How to Apply for Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT)-M.Tech 2018

  • Candidates are instructed to visit the Website of Aliah University.  
  • Fill-up the name, choice of centre, choice of programme, date of birth, year of passing and percentage of marks very carefully. If a candidate is appearing in the H.S/qualifying examination, he/she must NOT enter any percentage of marks. Enter the year and percentage of marks of 10 class only. Similarly, if a candidate appearing in the graduation examination, he/she must NOT enter any percentage of marks in graduation. Enter the year and percentage of marks of Part - I and Part - II, and aggregate Marks.
  • Photograph and signature must be maintained in proper pixel and aspect ratio.
  • Candidates careful for Proper selection of centres to be made.
  • You are advised to ensure the correctness of your complete mailing address, PINCODE, e-mail address and mobile number. Please note that the University will not be responsible if you cannot be reached due to incomplete or illegible address, email, or mobile number.
  • Options given in the Application cannot, after submitting, be changed at the later stage.
  • The cost of the application is non-refundable.

Note:

  • The envelope containing the Application Form and attested copies of Age proof, mark sheet etc must be submitted to the CVS centers from where the forms have been collected. In the case of ONLINE application, the ‘Confirmation Sheet’ generated are to be submitted ONLINE.
  • Candidates will have to take the print of the fill-in ‘Confirmation sheet’ and then along with the Confirmation sheet, he/she will have to send all the testimonials (mentioned above) with the filled-in ‘Confirmation sheet’ to the University office by speed post/Registered Post at the address given below.
  • In case any candidate is unable to attach his/her photograph and signature through ONLINE, he/she will have to send all the testimonials (mentioned above) with the application form (along with posted photograph and signature) to the University office by speed post/Registered Post at the following address "The Chairman, AUAT-2017, Aliah University, 6th Floor, DN-18, Sector-V, Salt Lake Kolkata-700091".

Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT)-M.Tech 2018 Important Instructions

  • Bring the following documents while reporting to the Test Centre:
    • Admit Card.
    • Your latest coloured passport size photograph should be pasted on the Admit Card at the place provided for.
    • Photo identity as specified in the How to Register for AUAT M.Tech. 
    • Blue/Black ballpoint pen.
    • Cell phones, calculators, watch calculators, alarm clocks, digital watches with built in calculators/ memory or any electronics gadgets will not be allowed in the examination hall.
  • Occupy the seat allotted to you by verifying the SEAT NUMBER pasted on the desk and indicated in your Admit Card.
  • The Test Invigilator will check your Admit Card and ID proof.
  • The Test Booklet will be distributed just before the starting time of the Test. The candidate must ensure that the booklet is sealed. If the seal is found broken or tampered with, please bring this matter to the notice of the invigilator immediately.
  • The Test Invigilator will instruct you to open the seals of the Test Booklet and commence answering the test.
  • Check immediately that all the pages of the booklet are in order. In the rare event of the Test Booklet being defective, bring it to the notice of the invigilator immediately who will arrange for the replacement of Test Booklet if required Duration of the test is 90 minutes. The candidate may attempt any section in any order.
  • The candidate will not be allowed to leave the hall till the test is over and until the Invigilator has collected the answer OMR sheet and Question Booklet. The candidate will be allowed to leave the hall only after the answer OMR sheets and Question. 
  • Booklet of all the candidates in the hall have been collected and accounted for.  
  • Candidates found using any unfair means will forfeit their chance of being considered for admission and will be debarred from receiving  scores.

Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT)-M.Tech 2018 Relaxation Policy

Physically Challenged (PC) Candidates
For candidates belonging to the PC category, who are otherwise fit to pursue the course and qualify in AUAT-2017 with relaxed norms relevant to this category, 3% seats are reserved as specified by the Government of India. For any category of disability (viz.,orthopedic, visual, speech, and/or hearing), benefit would be given to those candidates who have at least 40% permanent physical impairment in relation to a body part / system / extremity / extremities / whole body, etc. The candidates in this category will be required to submit a certificate of impairment from the competent authority.
 
NB: The category of a candidate other than PC is hereby termed as GEN category.
 
Students from outside West Bengal
5% of seats are available to eligible candidates from outside the State of West Bengal but they have to appear and qualify in AUAT- 2017. The candidates wish to apply in this category must be: (i)
domicile of a state other than West Bengal. (ii) his/her last attended institute must be outside of West Bengal. They must apply with supportive documents. Such candidates are NOT eligible to apply in General quota.
 
Students from Foreign Countries
A limited number of seats will be available to foreign students with requisite background subject to the clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
 
A Students from WBJEE (for B Tech/Integrated MCA/ Integrated MSc in Comp. Sc. Course only)
5% of the seats in 4 year B Tech Programmes, are reserved for the students who will be successful in WBJEE-2017 examinations. These candidates are exempted from appearing AUAT-2017. They will have to apply in plain paper with a copy of Rank Card issued by WBJEE at AUAT office, New Town, Rajarhat, on or after 6th June, 2017 to 11th June, 2017. A separate merit list for those candidates will also be published.
 
NB: After the last counselling if any reserved seat/seats remain vacant, the University has every right to fill up the vacant seats from GEN category strictly from the merit list.

Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT)-M.Tech Application FAQ

1) Is registration necessary? How does it work?

Yes. Registration is a process in which your email-id and preferred password are saved in a database. On successful registration, an email will be sent to your registered email-id with a confirmation link for verification. You need to click on this link to complete the registration process. After confirming your account, use the Apply link to submit your application.

2) To apply do I need to have an email-id?

Candidates must have a valid email-id prior to registering themselves with (AUAT) M.Tech .

3) Is it possible to fill-up the form in fragments/parts since it is a long one?

Yes. It is possible to fill up the form in fragments. Even one can save the form after filling the mandatory fields in the first page and enter other data in the next login. However, it is advised to do it in one go whenever one is ready with all the details.

4) What are these email-id and password required for?

The email-id (used as your user-id) and password (whatever you wish) are required to create an account with the AUAT website for submitting the ON-LINE application form.

5) Is it possible to make payment of the application fee after submitting the application?

NO. Further instructions will be provided later.

6) Is there a provision to modify a previously saved form?

Modification is possible upto end of Decmeber. 

7) My Credit/Debit card is not working while paying the application fee. What should I do?

Only Master and Visa cards are acceptable for fee payment by Credit/Debit card. If you do not have one, then take help of friends/relatives who have these cards. 

8) When shall I receive the AUAT - M.Tech admit card?

You can download admit card from first week of June. You must not mutilate the admit card nor make any change therein.

9) What is my Unique Submission Number or What Unique Number will be sent as confirmation of my form submission ?

The Unique Submission Number will be identified by the string "Your Application form ID is XXXX"where xxxx is your application number in the mail you receive after form submission. [This number is valid only when it is received in a email from us]. An email will be sent only after successful submission of application. If you don't receive this email, then contact us immediately.

10) Can I change my test centre?

No, you cannot change the test centre.
