UCEED 2021 Seat Allotment Process

Once the candidates successfully register themselves for UCEED 2021, then 3 rounds of UCEED 2021 seat allotment process will commence. UCEED 2021 seat allotment will take place on the basis of rank, category, and choice.

The shortlisted candidates will be sent provisional allotment letters by their registered email. They have to pay the Seat Acceptance Fee of INR 60,000 and OBC-NCL and INR 15,000/- for SC/ST/PwD through the online mode.

The joint seat allotment will be governed by the following rules:

  • If the shortlisted candidates do not submit the seat acceptance fee before the scheduled time limit or they decline the admission, then their application will be cancelled. These vacant seats will be filled later seat allotment rounds.

  • If the candidates accept their first choice of the institute, the candidate has two options either accept the choice which means freeze the seat or decline the offer.

  • If the candidate is allotted their 2nd or 3rd choice of the institute, then the candidate has the options to either accept the choice or accept with the option which could be considered for upward movement i.e ‘float’ the choice for later rounds, if any, at the time of joint seat allocation.

    • In the ‘freezing’ option, candidates accept the offer that indicates they do not want to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such candidates will not be considered in later rounds of admission procedure.

    • In the ‘floating’ option, candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an institute of their higher preference is offered, then they will accept otherwise they will continue to study in the institute where they are already studying. These candidates will be given the option to participate in other rounds of admission.

  • For candidates who choose the ‘float’ option, the allotment of a seat in their higher priority institute will automatically result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by their in the earlier round.

  • Candidates offered seats are required to pay seat acceptance fee only once. Thus, the candidates who are allotted another seat because they opted the ‘float’ option, they will not have to pay seat acceptance fee again.

  • For candidates who accept offered seat, the seat acceptance fee will be adjusted against the admission fee of an institute at the time of joining.

  • For candidates who decline/reject the offered seat after remitting the seat acceptance fee, the refund will be governed by the policies of the admitting institute.

  • If a candidate has paid the fee for the seat acceptance and chooses to withdrawal during the end of the first round or before the end of the second round, then they will get the complete refund after deducting the processing charges of INR 1500/–

  • After the announcement of the final round of seat allocation, candidates do not have the option to withdraw an approved/allotted seat.

Document Verification:

  • Documents attached with the counselling form are checked at the counselling centre.

  • Candidates have to carry all the original documents at the counselling venue.

  • They must also carry a set of photocopies of all the relevant documents.

  • After the document verification, shortlisted candidates have to move for the next procedure initiated by the concerned authority.
