  • Application fees is Rs. 800 /- for all Candidates from Outside Maharashtra State** (OMS), Open Category candidates from Maharashtra State and J&K Migrant Candidates and Rs. 400 /- for Candidates belonging to Maharashtra State of Backward class Categories (SC, ST, VJ/DT (NT-A), NT-1 (B) NT-2 (C), NT-3(D), OBC and SBC Categories. WITH VALID CASTE CERTIFICATE in case of ST candidate Caste Validity Certificate and Non-creamy layer certificate VJ/ DT, NT (A), NT-1 (B), NT-2(C), NT-3(D), OBC and SBC candidates from Maharashtra State only.
  • Application Form Processing Fees as stated below is to be paid through on-line system only by Internet Payment, Credit Card/ Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

How to Apply for ILS PUNE 2017

Guidelines for Scanning and Uploading of Candidate’s Photograph and
Signature

  • IN CASE THE FACE IN THE PHOTOGRAPH OR SIGNATURE IS UNCLEAR, THE APPLICATION MAY REJECTED.
  • APPLICANT MAY EDIT THE APPLICATION AND RE-UPLOAD THE PHOTOGRAPH/ SIGNATURE IN CASE PHOTOGRAPH AND SIGNATURE IS NOT CLAEAR.

PHOTOGRAPH IMAGE:

  • Photograph must be a recent, passport size, color picture.
  • The picture should be in color, against a light-coloured, preferably white background.
  • Look straight at the camera with a relaxed face.
  • If the picture is taken on a sunny day, have the sun behind you, or place yourself in the shade, so that you are not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.
  • If you have to use flash, ensure there's no "red-eye".
  • If you wear glasses make sure that there are no reflections and your eyes can be clearly seen.
  • Photographs taken wearing Caps, Hats and Dark Glasses are not acceptable. Religious headwear is allowed but it must not cover your face. Your face should be clearly visible.
  • Dimension 200 x 230 pixels is preferred.
  • Size of file should be between 20kb-50kb.
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 50KB. If the size of the file is more than 50KB, then adjust the settings of the scanner such as the DPI resolution, No.of colours etc. during the process of scanning.
  • Candidates are advised to keep one copy of the photograph uploaded to be pasted on the Hall Ticket. The Uploaded photo image and photo pasted on the Hall Ticket/ should match. In case of mismatch of Photo the applicant may be disqualified.

SIGNATURE IMAGE:

  • The applicant has to sign on white paper with Black Ink pen.
  • The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any other person.
  • The applicant's signature obtained on the Hall Ticket and Attendance Sheet at the time of the CET Examination should match with the uploaded signature. In case of mismatch of signature, the applicant may be disqualified.
  • Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels is preferred for Signature image.
  • Size of file should be between 10kb-20kb.
  • Ensure that the size of the scanned image is not more than 20KB.

SCANNING THE PHOTOGRAPH & SIGNATURE

  • Set the scanner resolution to a minimum of 200 dpi (Dots per Inch).
  • Set Color to True Color.
  • File Size as specified above.
  • Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the Photograph/Signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size (as specified above).
  • The image file should be JPG or JPEG format. An example file name is: image01.jpg or image01.jpeg Image dimension can be checked by listing the folder files or moving the mouse over the file image icon. Applicants using MS Windows/MS Office can easily obtain photo and signature in .jpeg format not exceeding 50KB & 20KB respectively by using MS Paint or MS Office Picture Manager. Scanned photograph and signature in any format can be saved in .jpg format by using 'Save As' option in the File menu and size can be reduced below 50KB (photograph) & 20KB (Signature) by using crop and then resize option [Please see point (i) & (ii) above for the pixel size] in the 'Image' menu. Similar options are available in other photo editor also.
  • If the size and format are not as prescribed, an error message will be displayed.
  • While filling in the Online Application Form the applicant will be provided with a link to upload his Photograph and Signature.

Procedure for Uploading the Photograph and Signature

  • There will be two separate links for uploading Photograph and Signature.
  • Click on the respective link "Upload Photograph/ Upload Signature".
  • Browse and Select the location where the Scanned Photo/Signature file has been saved.
  • Select the file by clicking on it.
  • Click the 'Upload' button
  • An online application which is incomplete in any respect such as without Photograph and Signature uploaded in the online application form/unsuccessful fee payment will not be considered as valid.
  • After registering on-line candidates are advised to take printout of their system generated on-line application form.

Important Note for All Candidates:

  • Application once Finally submitted will not be allowed to be withdrawn/ Edited/Changed in any circumstances. Fees once paid will NOT be refunded under any circumstances nor can be held in reserve for next year’s CET.

 

 

 

Documents to be filed with application

You must submit self-attested copies of following documents with your admission form.  To self-attest a copy, write ‘TRUE COPY’ on a visible part of the document, and sign. If you do not submit documents, your application will not be considered.

You must submit documents with the application form. We will not consider forms which do not have accompanying documents.

NOTE: If your mark sheet gives grades, and the mark sheet does not indicate the formula for converting grades to marks, you must also submit a certificate or transcript of your university / institution indicating your marks as converted from your grades.

  • IMPORTANT: We do not give admission unless you have ORIGINAL mark-sheet of the qualifying examination issued by the Board / University. We cannot consider provisional grades or marks or mark sheet of IB Board or the like, provisional mark sheets issued by Universities awaiting declaration of results, transcripts, certified true copies, results sent in confidence, downloaded mark-sheets, and the like.
  • Statement of marks of SSC (Xth) or equivalent examination
  • SSC or Xth or equivalent certificate
  • Statement of marks of XIth standard.
  • Statement of marks of HSC (XIIth) or equivalent examination (for graduates)
  • Passing certificate (if available)
  • A certified copy of entry in birth-register, or school leaving certificate, if your SSC certificate (Xth or old XIth) does not have your date of birth,
  • Transfer Certificate and School Leaving Certificate of the College or Board or School you attended.
  • Migration Certificate of the University or College or Board or School you attended, if it is affiliated to any University or Board other than Savitribai Phule Pune University or Maharashtra Higher Secondary Board. If you do not have this now, you must undertake to submit it within fifteen days from the date of your admission.
  • If you seek a seat in the reserved categories,
    • Valid and subsisting caste certificate issued by appropriate authority
    • A valid and subsisting certificate from the appropriate authority that you do not belong to the Creamy Layer, if you seek admission in such sub-categories among NT, VJNT, OBC, SBC to which the creamy-layer criteria is applicable.
    • A valid and subsisting certificate issued by the Civil Surgeon or Competent Authority under the Persons with Disability Act, 1995, if you seek admission and benefits in physically handicapped category.
  • (Important Note for a., b., and c.: If you do not submit such certificates with the admission form, you will be considered for admission in the open category for all purposes, including for merit lists and fees)
  • If you are employed, a written permission from the employer to pursue the course and attend all the classes of the law degree course according to time table. (i.e. upto 11.40 am every day).
  • Domicile certificate (if applicable).

You can obtain the admission form and Prospectus as follows:

  • You can purchase the prospectus for Rs 1100 in cash. You can collect it from College Office.
  • You can download admission form after complete it, and send it with a Demand Draft of Rs 1300 drawn on a nationalised bank payable at Pune in the name ‘Principal, ILS Law College’ to be sent with the downloaded and completed admission form.
  • Complete this form with all details.
  •  Send the form, all prescribed Documents and Demand Draft to the address: The Principal, ILS Law College, Law College Road, Pune 411004, Maharashtra.
  • These must reach us before the last date for submission of form stated in the time-table.
  • We will send you the Prospectus.
  • You can ask for a copy of prospectus and admission form by sending a Demand Draft of Rs 1300 drawn on a nationalised bank payable at Pune in the name ‘Principal, ILS Law College’ to be sent with request for copy of the Prospectus.
  • We will send you the Prospectus.

Eligibility for ILS PUNE 2017

Eligibility:

  • The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.
  • The candidate should also fulfil the following eligibility criteria for following candidature types:

Maharashtra State Candidature:

  • Types of Maharashtra State Candidature:
    • a candidate who is Domicile of Maharashtra or born in Maharashtra, or
    • the Father or Mother of the Candidate is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra, or
    • the Father or Mother of the Candidate is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking who is posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submitting the Application Form for CAP, or
    • the Father or Mother of the Candidate is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking, or
    • the Candidates passing SSC and or HSC Examination or Equivalent Examination from a recognised institution from a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.
  • All India Candidature: The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this Category.
  • Minority Candidature: The Maharashtra domiciled Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community within the State and as notified by the Government are eligible under this Category.
  • NRI Candidature: The Candidate who fulfils the conditions as defined in clause (n) of section 2 of the Act are eligible under this Category.
  • Foreign Student or OCI or PIO Candidature: The Foreign Student Candidates, as defined in clause (i) of section 2 of the Act, the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Candidate, as defined under clause (m) of rule 2 of the Notification No. CET 2015/C.R. 243/Mashi-2, Dated 2nd April, 2016 and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) as defined in clause (o) of section 2 of the Act are eligible under this Category.

Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature:

  • The children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from unsafe border area of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities; or
  • The children of officers belonging to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu and Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of application for admission; or
  • The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism; are eligible under this category.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Educational Qualifications for Maharashtra State Candidates:
    • The candidate should be a Graduate and or Post Graduate in any faculty/discipline od knowledge of any University in Maharashtra established by an act of Parliament or by the State Legislature or an equivalent National Institution recognized as a Deemed to be University or Foreign University recognized as equivalent to the status of an Indian University by an Authority competent to declare equivalence, with minimum 45% Marks in aggregate for Open Category candidates ( i.e. 45% Marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together), and 40% Marks in aggregate in degree examination in all parts of the Degree Examination for candidates belonging to SC and ST Category belonging to State of Maharashtra only.
  • The Candidate who has passed the 3 year undergraduate degree and or 2/3 Yrs. Post Graduate Degree from university mentioned in above after prosecuting the studies in the educational pattern of 10+2+3 and/or 10+2+3+2/3 Yrs. with regular studies at Secondary (SSC) and Higher Secondary (HSC) schooling.
  • The Candidates who have completed 10 (SSC) +2 (HSC) Education following Regular Mode are also eligible for admission to LL.B 3 Yrs. CET 2017 provided they have completed their Graduation and or Post Graduation through Regular Mode/Open or Distance Mode .
  • Candidates from Out- side Maharashtra Universities will be considered as Open Category candidates irrespective of their Caste/Category and criteria applicable to Open Category candidates will be applicable to them ( Outside Maharashtra University Graduates/Post Graduates.,

Explanation:

  • If the Candidate has not obtained any of the qualifications prescribed in the pattern of 10+2+3, then he/she will not be eligible for admission to any of the three year LL.B. Degree course. This means that candidate having Non-sequential Educational Qualifications will not be eligible for admission to LL.B-3 Yrs. CET/ Course.
  • The Candidate will be held eligible, if doesn’t have prescribed minimum percentage of marks in aggregate at U.G. Degree examination, but has obtained prescribed Minimum Aggregate percentage at the P.G. degree examination provided, he/she have prosecuted the study pattern in the 10+2+3 OR 10+2+3+2/3 format.
  • The applicant who has passed the qualifying examination (U.G. or P.G. degree) in a single sitting Examination without having basic qualifications of (10+2+3) is not eligible for admission to 3 year LL.B course since 10+2 is the essential qualification for Law Admissions.
  • Candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination in the academic year 2016-2017 are also eligible to apply for MAH-LL.B-3 –CET / Entrance Examination. Such candidates will become eligible for admission only if they produce marks Memo/ Degree Certificate of the Qualifying Examination while filling in the Form for CAP only if they score minimum required percentage of Aggregate marks in the Qualifying Examination.

Notes:

  • Aggregate marks means the Grand Total of marks obtained by the candidate at the Certificate/Diploma /Degree in all Semesters/ Years on which the Class/Grade is awarded by the Board/ University.
  • In case the candidates are awarded Grade/s,/CGPA instead of marks, the conversion of Grade/s, CGPA to percentage of marks would be based on the formula/procedure certified by the Board University/ Institution from where the candidate has obtained the Bachelor’s Degree The candidate will have to bring the necessary proof to that effect from the University/ Institution. If the Grades of all Semesters/Years are taken into considered for awarding Grade in Certificate/ Diploma/Degree, the same is to be considered and noted by the candidate while filling in the form. It will be obligatory on the part of the candidate to bring grade to percentage certificate from the University/Board/ College/Institute.
  • The percentage of Marks shall be calculated by rounding off to two places after decimal. The candidate belonging to SC/ST, DT/VJ, NT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC and SBC categories having caste certificate from the State of Maharashtra only should produce “Caste Certificate” issued by the Competent Authority and the candidates belonging to ST category should submit “Tribe Validity Certificate” issued by the Scrutiny Committee of Tribal Department along with Caste certificate. Candidates belonging to DT/VJ, NT (A), NT (B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC and SBC should submit Valid Non Creamy Layer Certificate as applicable at the time of verification of Documents/Admission. Then only these category candidates will be eligible for CET Examination Fee Concession and admission on the reserved seat in the CAP process. Candidates belonging to other than Maharashtra State Universities will be treated as Open Category Candidate.
  • There is no upper age limit for admission to 3 Year LL.B CET in the Academic Year 2017-2018, In view of case pending in Hon. Supreme Court of India, and the order passed by Hon. High Court, Bombay in WP. No.3235 of 2016. The admissions to LL.B-3 Yrs. Course will be subject to final outcome of various writ petitions.

ILS PUNE 2017 Important Instructions

ILS Pune will not consider your application unless you have filled all details fully and truthfully, and have submitted all documents.

  • If your mark sheet (of the qualifying exam) gives grades, and the mark sheet does not indicate the formula for converting grades to marks, you must also submit a certificate or transcript of your university / institution indicating your marks as converted from your grades.
  • Further details about the admission programme will be published from time to time on the web-site and notice-boards. Please follow these notices regularly. Admissions are at the sole discretion of the Principal. No other person has the authority to promise, offer or give admissions. All admissions are provisional, to be confirmed by the Principal and Admissions Committee and subject to further approval by the Savitribai Phule Pune University.

ILS PUNE Application FAQ

1) What does ILS PUNE mean?

ILS Pune stands for Indian Law Society's Law College,Pune,Common Law Admission Test. It is an entrance exam conducted all over India for admission into various law courses in participating law schools.

2) How can I apply if my result is declared, but my marksheet will not be available before the last date prescribed for submitting the admission form?

If your marksheet will not be available before the last date for submitting admission form, you can do the following:

  • Download and print your marksheet that shows all marks of all subjects in that exam.
  • Self-attest the printout. To do this, write 'True Copy' on the printed marksheet and sign below. The student seeking admission must sign it.
  • Attach this printout to the admission form, with all other documents that you must file.

3) What details do we give in the boxes for 'Faculty', 'Marks' and 'Category' on the first page of the admission form?

Please leave these boxes blank. Do not fill any details in these.

4) Is it necessary to submit a domicile certificate if I belong to the 'Within-Maharashtra' Category?

  • You need NOT submit a domicile certificate if
  • You are applying for the three-year LLB Course, and have completed Xth, XIIth, and higher education (viz. graduation) in Maharashtra.

5) Should I send the print outs of the Application Form to the ILS Pune office by post?

NO, the applicant is not required to send the hard copy of the print out of his/her application to the ILS office.
However, it is strongly advised that the applicant keeps a hard copy of his /her application for his/her own record and future communication with the ILS Office, if required.

6) I have filled-up the Application Form successfully but now, can I change/correct the details as entered in the Application form?

NO CHANGE can be made after the Final Submission of the Application Form. However, if the time is still left for filling up the Online- Application Form, the applicant has to fill a Fresh/New Application Form along with the prescribed fee. In such case the new ID will be generated by the system and the fee paid for the previously filled Application form will not be refunded. Make Note that the last application form shall be treated as Final.

7) Can I upload the passport photograph and digital copy of my signature shot with mobile phone camera?

The photograph and digital copy of signature may be shot with mobile phone camera, but the size of photograph and digital signature is required in prescribed/specific size/format.

8) How will I recover my lost password through which I had registered myself and had submitted online Application for ILS Pune?

You are required to click on the ‘forgot password’ button and follow the directions to ‘recover/reset your password’.

9) How will I recover my login ID?

Please note that your e-mail ID is your login ID.

10) What is the procedure to make the payment ?

The candidate will be able to make the Payment window opens – with payment modes-  

  • State Bank of India Internet Banking  
  • Other Bank’s Internet Banking  
  • Debit/Credit Cards
  • Cash Deposit. Select any one mode and fill in the required details according to the nature of transaction.
