WBJEE 2019 Merit List

The WBJEE 2019 merit list will be released after the WBJEE 2019 result is declared in the first week of July 2019. There will be two separate WBJEE 2019 merit list, one based on the papers the candidates appeared in and the other based on the marks scored by the candidates in WBJEE 2019 entrance examination. Following the release of the WBJEE 2019 merit list, all the WBJEE 2019 participating colleges will release the WBJEE 2019 cutoff marks list separately and the eligible candidates will be eligible to participate in the subsequent WBJEE 2019 counselling process for securing a seat in their desired participating Institutes.

Steps to View WBJEE 2019 Merit List

The candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below in order to access the WBJEE 2019 Merit List:

  • The candidates have to, in the first place, visit the official WBJEE 2019 website

  • The candidates have to navigate to the “WBJEE 2019 Merit List” link available on the home page and click on the same

  • After they have clicked on the “WBJEE 2019 Merit List” link, they will land on a page where they will be required to enter their roll number and date of birth in the respective textboxes

  • After filling up the textboxes with the necessary details, the candidates have to click on the “Submit” button

  • The WBJEE 2019 Merit List will be displayed on the screen which must be saved by the candidates for future use

WBJEE 2019 General Merit Rank (GMR)

The WBJEE 2019 General Merit Rank will be released by the board which will consist of the total score obtained by the candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II combined. Here are some important points regarding the WBJEE 2019 General Merit Rank:

  • Based on the WBJEE 2019 General Merit List, the eligible candidates will be offered admission into Architecture, Engineering, Pharmacy and Technology courses at Jadavpur University

  • The name of the highest scorer in WBJEE 2019 exam will be at the top of the WBJEE 2019 General Merit List while the name of the candidate who has the least marks in the exam will be at the bottom

  • The tie-breaking methodology will be employed in case two or more candidates are stranded on the same score

  • The merit position of the candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, PwD etc will be indicated separately

  • The purpose of the category ranks is only to provide information to the students. The admission, allotment of seat and counselling will be done on the basis of WBJEE 2019 General Merit Rank list

  • The category rank of those candidates will be cancelled whose claims will be found invalid during the verification process. Such candidates will be considered under the General category

WBJEE 2019 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR)

The WBJEE 2019 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) will be prepared on the basis of the marks secured by the candidates in Paper-II only, Physics and Chemistry to be specific. Following are some important points regarding WBJEE 2019 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR):

  • Based on the WBJEE 2019 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR), the eligible candidates will be offered admission into all the pharmacy courses other than Jadavpur University

  • The name of the highest scorer in WBJEE 2019 exam Paper-II will be at the top of the WBJEE 2019 Pharmacy Merit Rank list while the name of the candidate who has the least marks in Paper-II will be at the bottom

  • The tie-breaking methodology will be employed in case two or more candidates are stranded on the same score

  • The admission and counselling of the eligible candidates will be done on the basis of WBJEE 2019 Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) only

  • The merit position of the candidates belonging to reserved categories like SC, ST, OBC, PwD etc will be indicated separately

  • The purpose of the category ranks is only to provide information to the students. The admission, allotment of seat and counselling will be done on the basis of WBJEE 2019 Pharmacy Merit Rank list

Note:

  • Those candidates will be considered for admission into all the courses who have appeared in both the WBJEE 2019 Paper I and Paper II. Such candidates will also be eligible for both WBJEE 2019 PMR and WBJEE 2019 GMR.

  • Candidates who will only appear in WBJEE 2019 Paper-II will only be eligible for admission into Pharmacy courses other than Jadavpur University.

  • Those candidates who choose to only appear in WBJEE 2019 paper I, their names will not be included in either of GMR or PMR list.

  • Less negative marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combined

  • More positive marks in Physics and Mathematics combined

  • More positive marks in Chemistry and Mathematics combined

  • Less negative marks in Physics and Mathematics combined

  • Less negative marks in Chemistry and Mathematics combined

  • More positive marks obtained  by the candidates in Mathematics questions carrying 2 marks

  • More positive marks obtained  by the candidates in Physics questions carrying 2 marks

  • More positive marks obtained  by the candidates in Chemistry  questions carrying 2 marks

  • Less negative marks scored  by the candidates in Mathematics questions carrying 2 marks

  • Less negative marks scored  by the candidates in Physics questions carrying 2 marks

WBJEE 2019 PMR Tie-Breaking Rules

The WBJEE 2019 PMR Tie-Breaking rules are as follows:

  • Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Physics and Chemistry

  • More positive marks in Chemistry paper

  • Less negative marks scored by the candidates in Chemistry paper

  • More positive marks obtained by the candidates in the Chemistry questions carrying 2 marks

  • Less negative marks scored  by the candidates in Chemistry  questions carrying 2 marks

  • More positive marks obtained by the candidates in the Physics  questions carrying 2 marks

  • Less negative marks scored  by the candidates in Physics  questions carrying 2 marks

WBJEE 2019 GMR & PMR Final Tie-Breaking Rule

If two or more candidates are stuck at the same marks even after applying the above-mentioned tie-breaking rules, the date of birth of the candidates will come into play where older candidates will be preferred over the younger candidates.
