The questions cover subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology/Biotechnology.
There is a negative marking in the JCECE exam.
Each question carries 1 Mark. For each correct response, candidates will get 1 mark. However, for each incorrect response, a 1/4 mark will be deducted from the total score.
No deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated on the OMR sheet. If the applicants are not sure about their answers, they should avoid attempting such questions.
The duration of JCECE 2024 will be of 3 hours.
Language of question paper will be in English and Hindi.
The candidate gets no marks for unanswered questions.

Marking Scheme for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Subject Group- Candidates belonging to this group will have to answer 150 questions.
Marking Scheme for Physics, Chemistry and Biology Subject Group-Candidates belonging to this group will also have to answer 150 questions.
Marking Scheme for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics Subject Group-The total questions of the exam will be 200 for this subject group of the candidates.
There will be equally divided marks for all subjects.
1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
There is no deduction of marks for unanswered papers.
0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
