The RC section of SNAP evaluates the ability of the candidates to grasp the central theme of the passage, critically analyze and evaluate the arguments or points of view in the passage, and recognize specific facts or explanations presented to support the main ideas. Even though things are not explicitly stated, candidates must also be able to identify the author's tone, attitude, or perspective in the passage and draw logical conclusions from the information provided in the passage. The Vocabulary section of SNAP evaluates the knowledge of candidates regarding individual words and their word meanings, including their synonyms and antonyms. This section also assesses if candidates can understand the relationships between different words and identify similar relationships between other word pairs; are acquainted with common idiomatic expressions and their meanings; understand the roots, prefixes, and suffixes of unfamiliar words to decipher their meanings; and distinguish between words that have similar sound but have different meanings or spellings, among others. Reading newspapers, magazines, and quality literature helps in enhancing expertise in grammar. Candidates must develop time management strategies by taking multiple full-length SNAP mock tests 2024 under timed conditions in the final phase.
