LPUNEST Eligibility Criteria 2026

LPUNEST eligibility criteria is released by Lovely Professional University on its official website. Being a national-level examination, the LPUNEST 2025 exam has plenty of applicants every year so the exam conducting authority is pretty strict about the eligibility criteria. The candidates must satisfy all the eligibility criteria of LPUNEST 2026 to be able to apply for the LPUNEST exam 2026. 

The eligibility for LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test includes details of nationality, age requirements, and educational qualification required to apply for the exam. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility norms before applying for LPUNEST 2026. The university sets the minimum criteria for candidates, and if they meet the below-given exam eligibility norms, they will be able to write the exam. LPUNEST is an online examination which is conducted in 4 phases every year. 

LPUNEST 2026 Detailed Eligibility Criteria

The LPUNEST eligibility criteria are prescribed by the LPU (Lovely Professional University) and have been divided into Nationality eligibility, Age limit criteria, Educational Requirement and Marks required. Check the course-wise LPUNEST eligibility criteria for 2026 below:

Nationality: Only Indian nationals will be eligible to apply for LPUNEST.

Age: There is no stipulated upper or lower age limit notified by the university for admission to UG and PG courses.

Academic Requirements:

• For admission in undergraduate programs such as B.Tech, B.Tech (LE), Law, etc., candidates should have completed 10+2 from a recognised board (CBSE / ICSE / State Board / other councils).

• For admission in postgraduate programmes such as MBA, or M.Tech, candidates should have completed Graduation from a University or Institution recognized by UGC or some other authorized body.

Marks Required:

• For admission to B.Tech: Candidates should pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent examinations with Physics, Mathematics and English subjects. 

• For admission to B.Tech (LE): Candidates should pass with 60% aggregate marksin Diploma (Engg.) in any discipline within 3 years after 10th or B.Sc.(Non-Medical) or B.Sc.(Computer Science) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. 

• For admission in B.Design and B.Sc. (Design): The candidate should pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 With English or any equivalent examination.

• For BHMCT, B.Sc (Hotel Management), B.Sc (Airline, Tourism, and Hospitality): Candidate should pass with 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 or any equivalent examination with English.

• For admission in B.Pharm: Candidates should pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry & either Maths or Biology or equivalent examination.

• For admission in BPT and Dual degree, BPT-MPT: Candidate should pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or equivalent examination.

• For admission in B.Sc. (Medical Lab. Technology): Candidate should pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 with English, Chemistry and either Maths or Biology or Biotechnology or 2 yrs. MLT Diploma after 10th or equivalent. 

• For admission in MBA, MBA (Hons.) and MBA (Specialised): The candidate should pass with 55% aggregate marks in Graduation or equivalent, subject to qualifying for the Interview.

• For admission in B.A., LL.B (Hons.); B.Com., LL.B (Hons.) and BBA, LL.B (Hons.): Candidate should pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 in any stream or equivalent examination with English.

• For LL.B: Candidate should pass with 50% aggregate marks in Graduation.

• For admission in B.Sc (Hons) agriculture: Candidate should pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate with English, Physics, Chemistry & either Maths or Biology or Forestry OR 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) OR 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent.

LPUNEST MBA 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Any candidate applying for MBA admissions at Lovely Professional University must fulfil the eligibility criteria mentioned here.

• The candidate must be an Indian National to be eligible for LPUNEST (MBA).

• The candidate must have completed or must be appearing in the final year exams of a bachelor's degree course from a UGC-recognized institute.

Depending on the MBA specialization chosen by the candidate, the following eligibility criteria in the qualifying exam have been specified by the university.

For MBA / MBA (Hons.) / Financial Markets / Supply Chain & Logistics/ International Business / Hospital & Healthcare Management / Tourism & Hospitality / MBA (with International Exposure) / MBA (with Talentedge)

• The candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree in any discipline or equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks, subject to qualifying any of LPUNEST / CAT / CMAT / MAT / XAT / NMAT and an Interview.

FOR MBA (Business Analytics)

• The candidate must have passed BE/ BTech (in any discipline) OR BSc (PCM)/ BSc (Maths)/ BA (Economics/ Maths/ Statistics) with 55% aggregate marks. OR passed BCom/ BCom (Hons)/ BBA/ BCA or equivalent, subject to qualifying any of LPUNEST/ CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ NMAT AND interview.

Additionally, the following criteria apply to all of the courses.

Candidates who have completed the following courses are also eligible to apply for LPUNEST.

• Chartered Accountancy (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)

• Company Secretary (CS) from the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI)

• Cost & Management Accountancy (CMA) from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI)

Relaxation in Aggregate Percentage

• 5% relaxation in the minimum required aggregate percentage is given to candidates from North-East states and Sikkim as well as to Defence Personnel, their wards and Wards of Kashmiri Migrants. Candidates falling under these categories are required to have 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam.

Exemption from LPUNEST

• Candidates who have qualified in any of CAT/ CMAT / XAT / MAT / NMAT are exempted from appearing for LPUNEST.
