IGNOU B.Ed Entrance Exam 2026 eligibility criteria must be known to the students seeking to apply for this admission test. Here are the main pointers:

  • Students must have obtained at least 50% marks in a Bachelor’s degree and/ or in the Master’s degree in Social Science/ Commerce/ Humanities/ Science. 
  • Those who have completed a Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with a specialisation in Mathematics and Science with a minimum of 55% marks or similar qualifications can apply for IGNOU B.Ed.
  • Additionally, they must be trained in-service teachers in the area of elementary education
  • They must have completed an NCTE-approved teacher education programme via Regular mode/ Face-to-Face mode.
  • Also, there will be a relaxation of 5% in minimum eligibility for applicants from SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ PWD as per the Central Government rules. Kashmiri Migrants and war widow applicants will also be provided reservations based on the rules of the university.
