Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts examination for the different posts vacant under Indian Forest Service (IFS). Candidates who want to apply for the IFS must first know How to Apply for UPSC IFS 2018. The application process of UPSC IFS 2018 has commenced from 7th February 2018. The entire application process of UPSC IFS 2018 is conducted in online mode. Applicants willing to participate in the recruitment process of UPSC have to fill the application form as part of the application process. Additionally, applicants have to pay an application fee of INR 100 through online or offline modes to complete the submission of the UPSC IFS 2018 application form. While filling the online form applicants need to follow the steps and fill in correct information regarding their educational, personal and professional details. Any invalid or incorrect information noted shall be liable for cancellation of the candidature of the candidates and UPSC might also enforce legal implications on such applicants depending upon the type of illegal acts conducted.

Candidates applying for the UPSC IFS 2018 must know in detail about the steps that are required to apply for the examination successfully. In the steps given below candidates will be guided through one by one procedure that is to be done correctly keeping in mind the essence and implications involved in information submitted. Visit the official website of Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).
Go the right-hand side section of the page and look for ‘What’s New’ section.
In this section click on ‘DAF – Indian Forest Service Examination, 2018’.
A new page will open with an official notification that must be read carefully without missing any points in between.
Once you are through with the official notification, then go back to the Part-I Registration Link on the Homepage.
Click on the Link, a new page will open with the Application Form.
Fill the Form with correct credentials and upload the scanned signature and photograph.
Once the details along with the scanned copy are filled, click on the next button.
After the form submission, pay the required Application Fee by filling the asked bank details.
After all the bank procedure is done, click on the ‘submit button’. With this, the final submission of the application form gets over.
You must remember to take the print out of the filled application form.
Filling of Personal Details:
Applicants have to fill their Name, Parents name, Nationality, Gender, Category, Date of Birth, Contact Address, Physical Condition, etc.
Educational Qualifications Details:
In this step, applicants have to enter their complete educational details such as 10th, 12th and Graduation marks.
Choice of Branch Preference:
While filling the application form, applicants have to provide their preferences for the Civil Services exam.

Uploading of Photograph and Signature:
Applicants are required to upload the scanned copies of their latest Passport-size Photograph and Signature as per the following specifications:
All images have to be in .jpg format.
The file size for both Photograph and Signature should not be more than 40 KB and should not be below 3 KB for Photograph and 1 KB for Signature.
The signature image should be of 110 (height) x 140 (width) pixel size.
The photograph image should be of 140 (height) x 110 (width) pixel size.
The signature should be done on a white paper with a black pen.
Applicants applying for UPSC IFS 2018 have to pay INR 100 as application fees for General & OBC applicants. SC/ST/PH and female applicants are exempted from paying the application fee.
The application fees of UPSC IFS 2018 can be paid through online and offline mode.
Applicants making offline payment can pay the application fees with a Challan at any State Bank of India Branch across the nation.
