play a vital role in the transfer process.

Candidates have to bring the following documents with them during the counselling process.

  • Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) (to be issued by D.C./S.D.O.(Civil) of concerning District/Sub-Division)

  • Caste/Category Certificate (if applicable)

  • Assam CEE admit card 2017

  • Class 10 Admit Card or Pass Certificate for Age Proof issued by Board/Council

  • Class 10 Mark sheet

  • Class 12 Admit Card

  • Class 12 Mark sheet

  • Academic Gap Certificate (if applicable)

  • Character Certificate from Head of the Institution last attended.

  • 4 recent passport-size photograph.

All above-mentioned documents should be carried in original along with self-attested photocopies.

How to Apply for Assam CEE 2018

Assam CEE 2018 application forms were available in the month of March in online mode. Candidates have to register themselves on the official website of the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Assam.

Assam CEE 2018 application form has two sets — Form A and Form B. Form A is the Online Form uploaded by Directorate of Technical Education, Assam for online Application for CEE 2018 while Form B is to be submitted at the time of counselling process.

The step-by-step process of filling the Assam CEE application form 2018 is mentioned below:

Assam CEE Registration:

  • Visit the official website of DTE, Assam.

  • Click on tab 'Click Here to Apply’ mentioned in the notification panel.

  • After that, enter your basic details in order to complete the registration process such as your Name, valid Email Address, Mobile Number, Date of Birth.

  • Then, create a password for application form and click on 'Continue' tab.

Filling of Assam CEE Application Form:

  • In this step, enter your personal and academic details such as Your Name, Parents’ Name, Nationality, Date of Birth, Preferred Course, Gender, Qualifying Examination, Permanent Address, City and other residential details, Mobile Number and Exam Centre.

  • Ensure that the mobile number and email address you provide are correct because they will be required for future admission process.

Uploading of Documents:

  • After filling the application form, you have to upload some documents in support of your eligibility criteria and pass status.

  • You should ensure that the documents you upload are authentic and only in the prescribed format and size.
