UPSC ESE 2020 Result

The Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) will announce the result of the Indian Engineering Service (IES) Preliminary exam 2020 in  February 2020 for the exam that will be conducted on 5th January 2020. The roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates will be released by UPSC as part of the result announcement. Candidates who clear the Prelims become eligible for IES Mains Examination. 

How to Check UPSC ESE 2020 Result 

  • Results are declared online on the official website of UPSC.

  • Go to the ‘IES Final Result’ link on the website.

  • A dialogue box will appear with the PDF file of the result. 

  • Download the PDF file.

  • Check for your name and roll number in the PDF file.

  • Selected candidates receive an email from UPSC stating their selection for the next round of examination along with the link of the e-admit card for Satge-II Mains Exam.

  • The same procedure will be followed to check the result of the Stage-II Mains Exam.

  • Candidates selected in the second stage will be eligible for the Personality Test round, which is the final round for IES/ESE 2020. 

UPSC ESE 2018 Cut-off

Cut-off is the minimum marks that the candidate should score in order to get selected for the next level of examination. A cut-off list will be released after the declaration of the Mains Exam Result. The overall UPSC ESE 2020 cut-off for final recommendation will be based on the performance of the candidates in Preliminary Exam, Mains Exam and Personality Test. The cut-off marks for UPSC ESE 2020 will approximately be 15% of the total marks.
