UCEED 2025 Seat Allotment

The seats were allotted for UCEED 2025 counselling based on the following seat matrix as provided by IIT Bombay:

1. All India Rank (AIR) is represented by Opening/Closing Rank for OPEN Seats.

2. Respective Category Rank is represented by Opening/Closing Rank for EWS, OBC-NCL, SC and ST Seats.

3. PwD Ranks within Respective Categories are represented by Opening/Closing Rank for PwD Seats.

4. For Indian Citizens, seat allocation is based on the All India Rank (merit order), reservation category and availability of seats in each institute at the time of seat allocation.

5. For Foreign nationals holding OCI/PIO cards issued before 04/03/2021, seats will be allotted under the OPEN category and they are outside the ambit of reservation of seats under the EWS, OBC-NCL, SC, and ST categories.

6. If you are NOT a citizen of India (by birth or naturalisation), you will be considered as a FOREIGN NATIONAL. You will be allotted a seat in an institute as a Foreign National candidate (Not the OCI/PIO card holder) if your rank is the same or higher than the closing rank of the OPEN category in that academic programme, subject to the 10% cap on seats published, in order of merit.

7. Seats allotted to Foreign Nationals are supernumerary.

UCEED 2026 Tie Breaking Policy

If the total marks obtained by two or more candidates are the same, then the UCEED tie-breaking policy 2026 will be followed in the cutoff, which has been given below:

• A higher rank shall be given to the candidate who has scored higher marks in Part B of UCEED 2026.
• A higher rank will be given to the candidate who has scored higher marks in Section 2 of UCEED's Part A.
• If the tie still persists, a higher rank shall be assigned to the candidate who has scored higher marks in Part A's Section 1. 
• In case there is still a tie, then the candidates will be given the same rank. 

UCEED Cutoff 2026 Deciding Factors
