The RC section of SNAP evaluates the ability of the candidates to grasp the central theme of the passage, critically analyze and evaluate the arguments or points of view in the passage, and recognize specific facts or explanations presented to support the main ideas. The Vocabulary section of SNAP evaluates the knowledge of candidates regarding individual words and their word meanings, including their synonyms and antonyms. This section also assesses if candidates can understand the relationships between different words and identify similar relationships between other word pairs; are acquainted with common idiomatic expressions and their meanings; understand the roots, prefixes, and suffixes of unfamiliar words to decipher their meanings; and distinguish between words that have similar sound but have different meanings or spellings, among others. In this phase, candidates must brush up on advanced grammar topics like active and passive voice, conjunctions, collective nouns, indefinite pronouns, perfect and perfect continuous tenses, subjunctive mood, clauses, modifiers, modals, idioms, and auxiliaries, direct and indirect speech, etc. among others. learn advanced words like Aberration, Benevolent, Capricious, Disparage, Equivocate, etc. and their usage. Reading newspapers, magazines, and quality literature helps in enhancing expertise in grammar. Apart from these, candidates must take regular mock tests to learn how to apply grammar knowledge to answer maximum questions with high accuracy under timed conditions and analyze test results to identify and improve weaker areas.
Candidates must develop time management strategies by taking multiple full-length SNAP mock tests 2024 under timed conditions in the final phase. In the last month, it is recommended that candidates revise vocabulary and grammar rules, solve more RC passages, and practise answering more verbal ability questions, including analogies, sentence completion, and critical reasoning.
