About Kerala LLB 2023 (Stray Vacancy Filling Round 2 Closed)

Kerala LLB 2023: The Kerala LLB 2023 counselling process was conducted by the CEE Kerala to shortlist candidates for admission to the offered programmes.

Kerala LLB 2023 for 3 Year LLB: Kerala LLB 2023 counselling process for the stray vacancy filling phase 2 concluded on November 29 for the 3-Year LLB.

Kerala LLB 2023 for 5 Year LLB: For 5-Year LLB, the stray vacancy filling the 2nd round also closed on November 29. 

Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) is conducted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala for students seeking admission into both Integrated Five-Year LLB course and Three-Year LLB courses in the state of Kerala. The candidates who will clear the examination can participate in the KLEE centralised allotment process (CAP) for the KLEE 2023 seat allotment in law colleges. There are 4 law colleges and around 20 private self-financing law colleges in Kerala that participate in CAP. The exam will be conducted in online mode.

Kerala LL.B Entrance Exam Conducting Body

The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala is responsible for conducting the Kerala LL.B entrance exam for providing admissions into both Integrated Five-Year and Three-Year LL.B courses offered by various Government and Private/Self-Financed Law college in the state of Kerala. The candidates after completing their respective courses will be eligible to be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocates Act of 1961.

Kerala LLB 2023 Entrance Exam Application Process

The KLEE application form is provided online at cee.kerala.gov.in. Interested candidates have to fill up and submit the online application form by the mentioned date. In the application process, the students need to register themselves, fill up the form, pay the fees, upload images and certificates and print the acknowledgement form. While filling up the application form, candidates must be aware of providing only the correct and valid details. The application process includes:

Kerala LLB 2023 Entrance Exam Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for 3-year and 5-year LLB courses are discussed below. The candidates who want to apply for the KLEE 2023 3-year and 5-year LL.B courses must be Indian citizens. 

Kerala 3-year LLB 2023 Eligibility Criteria

The candidates who want to apply for the 3-year LL.B course must have completed their graduation from the University of Kerala or any other board which is recognized by Kerala University. General candidates need to have at least 45% aggregate marks in their graduation, whereas the economically backward candidates should have 42% followed by SC and ST category candidates who should have 40% to appear for the exam. There is as such no lower age limit for the candidates to apply for the examination but the upper age limit is decided by the Supreme Court. 

Kerala 5-year LLB 2023 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed their secondary examination (10+2) with first class from the Higher Secondary Board of Kerala or a recognized board accepted by Kerala University. Only those candidates who are of Kerala origin appear for the KLEE 2023. Interested candidates should have 45% aggregate marks, economically backward class candidates should have passed with 42% marks and SC/ST candidates should have scored 40%. The minimum age of the candidates must be 17 years and the upper age limit will be decided by the Honourable Supreme Court. 

Kerala LLB 2023 Entrance Exam Syllabus

Candidates appearing for the Kerala LLB 2023 entrance exam must be well versed with the complete syllabus. The 3-year LL.B and 5-year LL.B syllabi are the same but the difficulty level of the examination might differ. Candidates should note that the 3-year LL.B exam is a graduate level examination whereas the 5-year LL.B exam is an undergraduate level examination.

Kerala LLB 2023 Entrance Exam Pattern

Kerala LLB 2023 entrance exam pattern is same for both 3-year LL.B and 5-year LL.B.

  • The KLEE 2023 will be held in online (computer-based test) mode.
  • A total of 200 questions are asked in the examination.
  • The total marks for the examination are 600.
  • There are altogether 4 sections.
  • The questions asked in the exam are objective type.
  • The total time duration for both the exams is 2 hours.
  • For every correct answer +3 will be awarded and -1 for every wrong answer.

The admit card for the Kerala LL.B 2023 entrance exam will be available on the official website, cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates must remember that the admit cards will not be sent by post.
