MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Seat Allotment and Counselling Invite List

The conducting body will welcome online applications from CET candidates for the Centralised Admission Process to seek admission to the B.Ed programme. A non-zero score in MAH B.Ed CET 2024 is necessary for this two-year full-time regular course. Candidates seeking admission to Professional Courses for Maharashtra State Candidature Seats, All India Candidature Seats, Minority Quota Seats, and Supernumerary Seats for Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature must apply to the Competent Authority for admission through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

The Candidate must provide the appropriate certificates, as specified by the respective Competent Authority, together with the application to the admitting College at the time of admission.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Centralised Admission Process (CAP)

Candidates will be enrolled to the Unaided Private Professional Educational Institution through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP).

The stages of CAP will be as follows:

  • Display or publication of an information brochure by the Competent Authority. 
  • The brochure or the web page link will have an online application form for participation in the Centralised Admission Process by the Candidate.
  • Display or publication of provisional merit lists, filing of any grievances, and display or publication of final merit lists.
  • Seat Matrix of available Category Seats for CAP Rounds I and II.
  • Filling out and confirming an Online Option Form with an Institution's preferences before CAP Round I.
  • The State CET Cell will display CAP Round I and II provisional allotments indicating the allotted institute.
  • Candidates may enter their preferences for Institutes in the order recommended by the Competent Authority.
  • Once confirmed, the option form will be considered for allotment in CAP Rounds I and II.
  • Candidates are urged to review the declared information and give options of the maximum number of institutions of their choice.

A candidate may 'Freeze' or 'Float' their choice of the academic institute for the following rounds of seat distribution, if any, before accepting the allotted seat during the CAP, as indicated below. Candidates will be able to freeze and float after logging in

Freeze - 

In the Freeze option, applicants choose the allocated seat and refuse to participate in subsequent seat allocation rounds. Such candidates will not be considered in the next admission rounds.

Float - 

In the float option, candidates approve the given seat and confirm that if admission to a preferred seat at any Institution is offered, they will accept it. Aspirants who opt for the float option will be considered in the second round of admission.

If a candidate chooses the Float option, they must pay a non-refundable online fee against the seat processing fee, regardless of their category. Candidates will not be required to report to the college assigned to them to float their admission. Only those who wish to confirm their admission must report to the assigned college with original papers and two sets of self-attested copies supplied in the online application form and pay the specified costs.

The float option will not be available for Round III seats.

Documents Required after MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Seat Allotment

The documents required for verification after MAH B.Ed CET 2024 seat allotment are mentioned below: 

  • Print out of the counselling form.
  • MAH B.Ed CET 2024 application form and admit card.
  • Class 10th and 12th mark sheets.
  • Rank Card.
  • Category certificate (if applicable).
  • Character certificate.
  • Migration certificate.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Seat Allocation Guidelines for Candidates and Institutes

Before completing the Online Centralised Application Process Form, all candidates are advised to download the CAP Information Brochure and carefully read it. They are also urged to consult the CET information brochure.

  • All candidates are notified via online mode.
  • Candidates are recommended to remain updated with the latest Notifications and schedule changes.
  • Candidates are urged to get assistance from local colleges of education to complete the Online CAP form / Option Form if desired.
  • Once candidates fill out an application, they cannot withdraw, edit, or change the application under any circumstances.
  • Fees paid for category change will not be returned under any circumstances, nor will they be put in reserve for the following year's CAP.
  • Candidates must upload the required documents.
  • All participating institutes / colleges are advised to utilise their IT infrastructure / computer facility to assist candidates in filling out the online CAP form.
  • All participating institutes in the CAP Process should also download and keep the CAP Information Brochure on file in their office, as well as upload all CET CELL notices to their college website.
  • The information on the college website and submitted to the Directorate of Higher Education for college approval for admission should be reasonably comparable.
  • Candidates whose graduation and postgraduate results are still to be released by the university will be adjusted in the round in which they will fill out the form and submit it online per the Notifications rules.
  • Participating colleges will serve as reporting centres. They will verify the candidates' documents and compare them to the information in the Provisional Admission Letter. 
  • The colleges will verify the candidates' documents and tally them with the details in the Provisional Admission Letter.
  • The details filled in the online application, and documents uploaded by the candidate online CAP form, must match the original / self-attested documents of the candidate as per the eligibility criteria mentioned in the CAP and CET information brochure.
  • If a difference is discovered, the applicant will be directed to modify the option form at the appropriate time as per the counselling schedule.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Allocation of Seats

The percentage of seats allocated to various sorts of candidates in State Level categories shall comply with Government policy.

Institutional Quota Seats - There are no Institute-level quotas for education colleges.

NRI or Foreign Student or OCI or PIO Candidature - The Competent Authority may fill up to 5% of the seats with NRI, Foreign Student, OCI, or PIO candidates. The remaining seats for this NRI, Foreign Student, OCI or PIO quota remain unfilled.

Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature - The number of seats for this quota will be determined by the Government's policy. The Competent Authority shall fill these seats within the Course's sanctioned intake limit.

The remaining seats are allocated based on Maharashtra State Candidature Seats, All India Candidature Seats, and Minority Quota Seats.

MAH B.Ed CET 2024 Seat Allotment Reservations

All of the reservations listed below are only available to Maharashtra State candidates who meet the eligibility conditions stated by the respective authorities from time to time. The percentage of seats designated for applicants from Maharashtra's backward class groups is shown below. The percentage of reservations refers to the proportion of seats allocated for Maharashtra candidates under the CAP. 

If they have the necessary documents, backward class candidates must claim the category to which they belong while submitting their CAP application form. Candidates with caste certificates from states other than Maharashtra will be considered Open Category candidates. If they applied for CET under the reserved category, they must pay the difference in fees to transfer to the open category.

Here are some crucial details regarding the MAH B.Ed merit list - 

Assignment of Merit Number and Tie-Breaker

The merit list for the Candidates for Admission to First Year B.Ed Course must be organised based on marks or score earned by the candidate in the MAH B.Ed CET 2024 conducted by the State CET Cell.

In the possibility of a tie, the comparative merit of Candidates shall be settled as per the below rules -

  • Candidates with a higher score in the Qualifying Examination will be preferred in case of a tie.
  • If the situation remains the same, the aspirants with a higher score in aggregate at HSC or equivalent examination will be chosen.
  • If the tie-breaker is not yet resolved, the applicants with a higher score in aggregate at SSC or equivalent examination will be selected.


All qualified candidates who submit an application form on or before the deadline for admission through CAP will be assigned a merit number. All eligible candidates seeking admission to English Medium Colleges of Education in Maharashtra shall be assigned a merit number based on the CET score secured collectively in CET and ELCT.

Change of Marks due to Verification

Suppose the qualifying examination marks are changed due to verification and are duly confirmed by the respective Competent Authority or Board. In that case, the changes must be immediately submitted to the Authority for admission through CAP or its approved agents. However, the impact of such a modification will be considered only in the subsequent rounds of admission.
