GNDU CET (M.Tech) 2018 - Application Steps

Create login id
  • Barring state level admissions, all applications for admission to courses are submitted online.
  • For filling up application form online go to the Offical Website.
Payment of Fee
  • Amount of Fees-
    • Each application form must be accompanied by application fee of Rs.1200/-(for General Category candidates) or Rs.600/- (for SC/ST candidates).
  • Modes of payment :
    • Bank Challan
  • Note:
    • The application fee is to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of Patiala. After depositing the money in the bank, the bank will issue a unique Journal ID.
    • Please print the bank slip and take it to the bank for depositing the application fee.

  • After Fee deposit fill personal information like-

Upload Documents
  • Participants should upload all copy of their Documents in required size and format.
Downloading Application Form
  • After filling all the fields in the application form, when the candidate clicks on the  SUBMIT button, a form will appear showing particulars filled by the candidate.
  • The candidate will have the option to edit the filled particulars or lock the application.
  • Once LOCK button is pressed, a print version of filled form will appear with a unique ID. This is a copy of the application that has now been submitted for admission.
  • The candidate must take a printout of this form and paste an attested photograph on the specified space.

Note: The candidate will be required to bring this form at the time of counseling.

How to Apply for GNDU CET (M.Tech) 2018

  • To apply online, log on to Official website of Gurunanak dev university.
  • The candidates shall fill up online the application form with all necessary details very carefully.
  • Application fee is Rs. 1200/- (for General Category candidates) or Rs. 600/- (for SC/ST candidates).
  • Mode of Payment: Application fee has to be deposited in any branch of State Bank of India or through online mode (Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Netbanking).
  • Before filling up and submitting the application form, take the following steps to deposit the application fee.
    • Open the online application form, click bank form, select the desired Department, desired Course, fill in the name, date of birth, password, security key and click on submit button. 
    • A printed version will appear along with unique Deposit ID. Please print this bank slip and take it to the bank for depositing the application fee.
    • The application fee is to be deposited at any branch of State Bank of Patiala. After depositing the money in the bank, the bank will issue a unique Journal ID.
    • After a gap of minimum three working days, the application form should be submitted.
  • Press LOCK button, a print version of filled form will appear with a unique ID.
  • The candidate must take a printout of this form and paste an attested photograph on the specified space.
  • The candidate will be required to bring this form at the time of counseling.

GNDU CET (M.Tech) 2018 Important Instructions

  • Candidate will not be allowed to appear for the entrance examination without a valid admit card.
  • Physical calculator, mobile phone and wrist watches with calculation facility are strictly prohibited and candidates possessing these in the examination hall (even if not using) shall be disqualified.
  • Candidates should be present at the examination center 30 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
  • Any malpractice or attempt to commit malpractice in the examination hall or any violation of the rules will lead to disqualification of the candidate.
  • There will be no migration from the Academic Session.

GNDU CET (M.Tech) 2018 Relaxation Policy

  • Reservation of seats in a course shall be determined as per the Reservation Policy of the University.
  • Applications under a reserved category must be accompanied by a certificate from the competent authority (as given in Reservation Policy) stating that the candidate belongs to that particular reserved category for which he/she is claiming a seat.
  • All candidates must declare their claims for reserved categories at the time of filling their online application forms for the entrance test/counseling, otherwise, their subsequent claims shall not be accepted after the form has been submitted online.
  • All admissions made in the reserved categories will be provisional and liable to cancellation if, at any stage, any information about reserved categories furnished by the candidate is found to be fabricated or false.
  • 3% seats shall be reserved in the professional courses for the residents of the villages Sathiala, Gagarbhana, Vadadpuraat the Regional Campus Sathiala and at Regional Campus Sultanpur Lodhi for the residents of the village Fattudhinga.
  • For SC/ST students, relaxation of 5% marks in eligibility conditions shall be given as per rules.

1) Tell me about Guru Nanak Dev University?

Guru Nanak Dev University was established at Amritsar on November 24, 1969 to mark the 500th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. It is both a residential and an affiliating university. In conceiving the future course of the University, the objectives enshrined in the Guru Nanak Dev University Act 1969, emphasised that the new University would make provision for imparting education and promoting research in the humanities, learned professions, sciences, especially of applied nature and technology.

4) How do I get the application form for admission?

For filling up application form online can be accessed at official website.The candidates shall fill up online the application form very carefully. They are required to fill up all the applicable columns with utmost care. They are advised to remember their ‘password’ as the same may be needed at the time of counselling.

5) The admit card has been issued but I am unable to login. What should I do now?

Not to worry, when the admit card is released the website crashes down due to high traffic. The conducting body will take the appropriate measures to resolve the issue.

7) How Can I Make Corrections In My Application Form ?

Write an application mentioning the corrections to be done in the application form & send it along with the application form.

8) How will I get my Admit Card?

You will need to download your Admit Card from the official website of Guru Nanak Dev University.

9) I forgot my application number, how do I download my admit card?

It can be downloaded by submitting e­mail id and DoB. However, check the confirmation page of the application form, the required number will be given there.

10) When shall I receive the GNDU CET M.Tech admit card?

You can download admit card from first week of July. You must not mutilate the admit card nor make any change therein.
