JCECE 2018 Exam Pattern

JCECE 2018 exam pattern will give information related to the total topics and chapters covered, the number of questions asked in the exam, time duration, marking scheme as well as the section-wise distribution of marks. The exam comprises of multiple-choice type questions, wherein the candidates have to mark their answers on an OMR answer sheet.

Detailed Exam Pattern of JCECE 2018

  • JCECE comprises of total 150 questions.

  • JCECE 2018 will be conducted in an offline mode.

  • The questions cover subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology/Biotechnology.

  • Each question carries 1 Mark. For each correct response, candidates will get 1 mark. However, for each incorrect response, 1/4 mark will be deducted from the total score.

  • No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated on the OMR sheet. If the applicants are not sure about their answers, they should avoid attempting such questions.

  • Duration of JCECE 2017 will be of 3 hours.

  • Language of question paper will be in English and Hindi.

  • The candidate get no marks for unanswered questions.

JCECE 2018 Marking Scheme 

  • Marking Scheme for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subject Group- Candidates belonging to this group will have to answer 150 questions.

  • Marking Scheme for Physics, Chemistry and Biology Subject Group-Candidates belonging to this group will also have to answer 150 questions.

  • Marking Scheme for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics Subject Group-The total questions of the exam will be 200 for this subject group of the candidates.

  • There will be equally divided marks for all subjects.

  • 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.

  • There is no deduction of marks for unanswered papers.

  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
