GPAT 2019 Counselling Process

GPAT 2019 counselling will commence tentatively on February 28, 2019. The applicants who qualify for the GPAT entrance exam will be further shortlisted for the GPAT counselling procedure. The candidate needs to carry a set of important documents to the counselling center and in case he/she fails to do so, his/her candidature will be cancelled and the candidate may be asked to quit GPAT 2019 counselling center. This will lead to the candidate losing his/her seat.

GPAT 2019 seat allotment is done on the basis of the announced merit list as well as the marks obtained in the examination.Details of GPAT counselling process, required documents etc are explained in detail below. There are 4 stages in the counselling process which are described below.

GPAT 2019 Counselling Details

Document Verification stage

  • This is the first stage wherein candidates will have to check rank wise counselling dates. The dates will be available on the official website after the exam gets over.
  • Candidates need to carry all important documents for verification
  • They will have to report at the GPAT counselling venue
  • Failure to bring the original documents will lead to the cancellation of a candidate’s candidature

Web Options

  • In this stage, after the completion of the document process, candidates need to visit the official website
  • On the official website, there will be a link related to ‘Web Options Entry Portal’
  • A list of colleges will be displayed
  • Candidates can fill the options with the institutes of their choice
  • Filling in the maximum number of preferences will increase the chances of getting the seat in the college of a candidate’s choice
  • Candidates will have to save and lock their choices
  • After locking, details cannot be modified or altered
  • Take a printout of the same

Seat Allotment

  • Seats will be allocated to the candidates on the basis of GPAT 2019 score
  • Candidates will get a seat in the Institute of their choice only if they are included in the merit list and have a good score in GPAT 2019
  • GPAT seat allotment order 2019 can be downloaded by visiting the GPAT official website

Reporting at the allotted institute

  • Upon allotment of the GPAT seats, candidates need to report to the allotted college with a set of important certificates
  • They need to pay the admission fees to get admission in that college

  • GPAT Rank Card 2019
  • GPAT Counselling Admit Card (Original)
  • 12th class mark sheet (Original)
  • 10th class mark sheet (Original)
  • Character certificate (Original)
  • Graduation or Provisional Certificate (Original)
  • Category Certificate for SC/ST/OBC candidates
  • Medical documents (Original)
  • Recent passport size photographs
  • Domicile certificate
  • Any government approved identity card (Aadhar card, voter ID card)

GPAT 2019 Participating Institutes 

NTA organises the GPAT examination for offering admissions in 841 colleges across the country. The participating institutes of GPAT 2019 will accept the scores of the PG admission test and offer admission in PG programmes of Pharmacy. 1. Which universities/institutes consider GPAT scores for admission?

All AICTE approved Institutes / Departments of Universities are expected to accept GPAT scores. The specific notifications issued by Universities and State Governments are available on the GPAT official website

2. Will GPAT score be considered for admissions to Part Time MBA courses?

GPAT score is considered for admission to all AICTE approved part-time programmes.

3. Will there be a sectional cut-off in the examination?

No. There is no sectional cut-off in the GPAT examination.
