Create Login ID
  • To apply online the candidate should have a valid e-mail ID. With that e-mail ID the candidate has to register at official website.
  • Then the candidate has to follow the instructions given by the web page for filling up the application form.
Complete the application Form
  • Fill all the personal information in the application form like:
    • Nationality
    • State of Eligibility
    • Candidate's Name
    • Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY)
    • Gender
    • Mother's Name
    • Father's Name
    • Category
    • Place of Residence
Upload Photograph and Documents
  • He/She has to upload a photograph in the required format in the space provided.
  • He/She has to upload scanned signature in the required format in the space provided.
  • He/She has to upload scanned pictures of his/her Educational documents and Identity documents in the required format. 
Payment of fees
  • The Application fee is Rs. 1200/-for GEN/OBC and Rs. 800/-for SC/ST candidates.
  • Candidate has to  to pay the fee through online banking by using credit / debit card (ATM card) / internet banking.
  • The candidate who does not have online facility may deposit the fees through challan as per the guideline.
Print Application Form
  • After successfully submit, take a print out of it for future use.

Eligibility for BHU PAT (BAMS/B. Pharm. (Ay)/ BNYS ENTRANCE TEST) 2017

Educational Qualification

Candidate shall be eligible who has passed the intermediate Science or Pre-Medical Course/12 years of 10+2 examination or Equivalent Examination of recognized Indian University/ Board/ Council with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English (hereinafter called the qualifying examination). Candidate has obtained not less than 50% of the total marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at the qualifying examination. For Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Candidates, the minimum marks required shall be 40% in the qualifying examination. The candidate has to submit mark sheet and pass certificate at the time of counseling indicating that he/she has passed the qualifying examination in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology along with other subjects. Age: The candidate must have completed the age of 17 year but have not crossed the age of 25 years on 31 December 2017 to be eligible for the Entrance Test. Only those candidates whose date of birth falls between 1 January 1992 and 31 December 2000 (both dates inclusive) are eligible. Those Candidates born on or before 31 December, 1992 and on or after 1 January, 2000 are not eligible.

BHU PAT (BAMS/B. Pharm. (Ay)/ BNYS ENTRANCE TEST) 2017 Important Instructions

  • No candidate is allowed to note down the question or their answers.
  • Candidate will NOT bring any loose paper whether written or blank inside the Examination Hall except the Admit Card.
  • Calculators / Slide rule /Electronic Diary /Pager /Mobile Phone are not allowed inside examination room. In case of violation of this provision, his/her candidature shall not be considered.
  • Candidates found talking to one another or copying from any source or attempting to use any form of unfair means or found in possession of any written material on their person or clothing or on or about their seat or causing or attempting to cause any disturbances in the examination hall or being of UNRULY behavior shall be liable to such punishment as the University may determine and impose on them, and his/her performance at the BHU-PAT (BAMS/B. Pharm.(Ay)/ BNYS ENTRANCE TEST) shall be treated as cancelled.
  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained anywhere in the ordinances of the university no scrutiny/re-evaluation of the answer sheet of the BHU-PAT (BAMS/ B. Pharm.. (Ay)/ BNYS ENTRANCE TEST) shall be allowed on any ground.
  • In all matters, relating to BHU-PAT (BAMS/B. Pharm. (Ay)/ BNYS ENTRANCE TEST) and admission to BAMS / B. Pharm. (Ay)/ BNYS course the decision of the admission committee of the Institute shall be final and binding on the candidate.
  • If it is detected that there is something against the candidate which would have prevented him/her from being admitted to the institute for providing false information, act of gross misconduct and indiscipline, and his/her provisional admission shall be liable to be cancelled.
  • In case of any dispute the decision of the admission committee shall be final however; an appeal may lie to the Vice-Chancellor, Banaras Hindu University against such decision. In no case, any candidate shall take recourse to the court of law directly.
  • In case of any dispute, Varanasi shall be the jurisdiction.
  • On detection of any fake/forged documents submitted at the time of counseling/ admission, thecandidature will be cancelled.
  • If anything against the candidate is detected after the issue of Admit Card, the Director, Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University has the authority to CANCEL the Admit Card and can DEBAR the candidate for appearing in BHU-PAT (B.A.M.S. / B. Pharm. (Ay)/ B.N.Y.S. ENTRANCE TEST).

1) What is BHU PAT ?

BHU PAT is an all India competitive written test conducted for taking admission to Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) program offered at Faculty of Ayurveda, Institute of Medical Sciences and Bachelor of Pharmacy in Ayurveda (B.Pharm (Ay))/Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences.

2) How to Apply for the Test?

Candidate who fulfils the eligibility requirements shall apply online at official website in the prescribed application form for BHU-PAT and shall be required to appear in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Banaras Hindu University for the purpose of admission to the first year B.A.M.S., / B. Pharm. (Ay) / B.N.Y.S. Course.

3) What is Admission Procedure?

  • Candidates will be selected in order of merit on the basis of the aggregate marks secured at the BHU-PAT (BAMS/B. Pharm. (Ay)/ BNYS ENTRANCE TEST). The minimum qualifying marks will be  50% for general category, 45% for general PC category and 40% for OBC (non Creamy layer) / Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates.
  • The selected candidates shall be required to appear personally before the Admission Committee for counseling / interview.

5) Shall I send the confirmation page to the University?

No. You need not send any document to the University unless otherwise specifically mentioned in your application status page.

6) How to obtain the Admit card after registering for BHU PAT ?

After registering for BHU PAT , the Admit card may be downloaded from the official website of the university .

7) I forgot to note down my Registration number during the Candidate registration process. How can I get the Registration number?

Login to your home page. There you will get all details about your application.

8) I forgot my password. What is the procedure to retrieve the password?

Using the link ‘Forgot Your Password’ in online application, you can reset your password. User name, DOB, email-id, Security Question and answer to it should be provided for resetting the password.

9) Is it compulsory to have an Email-ID and Mobile number?

Yes, Email-ID and mobile number are mandatory for all candidates. Active Email-ID and mobile number of parents can also be used.

10) I am not able to upload the photo. What is the reason?

Photo to be uploaded should have the specified dimensions and size. Upload your recent passport size (color) photograph (132 x 170 pixels with the file size between 4 KB and 100 KB) and signature (132 x 57 pixels with file size between 1 KB and 30 KB). Refer the link "Uploading Photo & Sign" in the Application Portal.  

11) I have successfully submitted the application and remitted the application fee. But I cannot download my Registration Confirmation Page.

Registration Confirmation Page will be available for download in your home page immediately after your application is approved. Please check your application status.

12) Is it compulsory to do all the steps mentioned for applying online in a single sitting?

You should create the login details ie user-id and password in one sitting. The password will be sent to you by email. In the second stage you should login using the login details received in your email and then change your password. Now in the next step you should re-login using the new password and fill the remaining part of the application in one sitting.

13) What are the eligibility criteria for appearing in BHU PAT ?
