The Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) is the conducting body of CG PET 2024 exam. The main purpose of the Board is to provide admission in the various branches of Engineering courses. Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) conducts the CG PET exam in the offline (pen and paper-based) mode and organizes the entrance exam in 27 cities of Chhattisgarh.

CG PET 2024 eligibility criteria will be released by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board along with the information brochure on its official website. Students who are willing to take the CG PET 2024 exam must meet a number of requirements and conditions. 

• Qualifying Exam: Candidates must pass the class 12 or equivalent exam from an accredited board, with mathematics and physics as compulsory subjects. Candidates may have optional subjects like chemistry, biology, biotechnology, and technical vocational courses for their class 12 or equivalent exam.
• Qualifying Marks: Candidates from the general category must have received at least 45% in the qualifying exam. In the qualifying exam, the SC, ST, OBC, female and PwD reserved categories must have at least 40% marks in aggregate.
• Age : As of December 31, 2023, the applicant cannot be younger than 17 years old. However, there is a 30-year maximum age limit. There is three years age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories.  

CG PET 2024 application form has been released in the online mode. Candidates have to first register themselves to proceed to fill the application form of CG PET 2024. In order to register, candidates have to provide important details like name, father's name. communication address, valid phone number and mail ID. Tie-Breaking Rule

In case of two or more candidates scoring the same marks in the CG PET 2024 exam, inter-se-merit will be followed. Mentioned below is the inter-se-merit rule that will be followed by the authorities.

• Candidates having higher scores in mathematics will be given a better merit rank above all.
• If the tie still exists, physics scores will be considered.
• If still there is a tie, candidates older in age will be given priority. If the candidates' age is also the same, their scores from class XII will be considered.

Directorate of Technical Education Chhattisgarh will conduct the CG PET counselling 2024 tentatively from August 2024 in online mode. CG PET 2024 counselling process will be conducted online in three rounds. The counselling process includes steps like choice filling, document verification, fee payment, seat allotment, reporting etc. CG PET seat allotment 2024 will be done based on the ranks obtained by the candidates, seats availability and choices locked by the candidates.

Step 1: Registration 

Candidates have to register for CG PET 2024 by providing the necessary details.

Step 2: Upload Required Documents 

In the second step, candidates are required to upload the required documents in the specified format.

Step 3: Fee Payment  

The CG PET counselling fee has to be paid in the online mode through credit card /debit card or internet banking facilities

Step 4: Choice Filling & Locking 

• The candidates have to fill the preferred choice of institute and courses 
• Candidates will have the option to add, delete, modify and rearrange their choices mentioned
• Candidates have to lock their choices before the deadline and take a print out along with the filled choices

Step 5: Document Verification  

After the choice locking process is completed, candidates allotted seats will have to report to the allotted centres for the document verification process. Every student should carry their original documents along with photocopies to the facility centres. The authorities will provide a receipt cum acknowledgement slip to the candidates after the document verification process is completed.
