GPAT 2019 Counselling Process

GPAT 2019 Counselling Process will start tentatively in the third week of February 2019. Those who successfully pass GPAT 2019 with qualifying scores will be eligible for counselling.

  • Candidates can participate in the GPAT counselling organised by the institutions individually.
  • The allotment of seats is based on candidates' scores in the entrance exam.
  • On the basis of GPAT scores 2019, candidates are required to participate in the admission process of respective institutions.
  • A candidate has to take certain set of important documents to the counselling centre such as:
    • GPAT 2019 scorecard
    • Any government approved identity card (Voter ID card, Aadhar card, etc.)
    • Academic documents i.e. Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets, migration certificates, graduation marksheets and provisional certificate from a recognised university.
  • If a candidate does not have all the mentioned documents above or fails to provide any of it, his/her candidature will be cancelled and he/she may be asked to leave the GPAT 2019 counselling centre. Consequently, he/she will lose his/her seat.
  • GPAT 2019 Seat Allotment is purely done on the basis of the announced merit list as well as marks secured in the corresponding examination.

GPAT 2019 Participating Institutes 

NTA organises the GPAT examination for offering admissions in 841 colleges across the country. The participating institutes of GPAT 2019 will accept the scores of the PG admission test and offer admission in PG programmes of Pharmacy. Candidates can view the following list of popular participating institutes of GPAT 2019:

  • National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali
  • Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara
  • National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Hyderabad
  • Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research, New Delhi
  • Andhra University, Vishakhapatnam
  • Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi
  • University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chandigarh
  • Jadavpur University, Kolkata
  • Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai
  • Department of Pharmaceutics, IIT BHU, Varanasi

1. Which universities/institutes consider GPAT scores for admission?

All AICTE approved Institutes / Departments of Universities are expected to accept GPAT scores. The specific notifications issued by Universities and State Governments are available on the GPAT official website

2. Will GPAT score be considered for admissions to Part Time MBA courses?

GPAT score is considered for admission to all AICTE approved part-time programmes.

3. Will there be a sectional cut-off in the examination?

No. There is no sectional cut-off in the GPAT examination.
