What is GUJCET?

Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is an entrance exam conducted at the state level every year. Through this examination, eligible candidates seeking admission to Undergraduate Engineering and Pharmacy courses can get into top government and private institutes across Gujarat. The GUJCET exam and all other procedures related to its conduct and admission are administered by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). 

About GUJCET Conducting Body

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB or GSEB) is a government of Gujarat body responsible for the registration and administration of Higher Secondary and Secondary schools in the state of Gujarat. The GSEB conducts 2 main examinations - SSC or Secondary School Certificate exam for Class 10 and the HSC (Higher Secondary (School) Certificate) examination for Class 12. In 2016, GSEB replaced the state-level entrance exam for Pharmacy and Engineering courses from JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination - Main) to GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test).

GUJCET 2024 Counselling

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is the organizing body responsible for conducting GUJCET Counselling. The GUJCET 2024 Counselling will include steps, such as online registration, document verification, choice filling, seat allotment, acceptance fee payment, and finally, reporting to the allotted colleges. Aspirants willing to take part in the GUJCET 2024 Counselling will have to complete the registration process and get the documents verified first. The allocation of seats will be done based on the candidate's preferences, rank, and the availability of seats. Those who will be assigned seats during the GUJCET 2024 Seat Allotment will have to pay the required fees to confirm their admission.

GUJCET 2024 Merit List

The GUJCET Merit List 2024 is released by ACPC based on the marks obtained by candidates in the exam. Candidates will be able to check their GUJCET rank mentioned in the merit list once it is published on the official website - Students must note that the final merit list of GUJCET 2024 qualifiers will be released after taking into account the challenges raised by candidates against the provisional merit list.

The details pertaining to the GUJCET 2024 Merit List can be checked below -

  • The first merit list will include the names and ranks of candidates appearing in the GUJCET exam. The list will be prepared giving 60% weightage to marks obtained in PCM and 40% weightage to the percentile marks obtained in the GUJCET entrance exam.

  • The second GUJCET merit list will be prepared for candidates taking the JEE Main exam. The merit will be prepared giving 60% weightage to marks obtained in PCM and 40% weightage to the percentile marks obtained in JEE Main.

GUJCET Participating Institutes 2024

GUJCET Participating Institutes 2024 are the colleges/institutes offering admission to qualified candidates based on their ranks through the counselling process of GUJCET. Candidates taking part in GUJCET Counselling 2024 will be allotted seats in any of the participating institutes based on their merit and preferences. The GUJCET 2024 Participating Colleges include a list of some of the finest and reputed institutes which where one can get admission based on their scores. ACPC will release the official list of colleges participating in the upcoming counselling session of GUJCET 2024. However, it must be noted that as per the previous year's data, there are approximately 112 institutes that offer an estimated 68,343 UG Engineering seats to qualifying candidates. 

GUJCET Cutoff 2024

The GUJCET Cutoff 2024 round 1 has been released online on the official website by ACPC. GUJCET 2024 Cutoff refers to the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate must obtain to be eligible for admission to the various participating institutes. Candidates securing the higher cutoff scores thus have better chances of getting admission to their desired colleges and courses. ACPC takes into account several factors, such as the total number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam in the given year, the total number of seats available, the previous cutoff trends etc. to determine the GUJCET qualifying cutoff. 

GUJCET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Candidates are advised to review the detailed eligibility criteria before applying for the GUJCET 2024 Exam. The eligibility requirements for GUJCET are determined along multiple parameters, such as the candidate's age limit, nationality, domicile, educational qualifications, qualifying marks, etc. Applicants failing to meet any of the conditions laid down by the conducting body shall be considered ineligible for GUJCET 2024 Registration.   • Educational Qualification: To apply for the test, students must have completed their 12th Intermediate or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • Minimum Marks: To be eligible, applicants in the general category must score at least 45% (40% for candidates in the reserved category).
  • Subjects Required: Candidates must pass class 12th intermediate or equivalent exam with PCM/PCB for pharmacy courses and PCM for engineering courses.
  • Appearing: Candidates who will be sitting in their final year will also be able to apply for the GUJCET 2024 test.

GUJCET Application Form 2024

 Candidates must log in to the portal and register themselves with a valid email ID and password to access the GUJCET application form 2024

Follow the steps given below to fill out the GUJCET application form 2024.

Step 1: Complete GUJCET 2024 Registration

Candidates must visit the GUJCET  2024 official website at and click on the registration link. Candidates must provide basic information such as their name, mobile number, and email address while registering. The first column contains the surname, student name, and guardian name. Select a gender (male or female), provide a valid cellphone number, enter a valid email ID, and set an appropriate password After that confirm your password. Enter the captcha code. Click the "Register" button.  Complete the verification procedure.

After successfully registering, applicants will get a user ID/application number and password via their registered cellphone number and email address. 

Step 2: Pay the GUJCET 2024 Application Fee

Following the successful GUJCET 2024 registration process, candidates must pay the GUJCET application fees. The fees can be paid online with a credit or debit card, through Internet banking, or at any SBI branch. The GUJCET 2024 application fee is the same for all groups. 

Click the "Fee Payment" option. Choose a payment option - credit card, debit card, or net banking using the SBI EPay channel.

Once the application fee is paid, you will be sent to the next page to fill out the application form. Candidates should keep their payment information to avoid any payment-related complications with the GUJCET 2024 application form.

Step 3: Fill the GUJCET 2024 Application Form

Following the payment of fees, applicants must complete the GUJCET application form 2024. The information in the application form must be filled out properly and in accordance with the official documents. 

Candidates need to fill out the following date of birth, category, gender, family income, home address, email address, details about qualifying exam like roll number, percentage and board, cell phone number, etc. 

Step 4: Upload the Photo and signature.

Following completion of the application form, candidates must provide scanned pictures of their passport-size colored photos and signatures. 

Step 5: Submit the GUJCET Application Form

The GUJCET 2024 application form will be instantly submitted after the photographs have been successfully uploaded. Candidates must download and print the filled-out application form. The print copy of the completed GUJCET application form 2024 must be kept secure until the end of the admission process, as it will be required throughout the counselling process, together with other related documents. 

GUJCET 2024 Admit Card

The GUJCET 2024 Hall Ticket has been issued only to those candidates who complete the application process and submit the fees before the deadline. To download the admit card for GUJCET 2024, candidates will have to provide their registered mobile number, email ID, date of birth, GUJCET application number, and similar details. All students must download and carry a copy of the GUJCET Admit Card 2024 to the exam centre to be eligible to sit for the entrance test.

GUJCET Answer Key 2024

The GUJCET 2024 Answer Key was released on the official website on April 9, 2024. GSEB will publish the answer key for GUJCET 2024 in two phases. First, the preliminary answer key was released along with the GUJCET 2024 Response Sheet. Candidates will be able to check their responses and verify the same with the official answer keys provided by the authorities. They can accordingly calculate their marks and credit their GUJCET 2024 scores. If students come across any error or discrepancy in the answer keys, they may raise objections against the same by submitting a certain amount as a fee. Dear Student,

No, you are not eligible for the GUJCET home state quota. For the home state quota, the candidate must have completed his/ her Class 10th & 12th from Gujarat Board. Candidates who have passed Class 10th & 12th from the CBSE board are eligible for the entrance exam. However, he/ she must have studied in a school located in Gujarat state as the domicile rule.
